This slippery fish isn’t quite what you’d expect when it comes to assassins, but don’t be caught out the water. Fizz brings the brine of Bilgewater to the fights, and can do crazy damage to enemy champions within seconds. He’s also incredibly mobile, giving him ins and outs that will make enemies’ heads spin if they aren’t careful.
Fizz gets bonus damage on attacks from his passive and from casting his skill 2, which helps him finish off kills, but his skill 1 and ultimate can both take a large chunk off of an enemy’s health bar. Combine that with his skill 3, which allows him to avoid attacks and escape, and Fizz has a strong in and out playstyle. Build items that give damage quickly and you have a real deadly fish on your hands.
Why Fizz is a great assassin:
- High mobility
- Early damage
- Straightforward playstyle
9. Yasuo
Yasuo as he appears in League of Legends: Wild Rift
Yasuo is just as much fun for the masters of this champion as he is infuriating for his opponents. Take your traditional samurai, give him wind powers, and you’ve got one terrifying assassin at your fingertips. Yasuo doesn’t need a lot to become powerful, and his skills can also be useful for his team as well.
Yasuo’s main playstyle comes from using his skill 1 to poke and throw tornadoes and skill 3 to dash around the map with enemy units as the target. He gets knock ups from his tornadoes, which allow him to use his ultimate to throw opponents into the air and do massive damage to them. In addition, his skill 2 puts out a wind wall that blocks attacks and projectiles.
Why Yasuo is a great assassin:
- Quickly becomes powerful
- High mobility
- Team synergy

As if a samurai weren’t enough, now we have a ninja. Zed works in shadows, both figuratively and literally, using a shadow clone of himself to do damage from a distance and choose the right time to go in for the kill. Many players fear to face Zed in lane, and in the right hands, it’s easy to see why.
Zed uses his skill 3 to make a shadow that copies his skill 1 and skill 2 when he casts them. He can also switch places with his shadow, giving him a dodge when opponents try to catch him off guard. His ultimate also works as a dodge by making him untargetable, as well as marking an opponent to do massive damage, and with his passive that increases damage to low health enemies, he’s truly scary to run into.
Why Zed is a great assassin:
- High damage to low health targets
- Strong dodge from shadows
- Difficult to catch

The cat lovers of Wild Rift now have their own kitty to play in game, but Rengar doesn’t chase mice. This assassin jungler literally pounces on his prey, taking them down with a few slashes of his massive claws and sword. Rengar was only just recently released, but he’s already making massive waves on the Rift.
Rengar gets stacks of ferocity from his passive when attacking, and at 4 stacks his next ability is empowered. Combine this with his second passive to jump to a target from a bush when attacking, and his third passive to get permanent damage for each unique takedown, and he snowballs very quickly off of easy kills. His kill 3, which slows or roots when empowered; his ultimate, which makes him invisible for a short period of time; and his skill 2, which heals him, are all additionally powerful tools to help him catch his prey and take them down.
Why Rengar is a great assassin:
- Snowball from the jungle
- Jump mechanic for easy catch
- Invisibility on ultimate
6. Master Yi
Master Yi as he appears in League of Legends: Wild Rift
Master Yi is a jungler that makes late game feel like a nightmare due to his late game damage. You would think that running around with a sword isn’t very assassin-like, but Master Yi can kill an opponent in only a few hits when he’s ahead. His demeanor might be calm, but he is a quick killer in the right hands.
Master Yi uses his skill 1, which allows him to dash between enemies for damage, and his auto attacks to do tons of damage in a short time. By quickly gaining gold by killing monsters in the jungle, he gets the items he needs and uses his ultimate to rush at enemies, which can't be stopped by anything other than hard crowd control. With his empowered attacks from his skill 2 and his self healing from his skill 3, he is not only a quick killer, he’s hard to get rid of.
Why Master Yi is a great assassin:
- Late game damage
- Self healing
- Hard to peel

