What are the best Nat 5 in all of Summoners War?

It’s undisputed that Nat 5s are the best of the best and that even excellent Nat 3s and 4s ultimately can’t measure up. Some Nat 5s are even better than the best, and they excel in multiple areas including dungeons, Trial of Ascension, and PvP. These monsters aren’t just in meta for areas like RTA but are recognized as useful in a variety of situations.

10. Vanessa (Fire Valkyrja)

Vanessa is a powerful reviver and a much-wanted monster for anyone who is serious about PvP.

Vanessa is a Support type monster that is mostly used in PvP arenas but that can provide safety in PvE content as well. She has a unique passive that revives an ally immediately upon their death and boosts their Attack.

She also has two single target attacks. If her first attack successfully defeats an enemy, her second skill is activated. Her second skill does damage based on enemy Max HP, and it decreases Defense for two turns.

  • Passive revives instantly rather than her having to take a turn
  • 33% speed lead that can give you an advantage in Arena
  • Can add safety to ToA and dungeons by reviving squishier monsters
  • Gives an Attack buff to the revived monster, giving attackers an added edge

Velajuel has the cleanse plus immunity buff that every team wants, giving him utility almost anywhere. This move also boosts the ATB by 30%. Velajuel is a Defense type monster with two attacks in addition to his cleanse combo.

His first skill has a 75% chance to strip a beneficial effect, giving him utility even if he doesn’t have much damage. His second skill gives Continuous Damage for 3 turns, and both attacks scale off of his Defense.

  • Third skill is completely OP and can give your team a definite advantage in PvP
  • Useful in DB10 and Fire elemental dungeon for his strip and cleanse
  • Once skilled up, immunity has a 4 turn cooldown, meaning he can have it up almost constantly
  • Pair with Feng Yan lead in GW for a serious bruiser team

Charlotte is an all-around effective monster that is used mostly in PvE but can be brought into PvP. She’s an Attack-type monster with a strong crowd control element, and she works excellent on Despair runes for added CC.

Her first attack can put enemies asleep, which gives her an extra turn. Her second skill, an AOE, stuns and decreases attack power of all enemies, and her third skill attacks all enemies three times and decreases the Attack Bar by 30% each time.

  • Excels in Trial of Ascension, farming Aiden Forest Hell, and Giant’s Keep B10
  • ATB reduction can deny turns to enemy teams 
  • Has very high damage output as well as CC
  • Wind Crit Rate leader skill is good for all-wind teams, especially in GB10

Shi Hou was once underrated as a single target Water nuker, but since his most recent buff he has become a staple as a farmer and in RTA. He is an Attack type monster with three attacking skills, each with its own benefits.

His first skill is a single target attack with a 35% chance to stun, while his second is an AOE that decreases enemy ATB by 30% and absorbs the ATB if the enemies are under harmful effects. His third attacks a single enemy four times and removes a beneficial effect on critical hits, as well as granting him immunity for two turns and invincibility for one turn. 

  • Works well in Fire Rift Beast due to AOE; third does great damage in Groggy State
  • Very fast Faimon Hell farmer that has little issue one shotting waves
  • Both strip and stun can come in clutch when they proc
  • Self-buff can keep him alive for extra turns to dish out more damage

Verad is a Defense type monster that’s best known for his ridiculous crowd control, boasting two AOEs that can freeze and reduce ATB. He’s an amazing monster for ToA and other areas where ATB control and CC are key.

Verad has a single target attack and two AOE attacks. His second skill has a 60% chance to freeze and his third skill sets the Attack Bar to zero in addition to freezing. All of his skills scale off of the Defense stat, so when he’s built right, he can do significant damage.

  • Often regarded as the best monster for ToA Normal and Hard
  • Both tanky and hard hitting, making him hard to beat
  • Reliable and fast Faimon Volcano Hell farmer
  • Pair with a stripper in PvP to CC the entire enemy team with both freeze and ATB reset

5. Ganymede (Wind Fairy King)

A fast Ganymede is a one way ticket to controlling the field before the enemy has a chance to move.

