Supercell developers love to keep us on our toes. Thanks to the constant balance changes dished out every few weeks, the new evolution coming out every season, and the latest champion to enter the fray: Little Prince, the Clash Royale meta is in a constant state of flux.
While all these updates strive to keep the game engaging and balanced, most of us find it difficult to keep up with these updates and are left scratching our heads…
Are you wondering why your decks don’t perform as well as they used to? Are you looking for a new deck to try out in your games? Maybe you’re just sick of seeing your opponent spam Heeheehaw emotes every time they win.
Well, I’ve got you covered. Here are the best decks right now for you to climb up the leaderboards:
15. 3.3 Log bait
Play well without breaking the elixir bank.
This is a great low elixir deck. While it has good offensive capabilities, where this deck shines is its defence. Even if your opponent tries to get a tank across, dropping an Inferno Tower lets you tear them down while you quickly cycle back to your win conditions.
Deck Features:
- Bait your opponent’s defences, and punish their mistakes.
- Cheap 4-card cycle to get your Evolved Knight up ASAP.
- Rocket cycle towards the end of the game.
Cards:
- Evolved Knight
- Goblin Barrel
- Rocket
- Princess
- Goblin Gang
- Ice spirit
- Log
- Inferno Tower
Deck stats:
- Attack: 6/10
- Defence: 8/10
- Versatility: 7/10
14. Miner Poison 2.8 Cycle
A second cousin of the Miner Control Deck.
This cheap cycle deck is forgiving and easy to use. And it’s a NUISANCE to play against. As most troops are fairly cheap, making a mistake isn’t a dealbreaker, you can recover and keep chipping away your opponent’s tower with the guaranteed damage from your spams.
Deck Features:
- Quickly cycling to your evolved Mortar.
- Spamming Miner + Poison in the later stages of the match.
- Defending against charging troops and swarms.
Cards:
- Evolved Mortar
- Miner
- Little Prince
- Poison
- Goblins
- Minions
- Ice Spirit
- Log
Deck stats:
- Attack: 5/10
- Defence: 9/10
- Versatility: 8/10
13. WB Miner Poison 2.9 Cycle
A cycle deck with defence that feels like Fort Knox.
This deck will be a pain for your opponents to deal with. Its low average elixir means you can keep deploying your Miner and Wallbreakers across both towers, and nearly guarantees damage while you cycle to your Evolved Knight.
Deck Features:
- Quick cycle to your Evolved Knight.
- Split pushing with Wall Breakers.
- Godly defence and counter-push capabilities.
Cards:
- Evolved Knight
- Wall breakers
- Miner
- Little Prince
- Poison
- Goblins
- Log
- Bomb Tower
Deck stats:
- Attack: 6/10
- Defence: 8/10
- Versatility: 8/10
12. Rhogs 2.6 Cycle
Not an easy deck to play, but a rewarding one.
With this deck, you have to earn your damage with your Royal Hogs breaking through the enemy’s defence. But if you play this deck well - you'll be rewarded. You can also make a lot of cool plays with the evolved skeletons, like pairing them with your Royal Hogs. But this isn't a forgiving deck, especially with all the Mega Knights in the Meta, so play smartly!
Deck Features:
- Cheap 4-card cycle to get your Evolved Skeletons Up.
- Spam your opponents when you have an elixir lead.
- Punish your opponents when they overcommit and tear them down!
Cards:
- Evolved Skeletons
- Royal Hogs
- Little Prince
- Earthquake
- Ice Spirit
- Royal Delivery
- Log
- Cannon
Deck stats:
- Attack: 9/10
- Defence: 7/10
- Versatility: 6/10
11. Hog MM 2.9 Cycle
One of my favourite Hog cycle decks.
Deploy your Mighty Miner to leverage the reduced cycle the champion offers - getting to an Evolved Firecracker in no time, who can get a ton of value if your opponent doesn’t have Arrows. Stay calm, and keep cycling your Hog Rider!
Deck Features:
- 3-card cycle with Mighty Miner deployed, so you quickly get to your Evolved Firecracker.
- Teardown buildings with your Earthquake, and clear the path with your Hog Rider with a preemptive Log.
- Evaporate your opponent’s tanks with Mighty Miner.