Nothing like Kha’Zix to “bug” your opponents while they’re laning. This insect from the void loves catching enemies alone, as it gets bonus damage on them, and it’ll hop its way right on top of you if you aren’t careful. Don’t think about going anywhere where you can’t see on the rift, because if it’s there, you won’t be seeing anything at all until you respawn.
Kha’Zix gets three evolution points for each upgrade of its ult, which it can use on three of its four skills. Its skill 1 allows it to do additional damage to enemies that aren’t near allies or by allied structures, meaning that it shines best at taking out champions that are off on their own. Its skill 3 allows it to hop to a target direction, which refreshes on a kill, and its ultimate makes it invisible for a short period of time, meaning that it’s in, got its kill, and out before you know it.
Why Kha’Zix is a great assassin:
- Additional damage on isolated targets
- Evolution points provide adaptability
- Invisibility on ultimate

Fiery redheads might be some peoples’ thing, but Katarina takes it to a whole new level. She’s a knife-throwing tornado of death, and she’ll take you out without a second thought if you let her. Masters of Katarina spend their games jumping around and killing enemies before they even know what happened, and every play they make on her is flashy.
Katarina throws a knife when she uses her skill 1 and skill 2, and picking up this knife by walking over it causes her to spin, doing damage. Combine this with her skill 3, which allows her to jump to a target unit and has its cooldown reduced when picking a knife up, to make fancy plays that do massive damage to enemies. On top of this, her ultimate does even more damage to up to three enemies in an area, making her deadly from level 5 onward.
Why Katarina is a great assassin:
- Quickly becomes powerful
- High mobility
- Can easily outplay enemies

The Aspect of the Moon is more deadly than you realize. Diana has a straightforward playstyle, but said playstyle can quickly kill off any opponent she faces. She’s not as sneaky as some of the other champions on this list, but her damage is no less a danger to the unsuspecting.
Diana uses her skill 1 to do ranged damage to enemies and put moonlight on them. She then uses her skill 3 to dash to them, doing damage and removing any moonlight nearby, which lowers the cooldown on that skill. The additional shield/damage on her skill 2 and her ultimate, which does strong damage and brings enemies towards her, makes her a powerful burst champion that can assassinate with ease.
Why Diana is a great assassin:
- High mobility
- Hard to peel
- High damage
2. Evelynn

Watch now: EX-RANK 1 PLAYS EVELYNN | Wild Rift Highlights | Evelynn Full Gameplay - YouTube
This succubus of the jungle is always looking for prey to catch and suck their life out. Evelynn might look appealing, but to the enemy team, she is a strong threat. Her invisibility and her charm make her catch great, and with an ultimate that can easily wipe out a team, it’s no wonder why she’s so popular.
Evelynn gains camouflage from her passive after level 5, which makes her very hard to track in the jungle. She can then use her skill 2 and skill 3 as crowd control on enemy champions, charming them or pulling herself to them and doing massive damage with her skill 1. Her ultimate, which is both a finisher and an escape tool, can be used to pick off low health enemies and then put her far away where others can’t get to her.
Why Evelynn is a great assassin:
- Camouflage on passive
- Good crowd control
- High damage on low targets
1. Akali
Akali as she appears in League of Legends: Wild Rift
This ninja is the top of the pack when it comes to assassins in Wild Rift. Akali is a jump-in, jump-out champion, and her current lack of meaningful counters means that good players on her can sweep a team with little trouble. She’s seeing play in both top and mid, which means that her strength is widely recognized.
Akali users her skill 1 to activate her passive, which allows her next auto attack to do bonus damage. In addition, her skill 2 helps her go invisible in a small area, avoiding attacks and crowd control, and her skill 3 allows her both to dodge away from danger and then jump back in on her target if the shuriken she originally throws hits an enemy. Her ultimate is a large dash that allows her to take out fleeing opponents and outplay an enemy with whom she finds herself in battle.
Why Akali is a great assassin:
- High mobility
- Invisibility on skill 2
- No counter
