[Top 10] Best Genshin Impact Farming Schedules To Follow

Genshin, like many other games, has their characters and weapons requiring materials to ascend, increasing the level cap, its stats, and character’s talents are also raised through materials as well. That said, finding the materials can be either the easy or the harder part. Let’s take a look shall we.

Things to consider

Before we begin, consider the following;

  • We are looking specifically at Regional Specialities: We are looking at character materials, specifically, regional specialities. These can be found all across the map, and you usually don’t have to fight anybody. This means we won’t be including;
    • Bosses
    • Domains
    • Ley Lines
    • Enemies on the map
    • Artifacts
  • We will be looking at some of them: There are 34 regional specialities. I’m not doing them all, and I’m not sure you’d want to read them all either. So, top 10 it is.
  • We will look at ones you can find on map: Many regional specialities can be found on the map, either in the wild, or can be bought in stores on the map. Some can also be grown in the player's teapot. We will be looking at the ones on the map such as in the wild or in stores. Many of them can or cannot be grown in the teapot, and we will be ignoring the option of growing them in the teapot.
  • These are the most efficient routes, not all of them: Many of these can be found outside of the routes mentioned here, but are either isolated location-wise, or are singular, and might not be worth the time to go look for. So if the videos within the article and the article itself gives different amounts, you know why.

1: Rainbow Rose Routes

Image

Eugenie in Fontaine, where Rainbow Roses can be purchased

Rainbow roses are a critical material for raising Arlechino and Lyney, two very powerful DPS options. Rainbow roses are a regional speciality for Fontaine. There are some 81 available roses, and following the routes, it can take as little as 8 minutes to collect them all.

  • Elynas
    • Go to the waypoint
    • then head straight south.
    • Once you get to a small lake, you’ll find two roses.
    • You will then follow the path, where you will find another 3 roses.
    • At this point, cut south, towards a second waypoint where you’ll find 6 of them clustered around this southern Elynas waypoint.
    • The southernmost of Elynas waypoint is next, where going east from there towards a small village, wherein 7 roses can be found.
    • Cross over towards the island southeast of this location
    • head to the southeast coast of this island, where you will find 4 roses.
    • Head North back to the mainland to the waypoint
    • Head northwest. On the cliff sides there, you’ll find 5 more rainbow roses.
  • Marcotta Station
    • Now, head to the waypoint at Marcotta Station, and you’ll find two clusters of Rainbow Roses, that would total 5 roses.
  • Fountain of Lucine
    • Go to the waypoint there, and head towards the actual fountain.
    • Go left, you’ll find 3.
    • Go right, and you’ll find 6.
  • Northwest of the Court of Fontaine
    • Go to the waypoint just Northwest of the court of Fontaine.
    • Then go north from there
    • Follow the road north from there, before cutting straight across. Do this route, and you’ll find 7 roses.
    • Go to the waypoint due North of the Northwest Waypoint, and then follow the trail to a small town, where you’ll find 8 more roses.
  • Court of Fontaine Station
    • Go to the waypoint slightly southwest of the Aquabus station by the court of Fontaine.
    • Go underwater.
    • Head up onto the island that the aquabus station is on, and then you’ll be able to collect another 4 roses.
      • As Fontainian characters leap out of the water like dolphins, using a Fontaine character could shave some time off the task if that is something you care about.
  • Loch Urania
    • Go to the waypoint on the cliffside between Loch Urania and the first ruins of the Fontainan research institute. You’ll find a cluster of 4 nearby.
    • Finally, just north of Loch Urania, you’ll find a waypoint, and a trail.
    • Go south down the trail towards Loch Urania where you’ll find the last cluster of 4 rainbow roses.
  • Also, you can purchase up to 5 Rainbow roses from Eugenie in the Court of Fontaine. This resets every Monday.

2: Sand Grease Pupa Routes

One of the funniest ironies of the Genshin meta (for me personally) is the fact that one of the best DPS characters, Alhaitam, and one of the weakest DPS, Dehya, share the same regional speciality, the Sand Grease Pupa. With 74 on the map, a good speedrunner can accomplish farming this in 7 minutes. I say ‘can’, as one of the distinct features of this one is the fact that much of it can be found underground.

