GTA Online: Best Facilities Guide

GTA Online Best Facility
Updated:
30 Mar 2020

Facilities finally take you as close to being a supervillain as you are likely to get in GTA Online.

They give you an underground bunker complete with a place to store vehicles, including the fabulously cool Avenger, which takes all the best things about a mobile command center and gives it wings. The main function of the facility isn’t its garage, or it’s spacious interior full of roleplay potential.

It’s not even the orbital cannon that allows you to exchange (quite a lot of) money for the ability to rain death down upon your enemies in the form of explosive shots.

No, the true purpose of the facility is the Doomsday Heist, which it unlocks as well as a host of Doomsday Heist vehicles that can only be stored inside a facility (Such as the aforementioned Avenger, and the long-awaited Jet Pack.)

Ultimately the only real difference between the 9 facilities for sale is location and price, but I’m going to do my best to outline the best parts of each of them so that you’ll leave knowing which of them is best suited to you.

Paleto Bay Facility

The cheapest option isn’t necessarily the worst.

Price: $1,250,000

Pros:

  • It’s the cheapest Facility.
  • Close to main roads.
  • Close to the Paleto Bay bunker, as well as a whole set of biker businesses.

Cons:

  • As far from Los Santos as you can get, making the trips required for missions and just playing in general are long and suck up a lot of your time.

Mount Gordo Facility

About as poorly situated as it’s possible to get.

Price: $1,465,000

Pros:

  • Location feels believable for a hidden military facility.
  • Not far from the Grapeseed bunker
  • Scenic location is quite pretty.

Cons:

  • With only one winding road to it, littered with rocks and a threatening plummet into the ocean, getting to this one on land can be a trail.
  • It is poorly located for almost all missions.

Lago Zancudo Facility

A secret lair right next to a military base, pretty cool, right?

Price: $1,670,000

Pros:

  • Right next to Fort Zancudo, which is really awesome if you have a hanger there.
  • Reasonably close to the highway.
  • Close to both the Lago Zancudo, and Chumash bunkers.
  • The best combination of reasonably priced and centrally located.

Cons:

  • It’s in a marsh, making driving to it a little trying.
  • Being right next to Fort Zancudo isn’t necessarily a good thing if you don’t have a hanger there, as you stand a risk of being shot down if you fly over it while leaving or heading to your facility by the air.

RON Alternates Wind Farm Facility

Just because you have an evil lair, doesn’t mean you can’t care about the environment...right?

Price:$1,855,000

Pros:

  • The wind turbines make it difficult for air-bound enemies to navigate around your facility’s airspace.
  • It’s somewhat central location is good for missions.
  • It’s next to the road, making driving in and out of it easy.
  • Close to the Farmhouse bunker.

Cons:

  • The wind turbines also make it difficult for you to navigate the airspace around your facility.

Zancudo River Facility

(Start Video at 4:26)

Price: $2,100,00

Pros:

  • Close to the road
  • Close to the Route 68 bunker, Grand Senora Oilfields bunker, and Grand Senora Desert Bunker, as well as several biker businesses.

Cons:

  • It’s a little tricky to get to, terrain wise.

Route 68 Facility

Getting your kicks on route...no wait that’s not right.

Price: $2,312,500

Pros:

  • Right next to Route 68 Bunker
  • Not overly far from the Grand Senora Oilfields, as well as the grand senora desert bunkers.
  • Not far from an Airfield.

Cons:

  • It’s not as close to the Sandy Shores airstrip as the Sandy Shores Facility.

Grand Senora Desert Facility

Just remember to stay hydrated whilst plotting your next crime spree out in the desert.

Price: $2,525,000

Pros:

  • It’s right in the middle of the action. It’s right next door to an airfield, and equally in the middle of 5 different bunkers.
  • It’s fairly close to the highway making getting back into Los Santos a reasonably unstressful affair.

Cons:

  • The number of bunkers nearby might cause you to have more trouble with other players getting in your way, than you would in a more secluded setting.

Sandy Shores Facility

Do you love Sand? Pickup trucks? Sandy Shores is the perfect choice for you!

Price: $2,740,000

Pros:

  • It’s close to the highway.
  • Only a short drive to the airfield.

Cons:

  • Not as conveniently placed as some many cheaper facilities
  • Very expensive.

Land Act Reservoir Facility:

So close to Los Santos you can smell the pollution.

Price: $2,950,000

Pros:

  • It’s the closest you can get to Los Santos with a facility.
  • Mountains and water surround you, aesthetically it’s pretty awesome.

Cons:

  • Despite being close to Los Santos, the location makes it a difficult trip there without flying, forcing you onto dirt paths rather than proper roads.
  • It’s close to the city, but not close to anything else making it realistically fairly isolated.
  • It’s the most expensive of the lot, and boy is it expensive.
