[Top 13] Star Wars Jedi Survivor Best Lightsabers (Ranked)

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Best Lightsabers
Updated:
06 Aug 2024

The Lightsaber has been an iconic weapon since its inception in Star Wars A New Hope in 1977. “An elegant weapon for a more civilized age,” and a lethal tool capable of cutting through anything or anyone; it’s no surprise that the lightsaber has enraptured fans for decades. Every Star Wars fans’ dream is to have their own lightsaber, and while this is not yet possible, Star Wars Jedi Survivor offers the next best thing.

Ranging from unique to iconic, Jedi Survivor players can unlock a range of lightsabers hilts - some new, and others which have featured before in the Star Wars Universe – which they can then take pieces from to create their own unique lightsaber. This guide will highlight the best preset lightsaber hilts that Jedi Survivor has to offer and explain where you can find them in this galaxy far far away.

13) Scrapyard

  • Emitter: Found in Veiled Hangar on Jedha.
  • Switch: Found in The Archive on Jedha.
  • Grip: Found in The Archive on Jedha.
  • Pommel: Found in Desert Passages on Jedha.

Paying homage to Cal Kestis’ humble origins as a scrapper on Planet Bracca, as featured at the beginning of the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order game, the Scrapyard hilt is a testament to just how far the young Jedi has come. This rusty grey hilt is a reminder of the frugality which the remaining Jedi have had to endure since the fall of the Jedi Order after Order 66. This lightsaber is a testament to Cal’s savviness and determination to survive.

12) Assembly

  • All parts purchased from Sister Taske at the Archives on Jedha.

Like the Scrapyard hilt, the rough and ready Assembly lightsaber is a reminder of Cal’s tough origins. This lightsaber will help you to immerse yourself in the role of a Jedi whose survival is dependent on his thriftiness and ability to use every resource he has to help him evade the clutches of the Empire. This bare-bones lightsaber hilt offers a view into the underlying-mechanics of the lightsaber.  It features loose wires, exposed parts, flashing lights and a glimpse of its power source - the Kyber crystal.

11) Hunter

  • All parts found within a chest in winding Ravine on Koboh.

Featuring wooden accents, tribal patterns and adorned with a large monster tooth on the pommel, The Hunter lightsaber hilt is a testament to Cal’s assimilation with nature. We see this throughout Jedi Survivor, as Cal adeptly navigates vast jungles and deserts, taking on all manner of highly dangerous predators. The Hunter hilt is a reminder of how far Cal has come from the beginning of Jedi Fallen Order, as his power and skill with the lightsaber has grown impressively, and he has transitioned from hunted, to hunter.

10) Eno Cordova

Image
Body Image

  • All parts found within Waynfinder’s Tomb on Jedha.

Eno Cordova’s lightsaber is redolent of the Jedi master himself –a classical, robust hilt design which is a reminder of the Jedi Order during the era of the Grand Republic. Cordova was a Jedi’s Jedi; a genuinely good man with unwavering loyalty to the light side of the force. As such, his hilt features a thin-necked emitter which is shared in the lightsabers of two other light-side devotees; Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker. Though we never see Cordova wielding his lightsaber, this modest-looking hilt allows you to embrace the role of the archetypal jedi knight who uses his weapon solely for peacekeeping purposes, just as Cordova would have done.

9) Edgehawk

  • Emitter: Found in Water Treatment Works on Koboh.
  • Switch: Found in Water Treatment Works on Koboh.
  • Grip: Found in Water Treatment Works on Koboh.
  • Pommel: Found in Rambler's Reach Outpost on Koboh.

The Edgehawk hilt features an angular, gothic design with sharp features. This lightsaber looks like it belongs in the hands of a Sith Lord like Darth Maul or Darth Plagueis. Its intricate, ribbed design is reminiscent of the Mandalorian Dark Saber, so if you want to channel Cal’s dark energy and slaughter your enemies with a hilt which is as fearsome as its blade, then this menacing-looking lightsaber could be the one for you.

8) Hermit

Image

  • All parts available  to those who have preordered Jedi Survivor.

The aptly named Hermit lightsaber hilt is a perfect choice for players who want to embrace the survivalist aspects of Cal’s character. Cal is often forced to go under the radar, sheltering himself from the prying eyes of the Empire, just as Obi-Wan Kenobi had succeeded in doing for so many years on Tatooine. The Hermit hilt is inspired by Kenobi’s first lightsaber, as seen in The Phantom Menace, which was itself inspired by Master Qui Gon’s lightsaber. Join the lineage of some of the galaxy’s most legendary Jedi Masters by equipping the Hermit hilt.

7) Jaro Tapal

Image
Body Image

  • All parts automatically unlocked at the beginning of the game.