  • Wenut Tunnels
    • Go to the City of the Deceased, which is a one-time Domain within the Wenut tunnels.
      • You will find both the domain and the tunnels in the Desert of Hadramaveth.
    • You will then have to go deeper into the Wenut tunnel, heading southwards, and towards the Setekh Wenut boss arena.
      • It should be noted that you can find some of the Pupa on the side of the arena, but not within the arena itself.
    • Just by exploring both the upper and middle levels of the Wenut tunnels, you will find 32 Sand Grease Pupa.
    • There are some Pupa on the lowest level of the Wenut tunnels.
      • At the waypoint just south of the Setekh Wenut boss arena, follow the trail southward away from the boss arena, and you’ll find on that path, another 7 pupas.
    • Go to the waypoint at the Passage of Ghouls
    • Head west and slightly down. You’ll find 2 pupas there.
  • The Sands of the Three Canals has 2 main routes.
    • The first one is a waypoint on the Southwestern path between Wounded Shin Valley and Mt. Damavand. Head east and up a ledge, you’ll find two clusters, totaling 5.
    • The second one is a Waypoint on the Southeastern branch of the trail heading towards Mt. Damavand. Head south from the waypoint, and you’ll find another 5 along the trail.
  • Wadi Al-Majuj also has two routes
    • Eastern Route
      • Go to the eastern waypoint of Wadi Al-Majuj.
      • Go straight eastward from it, and you’ll find 5 Pupas on the other side of the second trail there.
    • Western Route
      • Go to the Western waypoint of Wadi Al-Majuj
      • Head Northeast, and up the side. You’ll find a cluster there.
      • If you head north from there, you’ll find another 2 clusters.
    • These two routes should yield you another 8 Pupas.
  • Safhe Shatranj
    • Head to the western waypoint of Safhe Shatranj.
    • Then head east alongside the cliff wall (on top of the cliff). Here you’ll find about three clusters of Pupas, gaining 5 pupas for the trouble.
  • Qusayr Al Inkhida
    • Head to the northern waypoint of Qusayr Al Inkhida
    • Head south. You’ll come across a cave that is one of the entrances of the Wenut tunnel.
    • Continue following the path straight south, and you’ll find the last 4 Sand Grease Pupa.

3: Lakelight Lily Routes

Furina is the current Meta’s queen of Sub DPS and Support. Emilie is a very solid Sub DPS. They both find the Lakelight Lily to be marvelous, especially considering that it is a necessary material for the both of them. With 78 in total, taking less than 7 minutes, and all found on the Eastern half of Fontaine, accruing these can ensure that your Sub DPS have firepower (metaphorically, these do not grant Pyro to Furina or Emilie).

  • Loch Urania
    • Go to the Waypoint to the west of Loch Urania.
    • Head straight towards Loch Urania. This way, you’ll find some 18 Lilies.
      • It should be noted that using characters that can easily traverse water such as Furina, Kokomi, or Mualani are highly recommended.
    • Heading on the trail southwest from Loch Urania, and you’ll find another 3 Lilies.
  • Weeping Willow of the Lake
    • Head straight to Weeping Willow Of The Lake, you will find some 39 Lakelight Lilies on the surface, both on the shore and just around the actual Willow.
      • Once again, characters that can easily traverse water such as Furina, Kokomi or Mualani are highly recommended if you are speedrunning this.
  • Southern Weeping Willow of the Lake region
    • Heading south from the Southern Weeping Willow Of The Lake waypoint.
    • Follow the trail that will take you eastward, you’ll find 9 lilies along the trail.
  • Foggy Forest Path
    • The waypoint at Foggy Forest Path will have some 10 lilies within the immediate vicinity, just across the stream.
  • Pashiv’s shop
    • Finally, Lakelight Lilies can be purchased from Pahsiv’s shop, which can be found at the waypoint between Loch Urania and Weeping Willow Of The Lake. It should be noted however;
      • This shop only opens after completing The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes quest line.
      • Will yield you 15 Lilies
      • Does not reset, so once purchased, you cannot purchase them again from here

4: Kalpalata Lotus Routes

Another irony is that Nahida, one of the most prestigious of Sub DPS and Support, and Dori, a character often ignored, share the same ascension material, the Kalpalata Lotus. For such a pretty flower though, it is actually extremely hard, at 67 available on the map, taking 11 minutes minimum to get them all, and being found all over the rainforest region of Sumeru, finding it is a surprisingly tough challenge, but a doable one.

