If you’re aiming for a chicken dinner, you need to survive until the very end. Weapons with high damage can be the most effective means of survival. They are also more effective against opponents wearing level 3 armor. 

Although high damage weapons may be more difficult to control, they greatly reduce the time-to-kill, allowing players to eliminate threats more swiftly. 

In the end, strong weapons also have a terrifying aspect. Their loud, resonant sound has an intimidating effect on players nearby.

10. Deagle

Deagle stats:

The Desert Eagle is a well-known semi-automatic pistol, with newer versions loading the powerful .50 cartridges. This makes the Desert Eagle the most powerful sidearm in the world. Just make sure the word replica isn’t written on the side of the gun. 

In PUBG, the Deagle comes with .45 ACP ammunition and a relatively low clip size of 10, but with a high hit damage of 62. The Deagle is harder to control due to its high muzzle velocity.

9. R1895

R1895 stats:

The revolver's sole advantage lies in its high hit damage. The weapon has a significant recoil when fired, and its maximum capacity of 7 bullets is not compensated for by a quick reloading mechanism. In fact, it takes approximately 6.8 seconds to perform a full reload, which is unacceptable in the heat of a battle. 

There is another downside. You cannot attach any scope. Only a silencer. All in all, it is a challenge to master this weapon. Unless you are a hardcore 7.62mm fanboy or fangirl, it’s hard to find any other reason, really.

• High damage is the only benefit of this revolver. Only suited for advanced players.

8. R45

R45 stats:

• Hit damage: 65
• Ammo type: .45 ACP

The R45 is the strongest handgun in PUBG and much quicker to reload than the R1895 revolver. As opposed to the R1895, you can add a scope to get a better vision. The recoil is the same. All in all, it is a better choice if you want to go with a strong sidearm. The only downside is that you can only find this revolver on Miramar.

7. Winchester Model 1894

Winchester stats:

• Bullet Speed: 760 m/s

The Win94 is somewhat underrated. Despite its relatively low hit damage, it comes with a built-in scope, as with the VSS. That's Why it could be a good choice in the early to mid game, as you basically find it everywhere.

The interval between shots is around half a second, which gives you more opportunities to land a hit. Some players will be surprised that they actually got killed by the Win94 once you land the head shot.

Bottom line:

• Due to its availability, the weapon is suitable for early game.
• It comes with a scope, so you can engage in long range combat right away.

How to get the Winchester:

6. M24

M24 stats:

• Hit damage: 75

Initially, the M24 was only available in airdrops. Although it is not as lethal in terms of hit damage as the other vintage sniper rifles, the M24 convinces with its superior muzzle velocity. This results in reduced bullet drop over longer distances.

The M24 offers additional attachment points, which allow for an expanded magazine capacity of eight rounds, compared to the standard five. Additionally, when suppressed, the sound of the M24 is similar to that of a silenced AWM.

5. Mosin Nagant

In PUBG, the Mosin was introduced as a counterpart to the Kar98, differing only in sound and appearance. This was done to provide players with a greater choice in their weapon selection.

Like the Kar98, the Mosin Nagant has less bullet speed than the M24. This means that the bullet drops slightly faster, forcing players to aim just above the opponents head. 

Bottom line:

• Without a silencer, the Mosin is better suited to low- to mid-range combat as it is quieter than the Kar98.

The crossbow is a unique weapon that is somewhat hard to handle. It is for players who prefer a more strategic, stealthy approach to the game. The crossbow is a silent, one-shot-kill weapon where headshots being instant kills, even when enemy players wear a level 3 helmet.

However, due to the low bolt speed, players have to handle a significant bolt drop, making the weapon only effective at lower ranges. Still, in order to get all the achievements in PUBG, you need to kill at least 10 players with that weapon. Less than 1% of players have achieved this.

• One-shot-kill weapon with a high damage. 
• Silent weapon to remain undetected.

2. AWM

AWM stats:

1. Lynx AMR 

Lynx AMR stats:

• Hit damage: 118
• Ammo type: .50 Caliber
• Bullet Speed: 780 m/s
• Extended clip size: 10

The Lynx AMR is the strongest weapon in PUBG. Yet, despite its superior damage capacity, it's rarely used in combat, since it comes with a maximum capacity of only 10 rounds. This limitation confines the Lynx AMR to the middle stages of the game, rather than being a strategic choice for the final showdown. Still, you actually can blow up a motorcycle with a single shot, and a car takes about three shots. Surprise! For the passengers. Rarely happens though.
