With 11 sniper rifles, and 4 marksman rifles you could consider snipers, it’s certainly tough to pick the best one. Using the best sniper rifles will make getting victories in Warzone a common occurrence. Read on to learn what makes a good sniper great and which they are.
The main things that we want to consider when picking the better sniper rifle are things like bullet velocity, one shot potential and handling/ads speed. The reason that these stats are the ones we are looking for is based mainly behind Urzikstan being a large map. Bullet velocity is good for those longer ranged shots and the sniper needs to be a 1 shot to the head. Handling comes last but the faster the better and is always a factor to think about with weapons.
If you’re playing warzone on the smaller maps that may change your personal choice to which sniper is better suited for you. For example, you may find more success with a faster sniper if you’re an aggressive player than you would with a slower more ranged one.
5. FJX Imperium (Intervention)Image
FJX Imperium stats
- ADS Speed - 580 ms
- Movement Speed - 3.9 m/s
- Effective Damage Range - 50.3 m
- Bullet Velocity - 860 m/s
The FJX Imperium, otherwise known as the Intervention from the 2009 MW2, is a classic and great sniper rifle. It has the iconic carrying handle and great sounding shots giving this gun a satisfying feel.
In Call of Duty Warzone the FJX Imperium is a good middle ground of long range and mobility. This is a good sniper if you're unsure of what playstyle you will want to use when trying to get some wins.
What makes this weapon great is that you don’t need to stick to one playstyle to be successful with it. The only mandatory attachment is the explosive rounds to make this weapon a one shot to the head. Otherwise, you can build it more for longer ranges or to be faster in mid ranges.
What The FJX Imperium Excels In
- Versatile weapon for longer ranges or quick mid ranged action
- Great handling and mobility for a sniper that is also good for long ranges
- Is able to one shot enemies to the head with the explosive rounds attachment
How To Get The FJX Imperium: You can unlock this sniper rifle by getting 30 one shot kills with a sniper rifle after reaching level 55, or by successfully extracting with the weapon in DMZ or Zombies.
4. Signal 50Image
Signal 50 stats
- ADS Speed - 680 ms
- Movement Speed - 3.8 m/s
- Effective Damage Range - 48.5m
- Bullet Velocity - 660 m/s
The Signal 50 is the first sniper rifle unlocked in 2022s Modern Warfare 2 and is the only semi automatic to make this list. Typically semi auto snipers are weaker than bolt actions in damage range but this one is beefy and packs a punch. It can be a bit slow to ADS and move around but being able to take shots in quick succession makes up for this con.
This weapon is strongest in longer ranges due to the lack of mobility. Take distance and eliminate enemies from range and even multiple enemies at times. This isn’t a weapon for quickscoping enemies in mid ranges but for aiming teams down to take them out.
What makes the Signal 50 stand out is simply the fire rate. The speed in which this gun shoots is incredible allowing for quick finishes or multiple enemies being taken out. Like almost all the weapons on this list you will need explosive rounds to one shot enemies to the head but you are able to.
What The Signal 50 Excels In
- Taking multiple enemies out at range or finishing kills with the fast fire rate
- Aiming down enemies from longer ranges to take precise shots
- Being able to make up for missed shots because of the fast fire rate and lack of needing to unready the weapon
How To Get The Signal 50: You earn this sniper rifle after reaching level 44.
3. Victus XMRImage
Victus XMR stats
- ADS Speed - 625 ms
- Movement Speed - 3.8 m/s
- Effective Damage Range - 78 m
- Bullet Velocity - 860 m/s
The Victus XMR is a bolt action sniper rifle that feels like it has a lot of weight behind it. This being one of the bigger bolt action snipers gives it some crazy range and still has a decent ADS speed.
This weapon is great for warzone as it definitely has quite a bit of range compared to some of the others on this list. Range is one of the most important factors as Urizikstan in particular has many long angles that you can take advantage of. This sniper will let you do that while maintaining a good amount of mobility.
The best factor of the Victus is that the trade offs are just good. What I mean by that is that the decrease in mobility compared to the increase in damage range and bullet velocity is really worth it. The gun has great stats for range and bullet velocity and remains decently quick while others trade offs can be a bit more punishing.
What The Victus XMR Excels In
- Long range combat with great damage range and bullet velocity
- Great mid range potential with a fairly quick ADS speed
- Great all around sniper rifle, has more range but less mobility as the FJX Imperium
How To Get The Victus XMR: You can unlock this sniper rifle by getting 15 headshot kills with a sniper rifle after reaching level 55, or by successfully extracting with the weapon in DMZ or Zombies.
2. MCPR-300Image
MCPR-300 stats
- ADS Speed - 600 ms
- Movement Speed - 3.8 m/s
- Effective Damage Range - 56.9 m
- Bullet Velocity - 860 m/s
The MCPR-300 is another bolt action sniper rifle that does a great job at taking enemies out from range while maintaining fast speed. This sniper is just a better version of the Victus XMR with a slightly less satisfying gunshot sound.
This weapon does extremely well at medium to longer ranges because of the faster handling and good range. It is a one shot to the head with the explosive rounds, just like every sniper on the list so far. With some well placed shots you can quickly wipe an enemy squad.
What makes the MCPR stand out is the fast handling speed with range potential. The Victus is a sniper that is surprisingly quick for a sniper that feels that bulky while the MCPR is a fast sniper that hits hard. In addition to being great at those things, fast hands works wonders on the rechamber speed of this weapon making consecutive shots a breeze.
What Item The MCPR-300 Excels In
- Quick rechamber speed with fast hands perk
- Great damage range with fast mobility compared to others
- Fast reload speed, so if you miss some shots you won’t need to wait long to try again
How To Get The MCPR-300: This sniper rifle is unlocked automatically at the start of Modern Warfare 3.
1. KATT AMRImage
KATT AMR stats:
- ADS Speed - 760 ms
- Movement Speed - 4.3 m/s
- Effective Damage Range - 78.0 m
- Bullet Velocity - 660 m/s
The KATT AMR is a big and often slow bolt action sniper rifle added with Modern Warfare 3. This gun has a slow base aim down sight speed compared to other snipers in the game but has the best damage and bullet velocity to compensate.
This weapon makes the top of the list as it is the best sniper in warzone by far. With the right attachments this weapon isn’t necessarily fast but it’s not slow either. This weapon is a one shot to the head and makes for an exceptional weapon for quickly taking out enemies from a distance.
What makes this weapon so great is that, unlike other snipers, it doesn’t need explosive rounds to be a one shot to the head. This allows us to put another ammunition type like the .50 cal Spire Point rounds to boost bullet velocity and damage range. This can make landing your shots easier as there will be less bullet drop.
What The KATT AMR Excels In:
- Picking off enemies from long range with it’s one shot kill potential
- Great for getting a kill on an enemy to then push their team
- Play from distance or on rooftops to make the best use of this weapon
How To Get The KATT AMR: You unlock this sniper after reaching level 4
