Ying is one of the best operators in the front line and for taking map control. That's because she can lead the push with her special gadget, the Candela Device, in which she has four of. One could think of the Candela Device as a flash bang on steroids because its effects reach far and are very hard to avoid.
She also has very powerful weapons in her arsenal that work really well in conjunction with her Candela Device. In this article, we’re going to take a look at how the big changes on how weapon attachments work in Siege’s Year 9 Season 1 will affect the players’ choices when it comes to having the best loadout setup when playing this great map control operator.
5. T-95 LSW with Magnified B, Muzzle Brake, Vertical Grip, and Laser + Q-929 with Suppressor and Laser + Hard Breach Charge
A lot of Siege players, especially those who don’t really check out guides or research the game won’t even know that the muzzle brake attachment affects fully automatic weapons like the T-95 LSW too. That’s because its in-game description makes it look like it only benefits single-shot weapons, however, what it really does is lower weapons’ first shot recoil which is generally the strongest. That’s why setups on a fully automatic weapon with a muzzle brake on its barrel are also viable, just like this loadout setup.
This loadout setup excels in short bursts which Ying will usually perform in the front lines especially when she’s dealing with enemies blinded by her Candela Device. With its first shot recoil greatly lowered, short bursts from the T-95 LSW will have very good recoil, and that translates to accuracy. The laser on the other hand will provide Ying with a 10% aim-down-sight boost on her T-95 LSW, making this loadout setup an offense heavy one since it’ll excel in flick shots.
Excels in:
- Having really good recoil when it comes to short sprays on Ying’s T-95 LSW because of the muzzle brake on its barrel which specializes in greatly lowering the first shot recoil of weapons
- Maintaining a good amount of overall vertical recoil control on Ying’s T-95 LSW because of the presence of the vertical grip attachment which specializes in weakening the vertical kick of weapons
- Ying having a 10% aim-down-sight speed boost on her T-95 LSW because of the laser attachment which now provides ADS speed boost since Year 9 Season 1 of the game
- Having a great utility in the suppressed Q-929 handgun for disabling defender gadgets such as CCTV cameras, Kapkan EDDs, Proximity Alarms, and others, with much less chance of giving away your position
- Having the capability to destroy two reinforced hatches or open a breach on reinforced walls big enough for an operator to pass through due to the two hard breach charges as Ying’s generic gadget
Build Details:
- Primary weapon - T-95 LSW with Magnified B, Muzzle Brake, Vertical Grip, and Laser
- Secondary weapon - Q-929 with Suppressor and Laser
- Generic gadget - Hard Breach Charge

4. T-95 LSW with Magnified B, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip + Q-929 with Suppressor and Laser + Hard Breach Charge
The change on the angled grip attachment is one of the biggest changes in Year 9 Season 1 of Siege. Before, it provided an aim-down-sight speed boost to players, but now what it does is provide a +20% reload speed bonus which is honestly quite a lot. Now, Ying’s T-95 LSW is technically a light machine gun but it feels more like an assault rifle since its recoil is very manageable, and most importantly, its reload animation doesn’t take forever to finish, and that is due to its detachable magazine.
However, despite the T-95 LSW’s fast reload speed, it would still benefit a lot from a +20% reload speed boost from the angled grip since it will considerably shorten the amount of time Ying will have to use in reloading the weapon. With the angled grip on her T-95 LSW, she can get back into action quickly to dish out the bullets within the weapon’s huge magazine. The +20% reload speed bonus will also be a great perk in case Ying has to reload her T-95 LSW in the middle of engaging enemies that are blinded by her Candela Device.
Excels in:
- The flash hider on Ying’s T-95 LSW’s barrel will help maintain a good overall vertical recoil control on the weapon as that’s the attachment’s specialty on top of hiding weapons’ muzzle flash
- The angled grip on Ying’s T-95 LSW will provide her with a +20% reload speed boost which will really help when Ying is engaging multiple enemies at the same time and her T-95 LSW needs to reload
- The magnified B scope with its 2.5x zoom level will really help Ying see her targets well which will translate to great accuracy since the better you can see your targets, the easier it will be to hit them
- The suppressed Q-929 handgun as Ying’s secondary weapon will allow her to shoot enemy gadgets with much less chance of giving away her position and this is really helpful for a stealthy approach in the mission building
- The two hard breach charges in Ying’s arsenal will allow her to destroy two reinforced hatches or open a breach on a reinforced wall for the attacking team’s entry
Build Details:
- Primary weapon - T-95 LSW with Magnified B, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip
- Secondary weapon - Q-929 with Suppressor and Laser
- Generic gadget - Hard Breach Charge

