How many of these battle pets do you have?
Some are easy to catch and others are rare to find but they are all worth being a part of the collection!
10. Darkmoon Rabbit
It’s no surprise this bloodthirsty fiend fights undead for a living.
Any rabbit can prove vital for taking down seemingly undefeatable undead pets. Darkmoon Rabbit is the best because it’s the only epic available.
9. Emperor Crab
He may be smaller, but he won’t lose!
The Emperor Crab is a rare aquatic pet. Extremely useful against elemental pets, this crab has the option of a self heal or group heal ability. He can be found in Dread Wastes, Pandaria.
8. Nordrassil Wisp

He only looks spooky, he’s really here to help.
Nordrassil Wisp can be found and caught in Mount Hyjal. Knowing mostly magic moves, it’s the perfect counter for flying.
7. Clouded Hedgehog
Clouded Hedgehog battle pet.
While you’re searching for an Emperor Crab in Dread Wastes, you will pass by many Clouded Hedgehogs. These adorable beasts have a versatile moveset, they are powerful against: critter, undead, magic and dragonkin.
6. Sunborne Val’kyr
She sees only justice.
Only players revered with the Valajar may purchase Sunborne Val’kyr from Valdemar Stormseeker in Stormheim. Sunborne Val’kyr are designed to demolish dragonkin, but they can go head to head with anything but beasts.
5. Nightshade Sproutling
He’s a sproutling of a different color.
This rare Draenor elemental is dropped by Disturbed Podlings, which occasionally spawn while picking herbs in garrisons or throughout Draenor. Great for both pvp or tamer battles, anyone who has Nightshade Sproutling wouldn’t want to live without him.
4. Emerald Proto-Whelp
Much more threatening than he looks!
The Emerald Proto-Whelp is my second go to pet. He’s one of the most powerful dragonkin in game. Any time I’m stuck on a tamer, pulling this guy out generally does the trick.
He spawns rarely in Sholozar Basin. There’s a better chance for players who kill eggs and other creatures in the zone.
3. Crawling Claw
His hobbies include high-fives.
Crawling Claw is an epic undead created through Tol’vir Archeology. Undead pets survive the longest in battle, do significant damage and can heal.
Crawling Claw is perfect for battle use, but since it’s so durable, it can be used to level up other pets or power through quests.
2. Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling
If you like steampunk, this little guy will not disappoint.
This is one of the best mechanical pets to use against magic. Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling can be crafted by Engineers, making it decently easy to obtain. Unfortunately this pet is generally uncommon, and would need a battle stone to upgrade it.
1. Anubisath Idol
He is ready for anything.
Emperor Vek’lor in Temple of Ahn’Qiraj has a 19% chance to drop Anubisath Idol. For those who have it, Anubisath Idol is the best pet in game to keep around. He is highly versatile, knowing humanoid, flying, mechanical, and magic moves.
This pet is great in tamer and pvp battles as it can go against anything thrown at it. It may be a lot of raiding, but once you have it, Anubisath Idol will be the only Humanoid you ever want to battle with again.