  • Mawtiyima Forest
    • Start at the Northwest waypoint of Mawtiyima Forest.
    • Head south up the mountain will get you but a single cluster.
    • You then have to go to the other side of the forest, where you’ll find another 3 clusters. This should give you 7 in total.
  • Gandharva Ville
    • Head just south of the Dendro Statue at Gandharva Ville, you’ll find 6 more Lotuses in a tight cluster.
  • Devantaka Mountain
    • Go to the waypoint at Devantaka Mountain.
    • Then head east, whereupon you’ll find the first cluster.
    • Head northwest from there, and you’ll find another two clusters next to each other. This should yield another 6 Lotuses.
  • Vimara Village
    • Go to the waypoint west of Vimara Village.
    • Head southeast from the waypoint towards the river, where you’ll find three clusters on the western shore. This will yield players 8 Lotuses.
  • Apam Woods
    • Go to the northern waypoint just west of the Apam Woods.
    • Head straight across to the other side of the river within the Apam Woods. Here, you’ll find 2 clusters, yielding another 8 Lotuses.
  • Yasna Monument has two routes.
    • Route 1
      • The waypoint to the south has two clusters, provided you go north. You’ll find them at the edge of the highest point on the mountain. This yields 8 Lotuses.
    • Route 2
      • Go to the Dendro statue to the East.
      • Then head west across the trail, resulting in you finding several clusters that yield 6 Lotuses.
  • Vanarana
    • Go to the above ground waypoint to the West of Vanarana.
    • Head east along the northern branch of the trail will give you two more Lotuses.
  • Vissudha Field has no less than 4 routes.
    • Route 1
      • The waypoint east of the Fane of Ashvattha is the first spot.
      • Head eastward along the southern shore of the small lake there, and you’ll find 3 Lotuses.
    • Route 2
      • Start at the easternmost waypoint to the northeast of the Dendro statue.
      • Head southwest and you’ll find two clusters, giving 7 more Lotuses.
    • Route 3
      • Go to the waypoint in the area that is underground.
      • Go southwest, where you’ll find 1 that is underground.
    • Route 4
      • Go to the westernmost waypoint north of the Fane of Ashvattha.
      • Go Northeast a little, before going straight across the stream there. You’ll find several small clusters, giving you the last 5.
  • Armani
    • Finally, once you have completed the Dream Nursery quest, which is part of the Aranyaka world quest chain, you can buy 5 Kalpalata Lotuses from Aramani. This resets daily, which is nice.

5: Lumitoile Routes

The Luitoile is the regional speciality for Neuvillette and Clorinde, otherwise known as one of the best DPS in the current Meta, and another really strong option as well. With 79 of them in Fontaine, and taking as little as 10 minutes to collect, Lumitoiles are surprisingly easy to collect.

  • Mont Esus East (above ground)
    • Go to the waypoint at Mont Esus East.
    • Follow the coastline north, you’ll find 4 Lumitoiles.
    • Just east of here you’ll head south, along the coastline and some of the islands to the south, you’ll find another 8 Lumitoiles.
  • Mont Esus East (under the water)
    • In the waypoint east of Mont Esus East under the water, you’ll find two main routes.
      • Meropide
        • Clustered around the outer level of the Fortress of Meropide, you’ll find 5 Lumitoiles.
      • Open water
        • Starting from the central underwater waypoint, you will follow a somewhat counterclockwise path around the area, heading towards the waypoint to the southeast of the initial waypoint. This path should yield 13 Lumitoiles.
  • Liffey
    • Go to the Liffey Hydro Statue.
    • Then head across the channel.
    • Follow the coastline south. This gives 6 Lumitoiles.
  • New Fontaine Research Institute
    • Go east of the New Fontaine Research Institute.
    • Following the coast both northward and southward gives some 21 Lumitoiles.
    • In the sea west of the New Fontaine Research Institute, another two routes can be found.
      • Route 1
        • After you find the Northernmost Lumitoile, head south into the sea, where you’ll find a cluster. This will give 2 Lumitoiles.
      • Route 2
        • Go to the middle waypoint within the sea west of the New Fontaine Research Institute.
        • Head east, where you’ll find the last 2 Lumitoiles.
  • Central Laboratory Ruins
    • Start at the Northernmost waypoint at the Central Laboratory Ruins.
    • You will then head southeast towards the coast. You’ll find 4 on the north coast, and cross the channel to the southside for a 5th Lumitoile.
  • Millennial Pearl Seahorse
    • Head east of the Millennial Pearl Seahorse.
    • Follow the paths both northward and southward, you’ll find the last 13 Lumitoiles.

6: Sea Ganoderma Routes

Image
image
Obata in Inazuma, where you can buy Sea Ganoderma

Sea Ganoderma can be found throughout Inazuma, and is an ascension material for Yae Miko, who is a powerful Sub DPS option, and for Kazuha, an equally powerful support character. That being said, this one compared to the previous ones is significantly more labor intensive, as there are 164 of them my dudes, and farming them can take 23 minutes minimum. It might be better to think of this one less as routes, and more like searching specific areas. But for Yae and Kazuha, it might be worth the effort.

