Celeste is widely regarded not only as one of the best Indie releases of the past two decades of gaming, but also as one of the best platformers. The game is incredibly beautiful, majestic, and notoriously difficult. Celeste boasts a wonderful soundtrack that perfectly complements each level, as well as a touching story focused around mental health, and the main character Madeleine's battle with her inner demons. One of the top features that makes Celeste so compelling is its incredibly tight and smooth platforming mechanics, so today we are going to look at what the best keyboard setup is to experience this masterpiece of a game!

This setup doesn't differ too much from the original, but it moves the non-movement controls over to the left, utilizing the shift key. This can be helpful due to the larger size of the shift key.

These controls allow you to play Celeste one handed! This can be quite a difficult challenge, but an exciting adventure if you're up for it. This is also a great option for anyone who is handicapped, or anyone who is simply looking to eat or have your other hand occupied somehow!

The classic controls of Celeste are in my opinion, the most enjoyable and efficient to play the game with. The developers spent a lot of time playtesting and figuring out how to get the best precision controls!

While each setup comes with unique advantages and disadvantages, ultimately, it's best to experiment with various setups and find one that feels right for you! Happy Climbing!
