Diluc is the owner of the Dawn Winery and he’s also a nobleman of high esteem in Mondstadt and a former Knight of Favonius so yes, everyone knows him. He was born into the affluent Ragnvindr Clan and protects Mondstadt in his own way.
Diluc is a Pyro Claymore character and his main (and I would say only) rol is as a DPS. Anyway, Genshin Impact is a really flexible game when we talk about builds. Even if Diluc has an optimum build, we’ll talk about another two viable builds! Let’s start!
3. Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and Crimson Witch of Flames
Guide:
Shimenawa’s Reminiscence is an Artifact Set available at 4-star and 5-star rarities which can be obtained from Momiji-Dyed Court in Inazuma.
The 2-Piece Bonus of Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and Gladiator’s Finale increase your attack by 18%, both of them. So, it means your attack will be increased by 36%.
Crimson Witch of Flames is an Artifact Set available at 4-star and 5-star rarities which can be obtained from Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula.
The 2-Piece Bonus of Crimson Flames of Witch increases Pyro DMG Bonus by 15%. Now, let’s talk about the benefits of these two sets in Diluc.
- Diluc applies Pyro DMG whenever you activate his Elemental Skill or his Elemental Burst, so Crimson Witch of Flames will increase this Pyro DMG.
- Even if you think the most important part of Diluc is his Pyro DMG he’s still a DPS, so basic attacks are really important too. Shimenawa’s Reminiscence will increase this DMG.
- The perfect weapon for this build is Serpent Spine, a claymore that can be obtained with the Battle Pass (Gnostic Hymn). This weapon’s 2nd Stat is CRIT Rate and every 4s Diluc will deal 6% more DMG and take 3% more DMG.
2. Gladiator’s Finale
Guide:
Gladiator’s Finale is an Artifact Set available at 4-star and 5-star rarities which can be obtained from Bosses at World Level 2 and above.
The 4-Piece Bonus of this set increases normal attack DMG by 35% if the character uses a Sword, Claymore, or Polearm. “If it just applies to normal attacks, why is it good for Diluc, a Pyro user?”. Hold on, Paimon, let me explain it to you.
- As we said before, Diluc is a DPS so his basic attacks are still really important. This build can bring a lot of DMG to his basic attacks.
- Even if the 2-Piece Bonus of Shimenawa’s Reminiscence is the same as Gladiator’s Finale, their 4-Piece Bonus is very different. Anyway, you can always try 2-Piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and 2-Piece Gladiator’s Finale.
- The best weapon for this build is the Blackliff Slasher, a 4-star weapon that can be obtained in Paimon’s Bargains. Its 2nd stat is CRIT DMG and after defeating an opponent, Diluc’s attack will increase by 12% for 30s (it has a max of 3 stacks).
1. Crimson Witch of Flames
Guide:
And we’re finally with our favourite build for Diluc! We repeated a lot that his basic attacks are really important too because they’re, but we can’t forget about his Pyro attacks. They’re part of Diluc’s personality, you know what I mean.
- Crimson Witch of Flames’s 4-Piece Bonus increases Overloaded and Burning DMG by 40%, increases Vaporize and Melt DMG by 15%, and when DiIuc uses his Elemental Skill it’ll increase the 2-Piece Bonus by 50%. It’s the perfect set, yes.
- This build is perfect with teams composed of characters like Xingqiu, Barbara, Kaeya, Ayaka, Diona, or Beidou. Characters that can apply their elements for a long time and can be mixed with Diluc’s Pyro DMG easily.
- The best weapon for this build is Wolf’s Gravestone, also known as Diluc's Weapon. This claymore can be obtained through wishes and its 2ns stat is ATK. This weapon increases ATK by 20% and attacks against enemies with less than 30% HP increase all party member’s ATK by 40%. It’s perfect with every Claymore character.
We just presented to you what we think are the best three builds for Diluc. But now, it’s your turn to think about them and choose what you think is the best one for him! Which one are you going to use with our favourite redhead?
