The Amazingly Created Mods for Minecraft: Pocket Edition
Most people don't even know that the Pocket Edition has mods. Well, it does. And some of the mods are as good as the ones for the Java edition. When Bedrock and Pocket Edition was first released, people thought that no one would make mods for those versions, but the amazing modding community of Minecraft overdelivered like they always did.
So, if your preferred version of Minecraft is Pocket Edition, let us present you 15 amazing mods for you to choose, play, and have a lot of fun with!
15. New Player Animation
Here is a video showcasing New Player Animation.
Have you ever wanted better animations from Minecraft? Well, now you can install New Player Animation and get all kinds of cool animations for the Pocket Edition of the game.
Your character actually looks like they are using all their body when they are running. Along with animations for sprinting, walking, sneaking, swimming, riding, and much more, you can now feel even more immersed in the game and your character while playing.
Why New Player Animation is fun:
- It adds so many new animations that you will get surprised even a long while after you’ve downloaded the mod. Your character is not stiff like before but feels like a realistic character, even if they are still made up of cubes.
- Even though it adds new cool animations, the mod will not affect performance that much and you can enjoy this mod without losing almost no FPS.
- You can use your own skin and the animations will work flawlessly with your character as well.

14. Pocket Creatures
Here is a video showcasing Pocket Creatures.
There is a lot of empty space in Minecraft for new creatures. This is also apparent when you realize that almost every update for the game adds a new animal. However, Minecraft gets updated pretty slowly, as we all know. So, why not get all those animals you want without waiting years for it?
Pocket creatures adds a lot of new animals, and it’s not only for cosmetics or world-building. You can interact with most of the new animals, craft saddles and other items for them, and, of course, tame them as well.
With animals like elephants, mammoths, ostriches, zebras, sharks, lions, and even dinosaurs, along with many more, you will feel the world of the game is richer the moment you play it with this mod downloaded.
There are even custom drops for some new animals. For example, sharks drop shark teeth, and you can craft the items “shark sword” and “shark teeth sword” with these drops. With so many other new gameplay additions, this is definitely a mod you should give a shot.
Why Pocket Creatures is fun:
- It adds countless new animals to the game that all live in their own biomes and interact with each other.
- There are ways to interact with these animals as well! You can ride elephants or craft a sword out of shark teeth. The world is your oyster at this point.

13. Dexten’s Backpacks
Here is a video showcasing Dexten’s Backpacks.
There is a problem with storage in Minecraft. This problem is also in Pocket Edition, of course. Now, solving this problem doesn’t seem that difficult, right? Just add a few backpacks. Well, that’s exactly what Dexten’s Backpacks does.
There are 4 different backpacks you can create that are more spacious than its inferior counterpart. The normal backpack has 16 slots, iron backpack has 32, golden backpack has 48, and finally, diamond backpack has 64 slots for you to carry around.
A backpack with 64 slots is straight-up overpowered. If you don’t mind that, of course, this mod is a must-get to solve the storage and inventory problem in the game. Just don’t think about how heavy a backpack made out of diamonds would be.
Why Dexten’s Backpacks is fun:
- You can craft backpacks that you can put items into and carry around. Unlike shulker boxes, you don’t need to put them down on the ground to open them, which is a huge plus.
- Another cool mechanic this mod provides is that you need to craft the most basic backpack and upgrade with iron, gold, and then diamonds to get to the best backpack, which makes things a bit more difficult and rewarding.
- The mod has very intuitive mechanics. You can hover over the backpack and see what’s inside it, you can drop the backpack, put it in a chest, transfer it via minecarts; whatever you can think of you can do it.

12. Lance Furniture
Here is a video showcasing Lance Furniture.
This mod is one of those mods where you think about the limits of Minecraft. Well, working security cameras along with all kinds of technological devices and furniture should get you thinking for some time.
With all kinds of modern furniture like sofas, microwaves, computer, and safety cameras, you can build yourself a modern home inside Minecraft. Not only that, but some furniture actually works. For example, you can use the coffee maker to turn cocoa beans into coffee and drink it. You can also use the microwave, toaster, ceiling fan, speakers, TV, waffle maker, and security cameras the way they are intended in real life.
The build community for Minecraft is huge, and one of the biggest sub-categories for these builders is “modern architecture”. With the help of these modern furniture, you can bring that to the next level and actually create a functioning, real modern home in Minecraft. Sounds pretty cool, right? Well, that’s because it is.
Why Lance Furniture is fun:
- If you are builder, you will enjoy this mod a lot. With a lot of different modern furniture, you can build things in Minecraft that were impossible to build before. Well, let’s not say impossible, since basically nothing is impossible in Minecraft, let’s say that you can build those things with much more ease.
- These items also include working electronics like microwaves, televisions, and even security cameras. You can use these items to bring flavor to your game.
- The TV even has 4 channels. Four! What more can you really want?

