(A lumberjack's dream)
Overview:
Ah yes, a good ole Quelling Blade is a great normal start to help with farm clear wards and also keep you safe from getting tree stuck. I recommend picking one up for the early game if for no other reason than farming purposes.

- Allows you to clear unusual paths through the trees
- Early minion damage makes last hitting easier at lower levels

A circlet where you can hear the whispers of the raging on the enemy team, an easy early game pick-up that can boost your farming and fighting potential this item is a take or leave depending on your gameplan and how your lane progresses.

- Great starter item for last hitting
- Stats improve after 25 minutes

These boots were made for stomping and that’s just what they’ll do, Power Treads are a popular pick-up on Riki making that backstab damage really hurt with the additional agility to choose from. Don’t forget to switch them to agility though you’ll know when they turn green, so come pick your pair up from Courier airmail today.

Overview:
This is a great early pick-up for Riki players as the bonuses it gives can catapult you ahead all for just 2050 gold. To sweeten the deal it builds into Manta-Style and guess the other, here’s a hint it’s in the name. That’s right Sange and Yasha, so yes I’d recommend picking one up.

Crits…one of the most toxic relationships with a Moba player, great on your side but not so much when against you. That being said this item is awesome for Riki players who want to press the backspace key on fragile heroes, and even scare the tankier ones, would highly recommend.

8. Butterfly

Overview:
Butterfly is an awesome weapon for Riki giving him evasion and agility in large quantities for the not-so-modest price of 4975 gold. With it being so expensive I’d recommend this item only if you have the space to farm for this later in the game.
Why this item:
- The item grants evasion to keep you alive in duels
- The attack speed bonus means you’ll get more backstabs in causing your overall damage to increase
- Increase your armor due to the additional 30 agility which is Riki’s primary stat

Overview:
Sange and Yasha is an awesome item if you’re behind the eight ball. With it taking less time to get off the ground it makes coming back much easier. I recommend buying this item if you find yourself needing more sustain.

( I would rather call this the life-saving wand, but that's just me)
Overview:
A lot of people might argue this is a pick-up on anyone but Riki doesn’t have much in terms of survivability early, well not with his Magic Wand. I recommend picking up a Magic Wand at your earliest convenience.

- Makes trading in lane and harassing easier
- Makes fighting Bristleback easier

If the rock is big enough it can take down anything, right? Well, building Meteor Hammer on Riki is a match made in space because that’s what this item creates for him, vast amounts of space.

Manta being a do to for many heroes speaks loudly of its uses. However, on Riki, it can turn him from a solitary assassin into an illusion-bearing shredder. I highly recommend trying this item in your next Rikimaru game.

Black King Bar is often the difference between life and death for more fragile heroes. For 4050 gold this is normally an item that's more optional than mandatory, however, is overall a good pick up in most situations.

Overview: Nullifier is an amazing late-game item, its total price coming in at 4725 gold. So it is pretty darn expensive but is super powerful against heroes like Life-Stealer.

- Significant Armor increase
- Continuous dispels that pierces spell immunity
- Grants 6 HP regen so you can recover after fights a little better

Overview: Diffusal Blade is number one on the list of Best items for Riki for 2500 gold, this is normally the first large gold item you buy in many, many Riki builds.
Why this item:
- Gives you 15 agility which is Riki’s primary stat
- Grants and active slow to catch speedy enemies
- Great for fighting high intelligence heroes with the on-hit mana burn
Get this item if:
- You are against a lot of Intelligence heroes
- You need an item to give you additional agility for Riki’s backstab modifier
- The enemy team has high movement speed and you need to catch them.