  • On Narukami island, there are 24 Ganodermas.
    • North of Konda village
    • The shore North of the Narukami shrine
    • Along the coast between Chinju Forest and the Kamisato estate
    • A triangular point between The Kamisato estate and the easternmost Waverider point.
    • The shoreline south of Inazuma city
  • On Kannazuka Island, you’ll find 39 Ganodermas
    • All across the Northern area of Kannazuka island.
    • Sections of the southern shore.
    • You’ll find 39 Sea Ganoderma.
  • On Yashiori Island, you’ll find 11 Sea Ganoderma.
    • Maguu Kenki
      • Go to the waypoint east of the Maguu Kenki.
      • Head Northeast from that waypoint to the coast, where you’ll find 5 Sea Ganoderma.
    • Fort Fujitou/Fort Mumei
      • Go to the waypoint west of Fort Fujitou.
      • Then head west to Fort Mumei, where you’ll find 6 Sea Ganoderma.
  • Watatsumi Island has 24 Sea Ganoderma

    • Finally, Obata the Fisherman in Ritou can sell 5 Sea Ganoderma. This will reset after 3 days.

7: Windwheel Aster Routes

Image
image
Flora in Mondstadt, where you can buy Windwheel Asters

The Windwheel Aster is an essential ascension material for Bennett, widely regarded as among the best support characters, Sucrose, often regarded as a solid option for Support or Sub DPS roles, and can be used by the traveler, though let's be real, who actually uses their traveler? (If you do use your traveler, then I salute you). With 73 of them, covering Mondstadt, and being collectible in just under 5 minutes, Windwheel Asters will be important whether you are a new player, or a seasoned veteran of the game.

  • Starfall Lake
    • Go to the Anemo Statue at Starfall Lake.
    • Head to the North shore. You’ll find 2 Asters here.
  • Windrise
    • Go to the Anemo Statue at Windrise.
    • Go directly south towards the river, you’ll find 4 Asters here.
    • Go west, you’ll find several clusters, and go east you’ll find a cluster.
    • Go southeast from there onwards to the river, you’ll find several other clusters.
    • Crossing the river, you’ll find another two clusters. This should give a total of 16 Asters, for a total of 20 Asters in Windrise.
  • Windwail Highland
    • Go to the Anemo Statue at Windwail Highland.
    • You’ll find immediately around you several clusters, totaling 9 Windwheel Asters.
  • Stormterror's Lair has two major routes, northern one and a southern one.
    • Northern Route
      • Go to Stormterror's Lair northern waypoint.
      • Then head eastward along the canyon walls.
      • Head first towards the lake, and then towards the waypoint southeast of the first waypoint.
      • Alternatively, following the floor level of the cliffside, head southwest. These two treks combined should yield 28 Asters.
    • Southern Route
      • The Westernmost waypoint at Stormterror’s Lair, is the start of the second route. You’ll find one cluster immediately by the waypoint.
      • After that, you head Northeastward towards the Anemo statue until you come across a second cluster.
      • Head southwards from there until you hit the walls of the canyon.
      • Then head eastward straight across. By the time you crossed it, you should have gained 14 Asters.
  • Flora’s Shop
    • You could also buy them from Flora’s Shop within Mondstadt, where you can buy up to 5 Windwheel Asters. This does reset after 2 days though.

8: Jueyun Chili Routes

Image
image
Chef Mao in Liyue, where you can buy Jueyun Chilis

Xinagling is one of the best Sub DPS characters in the game, as well as a good chef. Yaoyao is considered a solid Support character, and an Adepti apprentice. One similarity they share (aside from being from Liyeu, being 4 star characters that punch above their weight class, being polearm users and being female), is that they use the ascension material of Jueyun Chilis, Genshin’s version of habaneros (I think, not sure if Natlan added habaneros). With 50 of them within Liyue, and being gathered in just under 12 minutes, they provide a spicy aftertaste, enabling your characters to give even spicier aftertastes in enemies' throats (largely by burning them with unholy amounts of flames directly or indirectly).