Cards:
- Evolved Firecracker
- Hog Rider
- Mighty Miner
- Earthquake
- Goblins
- Ice Spirit
- Log
- Bomb Tower
Deck stats:
- Attack: 7/10
- Defence: 8/10
- Versatility: 7/10
10. Hog 2.6 Cycle
A cheaper variation of the previous Hog Cycle deck.
There’s no Champion in this deck, and it uses Skeletons instead of Goblins to lower the 4-card cycle cost to 2.6. You can switch out Bomb Tower instead of the Tesla Tower if you prefer to have more splash damage, it all depends on your playstyle.
Deck Features:
- No 3-card cycle here, but it remains cheaper to get to an evolved Firecracker with your lower average elixir costs.
- Good Log predictions can lead to a lightning-fast win for you.
- Draw any building-targeting units with your Tesla Tower.
Cards:
- Evolved Firecracker
- Hog Rider
- Knight
- Earthquake
- Skeletons
- Ice Spirit
- Log
- Tesla Tower
Deck stats:
- Attack: 7/10
- Defence: 9/10
- Versatility: 9/10
9. Splash Yard (With Ice Wizard)
This is a counter-push heavy deck, so don't worry too much about leaking elixir at the start. With this deck, it’s best to take it slow and passive unless your opponent over-commits, opening the door for you to punish them. If they play an expensive tank in the back, immediately target the opposite lane with a graveyard to leave your opponent questioning their life decisions, but don't get too excited and forget about defending, make sure to tackle their tank when you can.
Deck Features:
- Be patient, play passively, and punish aggressive players.
- Defend the bridge and spam Graveyard+Poison whenever you can.
- Draw any building-targeting units with your Tombstone.
Cards:
- Evolved Knight
- Graveyard
- Baby Dragon
- Poison
- Ice Wizard
- Tornado
- Barbarian Barrel
- Tombstone
Deck stats:
- Attack: 6/10
- Defence: 10/10
- Versatility: 3/10
8. EGiant Bowler Nado
This, I must admit, is a fun, low-skill beatdown deck.
Despite the high average elixir cost, you can build up great pushes, especially when you have your Evolved Archers in cycle supporting your Electro Giant. Your spells and buildings are there to help you hold back the fort whenever your opponent is pushing. Just don’t overcommit unless your opponent gets aggressive!
Deck Features:
- Draw in enemy troops to your Electro Giant and your Bowler with Tornado.
- Distract building-targeting troops with your cannon.
- Wipe out Mid-Health troops with a well-timed tornado.
Cards:
- Evolved Archers
- Electro Giant
- Little Prince
- Bowler
- Lightning
- Tornado
- Barbarian Barrel
- Cannon
Deck stats:
- Attack: 8/10
- Defence: 10/10
- Versatility: 9/10
7. GobG Bowler Fishboy Rage
This is an easy deck to play, but it’s hard to master.
It’s a pseudo-beatdown deck - but the catch here is that you have to defend well. Bear in mind though that you can't always defend perfectly with this deck, sometimes you need to take a bit of damage to avoid an overcommitment, but once you have an elixir lead, you can tear your opponent to shreds.
Deck Features:
- Grab some easy King Tower activations with your Fisherman.
- Drop your Little Prince for quick cycles to your Evolved Archers.
- Be patient yet strategic to punish your opponent’s mistakes.
Cards:
- Evolved Archers
- Goblin Giant
- Little Prince
- Bowler
- Lightning
- Fisherman
- Goblins
- Rage
Deck stats:
- Attack: 6/10
- Defence: 8/10
- Versatility: 5/10
6. Splashyard (With Little Prince)
Yet another Splashyard deck.
The main difference between this deck and the previous one is that it uses the Champion: Little Prince, instead of Ice Wizard. Again, you want to play passively: Stay patient to punish your opponents.
Deck Features:
- Use Little Prince for a reduced cycle to get Evolved Knight in your deck ASAP!
- A healthy combination of ground and air-targeting with Little Prince.
- Defend without overcommitting to catch your opponents by surprise!
Cards:
- Evolved Knight
- Graveyard
- Little Prince
- Baby Dragon
- Poison
- Tornado
- Barbarian Barrel
- Tombstone
Deck Stats:
- Attack: 6/10
- Defence: 8/10
- Versatility: 7/10
5. MegaKnight Bandit Bridge Spam Ghost
Remember when I said earlier that Mega Knight was back in the meta? This deck is a ton of fun to play. With a good balance between offence and defence, where this deck shines is its versatility, you can hold your own against almost any matchup here and decimate mid-ladder games.
