Do you have issues controlling recoil, and you’re constantly missing your shots because of it? Even though your gameplay is improving, your recoil control isn’t. Well, that’s because this game has unforgivable recoil, and if you’re shooting on full automatic, it won’t go well for you. To make your life easier there are attachments you can use, or you can fire in short bursts.
Controlling your recoil is very important, as that will dictate how well you perform in the game. If you have good recoil, control you’ll be getting a lot of kills, but if you’re constantly shooting at the sky or anywhere else, it won’t go well for you at all. Today I’ll list the best 5 ways that you can reduce your recoil. So with that, let’s get into the article!
5. Bipod
One sure way to remove the recoil altogether is with a bipod. Some guns come with a stock bipod, and you don’t have to use your supply points to place it on the weapon, while with others you’ll have to attach it yourself, which uses supply points. This bipod is amazing for machine guns and sniper rifles, as you won’t be moving a lot and you’ll have no recoil whatsoever.
The downside to this is that every time you move from one spot to another, you’ll have to deploy your bipod again and fold it. Which can get a bit tedious and annoying and can hinder your performance while playing. The best thing about this attachment is that you can place it anywhere you can rest your gun.
How It Works:
- You either pick a weapon that comes with the bipod or you can attach it yourself through the loadout menu.
- Once you’re in the game, find a window, cover, or lay down to deploy your bipod.
- You can deploy and fold your bipod with the G key.
4. Recoil Grip
Now, because a bipod isn’t that practical on assault rifles, we have something else called the recoil grip. Specifically, this attachment makes it easy to control your vertical recoil.
Yes, the weapons in this game have two different recoils. When it comes to this attachment, it does cost a few points to use, but it can greatly affect your gameplay if you’re having issues with your recoil. Unlike the bipod, you don’t have to deploy this one on anything.
How It Works:
- You find an assault rifle that you want to use.
- In the loadout menu, apply the recoil grip to your gun.
- You have successfully reduced the vertical recoil of your gun.
3. Recoil Grip Bipod
Now, some weapons will give you the choice of using an attachment called the recoil grip bipod. This attachment is two-in-one. It’s a recoil grip with a bipod. You can use it to rest your weapon on a window or ledge, as you would with a bipod.
Or you could use it as a normal recoil grip without resting your weapon. You can also fold the bipod if you want to. As I just mentioned, it's the best of two worlds. The only downside to this bipod is that it costs 4 supply points to use.
How It Works:
- You choose a gun that has the attachment recoil grip bipod.
- You pick the attachment from your loadout menu.
- After you’ve chosen the attachment, you can use it as a normal recoil grip.
- And you can use it as a bipod to rest your weapon on anything.
2. Compensator
One sure way to reduce horizontal recoil from your weapon is by adding a compensator to the end of your barrel. Horizontal recoil moves your weapon from left to right in a random direction, making it impossible to control and predict where it’s going to go.
Thankfully, you can counter that by adding that compensator to your weapon. It’s a small attachment that you won’t even notice it’s on your weapon, but it helps you out so much in the long run.
How It Works:
- You choose a weapon that you want to play with.
- In the loadout menu, add the barrel attachment called “compensator”.
- You have successfully reduced your horizontal recoil.
1. Firing Modes
If you used all of your supply points on utility or equipment and you have almost none for your recoil, then just use a different firing mode. You don’t have to fire in fully automatic mode all the time; you can fire in short bursts or single-fire mode.
Almost every weapon in the game has a single-fire mode, while some may have a three or two-round burst. Using those, you can easily remove the recoil from a weapon, as the gun won’t have as much of a kick as it would in fully automatic mode.
How It Works:
- Almost every weapon in the game has a single-fire mode or two or three-round burst.
- By firing in short bursts or single shots, the weapon has no recoil whatsoever.
- It only takes one to three bullets to kill someone in the game.
