On 21 October 2021, Rockstar Games announced that The Slashers event is returning to GTA online in celebration of Halloween.

The event signals the arrival of low-flying UFOs over Los Santos, with copycat killers running amok and Phantom cars with no drivers following people around. What’s more, is that the city is crawling with Slashers looking for blood.

With The Slashers event comes three iconic limited-time modes that are returning to GTA Online, namely Slasher, Condemned, and Come Out to Play. All LTM’s will pay out double GTA$ and RP.

Along with the Halloween limited-time modes, there is also a new Arcade Cabinet called Camhedz which is a 2-player shoot-em-up game. Then there is also the Alien Survivals, where players must play as an alien on earth, fighting for survival against NOOSE teams, FiB agents, and Marines. As a reward for surviving players will earn 2X GTA$ and RP.

By playing GTA online during the Halloween event, players can earn an in-game tee celebrating the 20th anniversary of GTA 3’s release with a design of the most popular melee weapon in GTA 3, the baseball bat. 

A variety of other in-game rewards are also available this week, including the Twilight Knife t-shirt, which players can earn by successfully defending themselves against a Slasher attack in the streets of Los Santos. The t-shirt will be rewarded to the player within 72 hours of their first login after 2 November 2021.

A free Republican Space Ranger skin can be obtained for the Pfister Comet S2 by playing GTA Online this week before 27 October 2021.