Deck Features:
- Play your Royal Ghost, Bandit, or Ram Rider in the back to force your opponent to play a card defending that side, while you take advantage and drop cards in the opposite lane.
- Poison to help support your offensive troops, and to take out any offensive airborne troops when your Archers and Little Prince are out of cycle.
- Build up pushes by dropping your Mega Knight in the back and playing any supportive troops to rip your opponent to shreds.
Cards:
- Evolved Archers
- Poison
- Ram Rider
- Little Prince
- Royal Ghost
- Mega Knight
- Bandit
- Zap
Deck Stats:
- Attack: 8/10
- Defence: 7/10
- Versatility: 9/10
4. Pekka Bandit Bridge Spam Ghost
Long lost sibling of the previous deck.
In this bridge spam deck, Mega Knight is switched with Pekka, Ram Rider is Switched with a Battle Ram, and Poison is switched with Fireball. But while you become slightly more vulnerable to swarm troops, a well-placed Pekka can double as a god-tier defender to tear down tanks, or, if uncontested, a force of offensive destruction. A quick tip: Make sure to get as much damage as you can before Double Elixir, as it gets a bit harder to play.
Deck Features:
- Kite your opponents’ troops with high Battle Ram in the opposite lane
- Quickly get your Evolved Archers with Little Prince’s reduced cycle
- Teardown tanks and towers with a supported Pekka.
Cards:
- Evolved Archers
- Battle Ram
- Pekka
- Little Prince
- Royal Ghost
- Fireball
- Bandit
- Zap
Deck Stats:
- Attack: 8/10
- Defence: 9/10
- Versatility: 7/10
3. LumberLoon Double Dragon Bowler Freeze
A timeless classic.
You’ve probably come across this deck a few times and maybe played it yourself. This deck doesn’t have any evolved troops or Champions, and it shines in double elixir, so stay patient. Don’t worry about leaking elixir if your opponent doesn’t play anything at the start. Play defensively, and build up an insane push in the endgame.
Deck Features:
- Combo Lumberjack and Balloon whenever your opponent’s air defence is out of cycle.
- Tornado any troops towards your Bowler’s path of destruction.
- Patience is key.
Cards:
- Balloon
- Barbarian Barrell
- Bowler
- Electro Dragon
- Freeze
- Inferno Dragon
- Lumberjack
- Tornado
Deck Stats:
- Attack: 7/10
- Defence: 10/10
- Versatility: 8/10
2. GobG FishBoy Rage
An easy-to-play, hard-to-counter beatdown deck.
Here, we’ve got the Evolved Royal Recruits, which you can get to after just one cycle. It’s got a great balance between offence and defence and doesn’t leave you vulnerable to ground or air troops.
Deck Features:
- Invest a Goblin Giant in the back to build up an insane push.
- Don’t overcommit, but don’t play too defensively, keep your opponent on their toes!
- Use Fisherman either to support your pushing decks, pulling in any high-damage troops away from your tanks, or to defend, maybe netting you a King Tower activation too!
Cards:
- Evolved Royal Recruits
- Goblin Giant
- Little Prince
- Fisherman
- Fireball
- Goblins
- Minions
- Rage
Deck Stats:
- Attack: 9/10
- Defence: 8/10
- Versatility: 8/10
1. LumberLoon SD FishBoy
I’m at a loss for words when trying to describe this deck.
It’s a mid-skill deck that’s extremely fun to play! Not only does it have an insane offensive potential, it’s defensive performance is top-notch! It opens up so many different doors to attack, even if your main win condition: LumberLoon is out of cycle. Royal Recruits are great for building a defence that morphs into a counter push, and if you time it just right, you can make some pretty slick plays with your snowball.
Deck Features:
- Plenty of options to build a deadly push.
- A good defence can turn into a godly counter push and net you the victory.
- Phenomenal split-pushing capabilities.
Cards:
- Evolved Royal Recruits
- Balloon
- Lumberjack
- Little Prince
- Fisherman
- Skeleton Dragons
- Arrows
- Snowball
Deck Stats:
- Offence: 10/10
- Defence: 9/10
- Versatility: 9/10
And that's it for now! See you in the next one.
