[Top 15] CSGO Best Players In The World Right Now

Get to know the guys that inspire you to play CS:GO (and get wrecked badly later)

These are the men that deceive us – making it all look easy. But these are also the men who entertain us all and make our eyes and mouths go wide. Let me present to you the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players on the globe (mid-2021).

15. Hobbit

The veteran master of Gambit

Abay "Hobbit" Khassenov is a rifler from Kazakhstan with a very interesting career trajectory. Soon after winning the major with Gambit back in 2017, he left for HellRaisers but after Gambit’s slump and a fall into irrelevancy, he was signed back by Gambit last year. The 27-year-old’s stats may be rather silent but his guidance to the youngsters of Gambit has not gone unnoticed. Gambit is now at the top of the world and is the front-runners to win the Major this year.
Individually, he has a rating of 1.07 in 2021.

14. Twistzz

The reborn Scream

Russel Van Dulken is a Canadian rifler plying his trade at FaZe Clan currently. He famously played with Liquid and contested for the majors strongly for years. Individually, his numbers are gigantic. With his headshot percentage, he has forced his way into the history books, standing alongside the Scream and a few others for the heftiest numbers. Despite FaZe Clan’s famous fall out of the top 20 (top 35, at that), Twistzz rating and individual performances remain high with a 1.13 rating in 2021.

13. huNter

The talented yet overshadowed brother

Nemanja Kovač is a rifler and the cousin of NiKo. The two brothers both play for G2 and both have been phenomenal so far. With a rating of 1.12 and an ADR of 80.8, he has repeatedly proved himself more than just a shadow of his shared blood. His average damage per round and kills per round are only narrowly beaten by his brother.

12. Jame

The genius long-haired AWPer

Dzhami Ali is another Russian AWPer who has helped Virtus Pro punch way above their weight. Not only is he a great AWPer, but he also is the IGL for VP. Very few match his Deaths Per Round of 0.54 and with a rating of 1.19 in 2021, he hasn’t given many a chance to write him off the books of the best players in the world right now.

11. electronic

Another selfless, overshadowed star

Denis Sharipov is a rifler for NaVi and a great one at that. s1mple’s sidekick has played second fiddle for all his career but his numbers have remained strong and unignorable. With a 1.11 rating in 2021, the clutch-iest but the most inconsistent player on the NaVi roster crawls his way into this list.

10. stavn

The Danish prodigy... heard that before?

Martin Lund, the young Danish prodigy is making Heroic look great this season. stavn has pulled many clutches out of his hat this season. Since Heroic plays strongly as a unit, no single player trumps the others in stats but this rifler’s game speaks for itself, beyond stats. He still has an impressive 1.09 rating, though.

Deadliest Guns:

  • ·AK-47
  • M4A1

9. Degster

Degster. Enough said.

Abdul Gasanov, the Russian AWPer for Team Spirit, has teamed up with mir for great individual and collective performances. With a rating of 1.18 and an extremely good Deaths Per Round, it has been quite a task to kill this man this season. Add to that his 0.75 kills per round and the fact that he’s only 19, you get one hell of a star-of-tomorrow in your hands!

Deadliest Guns:

8. dev1ce

The master of them all.

A legendary Danish named Nicolai Reetz spearheaded a team to historic glory. Astralis for all their strats could always look at the phenomenal AWPer in dev1ce for individual brilliance. His trophy cabinet remains literally unmatched by anyone in the whole Counter-Strike scene (except for Astralis players themselves).
He’s changed teams since then and moved on but in NIP, alongside a 1.14 rating in 2021, he’s upped the levels of all his teammates.

7. NiKo

The most consistent player in always-coming-close-to-being-the-best-in-the-world-but-never-being-one (but being the best rifler multiple times).

Despite having neither the flash of s1mple, nor the explosiveness of sh1ro, this Bosnian-Herzegovinian rifler has been in contention for the world’s best player for years now and has multiple times been the best rifler in the world (2020, for example). His headshot percentage and clutch statistics are eye-watering. He leads G2 currently with a rating of 1.16 alongside his cousin, huNter.

He has an astonishing rating of 1.21 in 2021 and an ADR of 85.1, beating the likes of zywOo and NiKo. He even rivals the untouched player of 2021: s1mple. He has been instrumental in all of Team Spirit’s wins this season.

4. ropz

The one doing the ultimate carryjob: the genius in ropz

Robin Kool is a mousesports rifler who has stepped up immensely after karrigan’s departure. While everyone had dismissed mousesports, this Estonian’s step-up has taken the world by shock and his 1.20 rating speaks for itself. With ice in his veins, his best pops out when he’s under immense pressure. He is the sole reason why mousesports are still relevant in the community today.

3. zywOo

The golden one.

The French prodigy, Mathieu Herbaut, has taken the CS:GO world by storm for the past few years. His sudden emergence on the scene and a direct reach for the #1 spot, beating the ever-consistent s1mple to it, has catapulted him to extreme heights of fame. The slump of his team has been deaccelerated only because of zywOo, who continues to put in admirable performances. He has a 1.24 rating in 2021.

Deadliest Guns:

  • AWP
  • Deagle
  • AK-47

Major Tournament Achievements (Recent):

  • BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 ($425,000)

2. sh1ro

The explosive youngster of Gambit

The 20-year-old Russian, Dmitry Sokolov, has been on the top of the world so far, with Gambit. Sh1ro’s explosive gameplay mirrors Gambit’s explosive re-emergence on the scene. Donning a ridiculous opening kill ratio of 2.19 and average rating of 1.24, this young AWPer seems to have no intentions to slow down. Literally. Because he has the best Deaths Per Round number in the top tier CS:GO scene right now: 0.51.

Deadliest Guns:

  • AWP
  • Deagle

Major Tournament Achievements (Recent):

  • BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021 ($425,000)

1. s1mple

“1 in his name, number 1 in the game”

One of the most famous players in the CS:GO World, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev is a Ukrainian AWPer and entry fragger for Natus Vincere. When he gets going, there’s no stopping him. His consistency has been off the charts for years, something that can’t be said for his team. After losing to zywOo on the #1 spot in 2020, he has been on fire and a man on a mission in 2021 and has been the sole reason betters bet on the most inconsistent team in the world.
Boasting a shocking rating of 1.34 in 2021, he is well on his way to reclaim the supposedly misplaced crown.

Deadliest Guns:

  • ·AWP
  • Deagle
  • AK-47

Major Tournament Achievements (Recent):

  • StarLadder CIS RMR 2021 ($100,000)
  • DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 ($250,000)