Ganymede is a Support type monster who is known just as well as Verad for being excellent at crowd control. His skill set is built around decreasing his allies’ cooldowns and increasing his enemies’ cooldowns.

Ganymede’s first skill has a 30% chance to land a Glancing debuff for two turns. His second completely resets the cooldowns of an ally other than himself, and his third maxes an enemy’s cooldown times and resets all enemy Attack Bars.

  • Third skill can’t be resisted or land as a Glancing Hit; great for neutralizing passives
  • Second skill resists cooldown increases, so he’ll have it every 3 turns without fail
  • Useful in both PvE and PvP when it comes to crowd control
  • Excellent base stats including high base Speed lower rune requirements

4. Perna (Fire Phoenix) 

Perna can carry almost any team to victory with her power and sustainability.

Perna is an HP type monster with a unique passive that not only revives her at the moment of death but also heals her team by 10% every turn. This combination of passive effects make Perna unique even among Nat 5 monsters and makes her a key addition to any team, especially in RTA.

Perna has two attacks in addition to her passive, both with high damage multipliers. Her first skill has an 18% chance to stun, while her second skill scales off of the enemy’s current HP percentage (not Max HP). Perna can do huge single-target damage and is excellent for any team where damage is key.

  • Excellent nuker for Dragon’s Lair B10 with high 44% ATK leader skill in dungeons
  • Also great for elemental dungeons due to ATK leader skill and high damage
  • Very in-meta for PvP due to passive and huge damage output
  • Can add safety to most teams with her self-revive and team heal

3. Giana (Dark Oracle) 

Giana is a bomber on par with Seara, with a skill set that may be even better.

Giana has an excellent skill set that allows her to turn around some of the most difficult situations in the game. She is an Attack type monster with a single target attack, a bomb, and an AOE strip with a potential stun.

Giana’s first attack hits three times and will increase her attack bar by 15% per hit if she lands a critical hit. Her second sets up a two turn bomb as well as Continuous Damage and gives her another turn instantly. Her third is an AOE strip that will stun any monster it strips an effect from, making it perfect for removing immunity and stunning entire teams or waves.

  • Excellent counter to Will runes as her third will first strip and then stun
  • Great CC in ToA and HoH waves with monsters that buff their teams
  • Bomb is super powerful and she gets an extra turn after setting
  • Awakening boosts her Accuracy, making her easier to rune

2. Feng Yan (Wind Panda Warrior) 

Feng Yan is one of the most coveted monsters in Summoners War and one of the best.

Feng Yan is a Defense type monster with one attack, a self cleanse plus buff, and a passive. He’s known for his ability to solo unprepared teams in PvP as well as much of PvE content. Feng Yan will outlast an entire team and then bring in the victory due to his power.

Feng Yan’s first skill attacks three times and has a 30% chance to decrease Defense on each attack. His second skill removes all harmful effects on him as well as gives him HP recovery and counterattack, and grants his allies HP recovery. His passive increases his Attack Bar by 20% every time he is attacked, and all his attacks do damage proportionate to his Defense.

  • Passive gives him nonstop turns if targeted, which lets him cycle his counter and healing
  • Deals significant damage in addition to powerful sustain
  • Can solo HoH, Scenario, elemental dungeons, and pretty much anything else if necessary
  • One of the best Guild Content monsters with his GW Defense leader skill

1. Isis (Light Desert Queen) 

No other monster has the skills and utility that Isis brings to the table on any team.

Isis is one of the most unique monsters in the game due to her ability to apply an AOE Oblivion and Silence effect. Only two other monsters in the game can apply Oblivion, and only she has an Oblivion AOE. She also has two single target attacks, both with their own debuffs. 

Her first skill has a 50% chance to reduce the enemy’s attack, and her second skill has a 75% chance to strip all beneficial effects and put the enemy to sleep. Her third skill is her AOE, which applies both Oblivion and Silenced to all enemies. 

  • Excellent for key stages of ToA like Artamiel and Veromos bosses
  • Neutralizes PvP threats with passives like Feng Yan, Vanessa, and Verdehile
  • Excels at making almost any monster totally useless with her various debuffs
  • Oblivion skill doesn’t do damage, so it doesn’t activate crit or hit related skills