  • Ridge Watch
    • Go to the Ridge Watch domain.
    • Then head west. You’ll find a cluster there.
    • Then you’ll head North towards the next cluster, with the next cluster nearby as well.
    • Finally, go North, from there, where you will find the last cluster. This should yield you 7 Chilis.
  • Qingce Village
    • The various pathways surrounding Qingce Village should also be an area to check out, giving players 10 chilis.
    • Most of them are close to the village, but with one major exception. The waypoint to the west of Qingce Village has a cluster nearby.
    • Go southeastward from there, you will find the last cluster.
  • Jueyun Karst
    • Jueyun Karst has 5 chilis, spread out over a region within the mountain areas.
  • Huaguang Stone Forest
    • Huaguang Stone Forest has another 5 chilis as well.
    • Go to the northern waypoint here.
    • Follow a sort of zig-zag pattern from chili to chili southwards.
  • Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern
    • Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern is the starting point.
    • Head southeast.
    • After you come across the second cluster, head straight south to find the third cluster.
    • From there, head southwest to find the last two clusters. This should yield 5 chilis.

    • Go to the waypoint at Huaguang Pass.
    • Then head southeast following the river to find a singular chili.
  • Mt. Aocang
    • Go to the waypoint on Mt. Aocang.
    • Cross over to the opposing mountainside east of the waypoint.
    • Continuing to go east will find you some more points. This should yield 4 chilis.

    • Go to Minlin.
    • Then head south to the body of water with ruins. You’ll find 2 chilis on the opposite side of the body of water.
  • Mt. Hulao
    • Go to Mt. Hulao.
    • Then head north towards Huaguang Stone Forest. This gives a single chili.
  • Chenyu Vale
    • Go to the waypoint of Teatree Slope in Chenyu Vale.
    • Head south. You’ll find 2 chilis.
    • The waypoint east of Teatree Slope is another route to go.
    • Go there, and then head southwest from there, where you’ll find another 2 chilis.
  • Chef Mao
    • Finally, you can buy 5 chilis every in-game day from Chef Mao at Wanmin restaurant in Liyue harbor.

9: Sango Pearl Routes

Image
image
Yamashiro Kenta in Inazuma, where you can buy Sango Pearls

Between Kokomi being among the most powerful of support characters, and Gorou being another strong support character (especially for Geo focused teams), it appears that Watatsumi Island runs on Sango pearls. With 54 pearls, and taking as little as 4 minutes, with the added bonus of being perhaps the most concentrated of all the resources we’ve looked at, Sango pearls are well worth the effort to farm.

  • Suigetsu Pool
    • Go to the domain at Suigetsu Pool.
    • Head to the north end of the island. This will yield 5 Pearls.
  • Sangonomiya Shrine
    • Go to Sangonomiya Shrine.
    • Head south.
    • Once you hit the wall there, head eastward. This should yield 7 Pearls.
  • Northern Watatsumi
    • Go to the northern waypoint of Watatsumi Island.
    • Head south towards the shrine.
    • Head eastward when you get to the main island. This should yield 15 Pearls.
  • Bourou Village
    • Go to the waypoint at Bourou Village.
    • Head Northwards. This will split into 2 paths.
      • Route 1 is to go Northwestward, where you’ll find 4 clusters, giving 9 Pearls.
      • Route 2 is to go straight North, then outwards towards the coast. 8 Pearls can be found here.
  • Enkanomiya has two major groups.
    • At the entrance of Enkanomiya, turn around, and you’ll find 5 Pearls.
    • At the next waypoint of Enkanomiya, go east, towards the edge of the map, where you’ll find another 5 Pearls.
  • Yamashiro Kenta
    • You can buy 5 Sango Pearls from Yamashiro Kenta, a shopkeeper in Ritou.
  • Babak’s shop
    • Finally, you can buy 5 Sango Pearls from Babak in Port Ormos in Sumeru.

10: Silk Flower Routes

Image

Ms. Bai, the miller in Qingce Village, where you can buy Silk Flowers

Hu Tao and Xingqui are both major powerhouses, and have maintained a solid standing within the Genshin communities meta. It is perhaps with great irony, that the ascension material they need is the Silk flower, which of all the farming material we have looked at, is the comparative rarest, at 31 on the map, and taking as little as 3 minutes to collect.

  • Wangshu Inn
    • Go to Wangshu Inn.
    • Head to the main road.
    • Follow it northward. You will get 14 Silk flowers this way.
  • Liyue harbor
    • Going to the waypoint on Mt. Tianheng.
    • Head into Liyue harbor, and you’ll find 14 silk flowers on the upper level around the Yujing Terrace.
  • Chenyu Vale
    • There are 3 Silk flowers in Chenyu vale, 2 at Yaodie valley, and one further westward underground.
  • Ms. Bai
    • You can purchase 5 Silk Flowers from Ms. Bai the Miller, who you will find by the water wheel in Qingce Village. This resets after 3 days.
  • Verr Goldet
    • Finally, you can also purchase 5 flowers from Verr Goldet at the Wangshu Inn. This also resets after 3 days.
