[Top 5] Genshin Impact Best Healing Food

Genshin Impact Best Healing Food
After all, we don't always have healer ready, right?

Genshin Impact has a variety of food for players to either cook or purchase in the game. With four categories of food based on their function, one of them is Guardian; foods that either regenerate your HP or revive a fallen party.

As of now, there are a total of 69 foods you can either purchase or cook in the game. On top of that, there is also another category of Special Dishes that has 37 menus in total. Special Dishes either need a certain character to make them, or are only available during certain events.

Special Dishes from certain characters upgrade the existing stats of the original recipe with a similar but different look. But, this list isn’t going to include these dishes.

There are 3 stages of cooking these dishes: Normal, Delicious, or Suspicious. Each would give you different numbers for the stats it’s supposed to boost with Suspicious being the lowest and Delicious the highest.

Here are the top 5 healing foods from the game!

5. Teyvat Fried Egg

As the first recipe that we get once the cooking feature is unlocked, you can’t not know of Teyvat Fried Egg if you play Genshin Impact.

Teyvat Fried Egg, or what’s basically a sunny-side up, revives a fallen member with a restored 50-150 HP. It’s a very simple and mundane food, I admit, but it's a free recipe, easy to make, and does its job good enough.

But the actual reason is because the recipe only consists of one thing: a Bird Egg and you’re done. You can go on one of the cliffs near the mountain areas in Liyue to find a whole bunch of eggs, or you can just send one of your characters on an expedition to get Bird Eggs everyday.

Simple, right?

If you’ve got Bennett, there’s a chance to get the Special Dish when you cook the Teyvat Fried Egg with him.

Why Teyvat Fried Egg is Great:

  • Recipe is free from the beginning
  • Ingredient is easy to find
  • Only made of 1 Bird Egg
  • Has a Special Dish: Teyvat Charred Egg by Bennett

Food Stats:

  • Normal: Revives a fallen member and restores 100 HP
  • Delicious: Revives a fallen member and restores 150 HP
  • Suspicious: Revives a fallen member and restores 50 HP

4. Crystal Shrimp

Honestly, it was between this and Flaming Red Bolognese because they have the same effect anyway. The spaghetti requires less ingredients, yes, but eventually Crystal Shrimp wins because it uses Shrimp Meat, which is rarely used on other foods. With this, you can use your Raw Meats on other recipes while still having a Guardian dish to fill your HP.

Once you’ve reached AR 25, you can buy the Crystal Shrimp recipe in Wanmin’s Restaurant for 2,500 Mora.

The ingredients of this dimsum are rather easy to find: you can simply buy everything in shops, or find the Carrot in the wilderness.

Additionally, as it restores 22% of your max HP on Delicious level and then regenerates up to 470 HP every 5 seconds for 30 seconds, you can get up to 2,820 HP from the regeneration.

Why Crystal Shrimp is Great:

  • Ingredients are easy to find
  • Other recipes rarely use shrimp, so you can stack shrimps for this recipe
  • Restores % according to your Max HP and more
  • Has a Special Dish: All-Delicacy Parcels by Xingqiu

Food Stats:

  • Normal: Restores 20% of Max HP to the selected character and regenerates 390 HP every 5s for 30s.
  • Delicious: Restores 22% of Max HP to the selected character and regenerates 470 HP every 5s for 30s.
  • Suspicious: Restores 18% of Max HP to the selected character and regenerates 300 HP every 5s for 30s.

3. Golden Shrimp Balls

As one of the foods with the highest HP restoration when reviving a fallen party, I believe Golden Shrimp Ball deserves a place in this list.

To add, the recipe is also basically free and rather easy to obtain as you only need to reach Level 1 of Liyue’s Reputation.

But what eventually leads this particular dish to be one of the best healing foods is because the ingredients are fairly easy to find. Like Crystal Shrimp, the ingredients for Golden Shrimp Ball are all purchasable in some shops in Liyue.

Also, Shrimp Meats are rarely used in other recipes. That said, you can use the other ingredients like Raw Meats freely while using Shrimp Meat for this recipe.

Why Golden Shrimp Balls is Great:

  • Ingredients are all obtainable through market
  • Shrimps are rarely used in other ingredients, so you can stack them for this recipe
  • Has one of the highest restoration HP after reviving

Food Stats:

  • Normal: Revives a character and restores 1,200 HP
  • Delicious: Revives a character and restores 1,500 HP
  • Suspicious: Revives a character and restores 900 HP

2. Matsutake Meat Rolls

It’s a hard call between this and Sweet Madame, as both give the same effects and both recipes are easy to find. Eventually, I chose this one because it uses Matsutake, an easy to find ingredient that is less used compared to Sweet Flower, its counterpart for Sweet Madame.

Well, what I’m saying is they’re both great and easy to make but I can’t put two dishes with the exact same effect on this list. So that was an honorary mention.

Matsutake Meat Rolls offers you up to 24% of your Max HP and then an additional HP up to 1,500. It’s pretty good when you don’t want to suddenly fill your HP gauge.

The ingredients needed for this recipe are also rather easy to farm. On top of that, the amount of ingredients needed aren’t all that much, too; just two each. If this isn’t effective and efficient, I’m not sure what is.

Why Matsutake Meat Rolls is Great:

  • Recipe is free
  • Ingredients are easy to find
  • Food is buyable
  • HP Restoration is based on % of Max HP and more

Food Stats:

  • Normal: Restores 22% of Max HP and an additional 1,200 HP
  • Delicious: Restores 22% of Max HP and an additional 1,500 HP
  • Suspicious: Restores 22% of Max HP and an additional 900 HP

How to Get Matsutake Meat Rolls:

  • Recipe obtainable by doing the Custodian of Clouds quest
  • Food can also be purchased through Verr Goldet in Wangshu Inn for 1,755 Mora with a limit of two purchases per day.

1. Monstadt Hash Brown

Aaand the first place goes to Monstadt Hash Brown. As a Razor main, I am very embarrassed I got this recipe fairly late because I didn’t realize clearing Temple of the Wolf will reward you with this recipe. Please don’t forget to clear that domain once you’ve reached AR 15!

For a dish that can heal for as much as 34% of your max HP with a maximum bonus of 1,900 HP, Monstadt Hash Brown requires only very little amount of ingredients. The jam is a bit hard to compile if you don’t constantly make them, but else, all is practically very good.

That being said, this dish ticks off all the necessary points: easy ingredients, high HP, free recipe. Who’s even surprised it’s on number one?

Why Monstadt Hash Brown is Great:

  • Recipe is free to get as a reward
  • Ingredients are easy to find
  • High HP restoration with 34% from Max HP at most with an additional of 1,900
  • Has a Special Dish: Puppy-Paw Hash Brown by Razor

Food Stats:

  • Normal: Restores 32% of Max HP and an additional 1,250 HP
  • Delicious: Restores 34% of Max HP and an additional 1,900 HP
  • Suspicious: Restores 30% of Max HP and an additional 600 HP