3. SIX12 with Iron Sight and Laser + Q-929 with Suppressor and Laser + Smoke Grenade
This loadout setup is for players who excel with using shotguns as their primary weapon. Obviously, a lot of players shy away from choosing non-slug shotguns as their primary weapon because of their very limited range and single shot firing mode. However, in the hands of those who are experienced in using non-slug shotguns, this loadout setup will be a beast when equipped by Ying. That’s because it can down an opponent with just one shot at its optimal range and that works in conjunction with Ying’s special gadget and role.
Just think about it, when Ying sends her Candela Devices in a room with enemies, there’s a high chance of them being blinded. The thing is, the duration of that blind effect doesn’t last forever so Ying has to take them out as fast as she can. With the SIX12 shotgun, as long as she can get close to them near enough, she can take them out one by one with just a shot or two. The SIX12 shotgun will also be great for soft breaching as its destructive shots can be used to destroy unreinforced hatches and open up entry holes on unreinforced walls.
Excels in:
- Having the close quarters combat superiority with Ying’s SIX12 non-slug shotgun which shoots multiple pellets per shot and each of them is highly damaging and can take out an enemy with just one shot
- The iron sight will be the perfect sight for Ying’s SIX12 shotgun because its frame doesn’t take up a lot of screen space and it will add a 10% aim-down-sight speed boost on the weapon
- The laser attachment on Ying’s SIX12 shotgun will add another 10% aim-down-sight speed boost on the weapon on top of the previous 10% from the iron sight
- The suppressed Q-929 handgun as Ying’s secondary weapon will be a great utility for silently disabling enemy gadgets, and it will also be great for finishing off enemies since it has high damage and low recoil
- The two smoke grenades in Ying’s arsenal will be great utilities for her on the front lines as they’ll provide cover for the attacking team’s push and will further obstruct the enemies’ vision
Build Details:
- Primary weapon - SIX12 with Iron Sight and Laser
- Secondary weapon - Q-929 with Suppressor and Laser
- Generic gadget - Smoke Grenade
2. T-95 LSW with Magnified B, Flash Hider, and Horizontal Grip + Q-929 with Suppressor and Laser + Smoke Grenade
Ying specializes in the front lines and taking map control, and when it comes to that role, speed is essential. Speed is what the newest attachment in the game, the horizontal grip, will bring, and having it on Ying’s T-95 LSW will allow her to cover more ground faster. The horizontal grip provides +5% movement speed boost when the operator is holding the weapon that it’s attached to. To a lot of players, that’s not a lot and is practically useless, but I heavily disagree with that, especially when it comes to operators like Ying.
That’s because to operators with the same role as Ying, any movement speed boost is a big plus, since their role involves a lot of moving. Plus, just think about it, even with their normal speeds, operators are already quite hard to hit when they’re moving. Add a 5% to speed to their movement and they’ll even be harder to hit. That’s why this loadout setup ranks so high in this list. Not only will it be great for Ying in performing her role, it will also increase her survivability per round.
Excels in:
- The flash hider will provide a good amount of vertical recoil control on Ying’s T-95 LSW since it specializes in lowering the overall vertical recoil of weapons as well as hiding their muzzle flash
- The horizontal grip will provide a +5% movement speed bonus to Ying when she’s holding her T-95 LSW and that will help her perform her role better as well as increase her survivability
- The magnified B will greatly increase Ying’s accuracy due to the 2.5x zoom that it will provide her which will allow her to see her targets well, as well as its arrow tip reticle which is great for pinpoint shooting
- The suppressor on Ying’s Q-929 handgun will greatly silence its shots, making it a great utility for disabling cameras and other enemy gadgets which is great for a stealthy approach to the round
- The two smoke grenades in Ying’s arsenal will provide her with more utilities for obstructing the enemies’ vision and they work really well for covering the attacking team’s push
Build Details:
- Primary weapon - T-95 LSW with Magnified B, Flash Hider, and Horizontal Grip
- Secondary weapon - Q-929 with Suppressor and Laser
- Generic gadget - Smoke Grenade

1. T-95 LSW with Magnified B, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + Q-929 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Smoke Grenade
As mentioned before, Ying’s Candela device is like a flash bang on steroids. Notice that I used the term flash bang instead of stun grenade, and that is because stun grenades don’t just blind enemies, they also inflict an ear ringing effect on them called tinnitus. That’s the drawback to Ying’s Candela Device. They might be great for blinding enemies, but they might still be able to guess Ying’s position and counter using audio cues. This loadout setup lessens the chance of that and that’s why it’s on the number one spot.
With the suppressor at the barrel of Ying’s T-95 LSW, its shots will be a lot more silent and won’t provide enemies with a directional threat indicator. That means that when Ying is using this loadout setup to frag enemies that are blinded by her Candela Device, they will find it really hard to counter using audio cues. And since suppressors don’t provide additional recoil control, it’s important to partner it up with a vertical grip. That way, Ying will have good control over her T-95 LSW while she’s engaging her enemies.
Excels in:
- The suppressor removing the T-95 LSW’s shots’ directional threat indicator and muzzle flash, making it harder for enemies to immediately know where Ying is shooting from.
- The suppressor on Ying’s T-95 LSW will also greatly silence its gunshots, making it harder for enemies to know her current position, and this works great with her Candela Device.
- The magnified B scope will provide a 2.5x zoom to Ying when she’s aiming-down-sight on her T-95 LSW and that’s great for accuracy since she’ll be able to see her targets really well
- The muzzle brake on Ying’s Q929 handgun will greatly lower its recoil, making it very accurate, and the laser will provide a +10% aim-down-sight boost on it
- The two smoke grenades in Ying’s arsenal will be great for pushing since they can provide a lot of cover for the attacking team’s push as well as their defuser plant attempt

- Primary weapon - T-95 LSW with Magnified B, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