Featuring a sleek combination of a rubber grip and prolonged metal emitters, the unique Jaro Tapal hilt is one of the most poignant lightsabers in the game. The sacrifices made by Jaro Tapal, Cal’s former master, earns this hilt a special place in the hearts of all fans of the franchise. In Fallen Order we saw Jaro Tapal take on countless clone troopers during Order 66, usings this lightsaber valiantly to defend his padawan. Tapal gets Cal to safety but sacrifices his own life in doing so. Moments before he dies, Tapal passes his lightsaber to Cal in one of the most heart wrenching moments in Star Wars history. Choose this hilt if you want to honour the legacy of a great jedi - it would feature much higher up the list if it wasn’t automatically unlocked from the beginning of the game.

6) Cere Junda

Image
Body Image

  • All parts found outside the entrance to Jedha’s Archives after an attack from The Empire.

Cere Junda became Cal’s master many years after the death of Jaro Tapal and the fall of the Jedi Order, and her blade reflects this. This lightsaber is worn, rusted and held together with bandages, but its large ringed pommel, long emitter and bespoke design indicates that this was once an elegant lightsaber which had fallen into a sorry state because lightsaber parts are scarce under the reign of the Empire. Honour the Jedi Master who knighted Cal Kestis by defending the Jedi path with the Cere Junda lightsaber hilt equipped.

5) The Duelist

  • Emitter: Found in Phon'Qi Caverns on Koboh.
  • Switch: Found in Phon'Qi Caverns on Koboh.
  • Grip: Found in Phon'Qi Caverns on Koboh.
  • Pommel: Found in Phon'Qi Caverns on Koboh.

From an individual who was determined to preserve the ways of the Jedi, to another who was determined to destroy them, the Duelist hilt is heavily inspired by the infamous Count Dooku. This intricate design with its metallic gold, bronze, and black accents and sharp, sophisticated features is certainly reminiscent of a lightsaber carried by a Sith Lord, if not Dooku himself. This design is for players who want to add a streak of lethal elegance to their battles, which the Count no doubt would have approved of.

4) The Detachment Lightsaber

  • Emitter: Found in Wayfinder's Tomb on Jedha.
  • Switch: Purchased from Sister Taske at the Archive on Jedha.
  • Grip: Purchased from Sister Taske at the Archive on Jedha.
  • Pommel: Found in Fogged Expanse on Koboh.

The Detachment lightsaber hilt emits a powerful aura that makes it seem like it has been wielded by formidable force users for millennia. Its intricately patterned dark metal grip, solid chassis and spiked emitter gives this lightsaber a menacing look which is likely to put off anyone who dares to challenge you.

3) Rebel Hero

  • All parts available with Star Wars: Jedi Survivor Deluxe Edition.

The Rebel Hero lightsaber needs no introduction; Star Wars fans will recognise that it’s nearly identical to the Skywalker lightsaber wielded by Anakin in Revenge of the Sith and then Luke in A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. Embrace the power of the Chosen One and join the Skywalker lineage with this iconic hilt.

2) Santari Khri

Image
Body Image

  • All parts of Santari Khri's lightsaber are found in a large chest in the Untamed Downs on Koboh, in a side cave with a back wall that must be blown apart using a Roller Mine from the nearby bunker.

Santari Khri’s lightsaber is one of my favorites because of its elegant chassis, striking white hilt and the lustrous gold patterns that adorn the switch and pommel, looking like something you might see etched onto the sarcophagus of an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh. Santari Khri’s hilt ranks so highly on this list because one Jedi Survivor’s most compelling storylines revolves around delving into the world of the High Republic when the Jedi Order was at its most powerful. This hilt is the High Republic exemplified; its opulent, luxuriating design is a testament to just how unassailable the Jedi Order was during this period, particularly when compared to some of the more frugal lightsaber designs listed above that were owned by Jedi who had endured far more hardship since the rise of the Empire.

1) Justice

Image
Body Image

  • Emitter: Purchased from Sister Taske at the Archive on Jedha.
  • Switch: Purchased from Sister Taske at the Archive on Jedha.
  • Grip: Found in Trailhead Pantheon on Jedha.
  • Pommel: Found in Blustery Mesa on Jedha.

The Justice lightsaber is my personal favorite because we have never seen anything like this uniquely beautiful design in Star Wars before; a fusion between a lightsaber and a Samurai sword. The sharp, single-bladed emitter and the intricately ribboned fabric grip heavily resemble a katana sword, while the distinctive, dragon-like pommel seems to be inspired by the Orient. Given how George Lucas was greatly influenced by many Japanese films like Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai when he was creating Star Wars, it’s about time that someone added a Samurai-Saber to this galaxy far far away.