11. Mutant Creatures
Here is a video showcasing Mutant Creatures.
Ever wanted to make the hostile mobs in Minecraft much more terrifying and deadly? Yeah, me neither. But let’s do it anyway.
You really cannot explain Mutant Creatures a lot, the name does the heavy lifting for you, to be honest. Every creature is amped up to a 100, from like, 1. The zombies are buff, really buff, and they can even summon minions. Mutant Creeper is crooked and snake-like, and their explosions are a lot bigger. We will not go over every mutant creature in the game but just know that there are even mutant axolotl just swimming around. The developers really thought about every creature, from the enderman to the snow golem, no mob is left unturned. The mod adds a lot of variety and different encounters in the game and also makes it a lot more challenging (also terrifying), definitely worth a try.
Why Mutant Creatures is fun:
- It adds more challenge to the game, along with new encounters and situations to have fun.
- The mutant mobs drop different items than their normal counterparts, making it so that killing some of them will be actually beneficial.
- The mutant mobs look amazing and their designs are simply really, really cool, and you can experience the fun this mod brings more with new items like Chemical X, Hulk Hammer, and the Creeper Egg.

10. Jurassic Craft
Here is a video showcasing Jurassic Craft.
Okay, everyone like dinosaurs. Probably. I don’t know. I like them, and I definitely want them in my game. So, here it goes.
Jurassic Craft, as the name suggests, brings a lot of new animals into the game, and all of them are dinosaurs. Who guessed? With new mobs like the raptor, carnotaurus, indoraptor (is that even a real one?), T-rex and a lot of other ones (the list is pretty long), there is simply too much fun to be had with this mod.
The developers have also thought about every dinosaur, with their own growth stages, behavior, and usefulness, there is a lot of difference they bring to the game. For example, you can ride Lepodactylids and fly around. I mean, can anything be cooler?
Why Jurassic Craft is fun:
- It adds a lot of new mobs in the game (dinosaurs!) that all have their own characters and properties.
- You can interact with these animals to help yourself in different situations and also, you can find yourself fighting or running away from the especially aggressive ones.
- They all have their own growth stages! And it’s really detailed too. For example, some aggressive dinosaurs do not attack when they are young, and young dinosaurs overall have less HP, compared to their adult growth stage. You can always find new characteristics with these animals.

9. Expansive Biomes
Here is a video showcasing Expansive Biomes.
We all love variety, and Expansive Biomes brings that. With over 20 new biomes, you can feel that the world of Minecraft is richer and more expansive (hey, it’s the name of the mod) the second you open a new world.
With new biomes like the pendula forest, volcanic peaks, lavender plains, jacaranda forest, autumn forest, and many others, you can find new variants of leaves, wood, and other items you can use for crafting or building, or you can explore all around and simply have a wonderful time with all the new scenes this mod brings. Definitely a fresh breath to the game, and one that I would strongly recommend installing.
Why Expansive Biomes is fun:
- The mod brings over 20 new biomes into the game and all of them are beautifully crafted and makes the world more expansive.
- In addition to new wood and leaf types, there are also new armor and tools you can craft. For example, there is the grizzly pelt armor made from grizzly bear pelts, and vibranium armor and tools that are stronger than netherite.
- To make the world feel even more alive and varied, the mod also adds new animals. Some biomes have crocodiles, some have deer. There are also new hostile mob variants like mossy skeleton and new interactable, neutral mobs like goblins.

8. More Simple Structures
Here is a video showcasing More Simple Structures.
Sometimes, it’s the small things. Whenever you first played the game and came across the desert temple, or the jungle one, you felt that, right? The feeling of adventure, of mystique.
Well, that feeling is kind of gone now that we know everything about Minecraft, and I mean everything. This mod, More Simple Structures, adds structures similar to those in the game, a new pyramid, campsites, oasis, houses, ruins, and other mysterious structures that I won’t spoil here. This mod brings that initial feeling back to the game and gives us a reason to explore the world of Minecraft even more, which is pretty cool, if you ask me.
Why More Simple Structures is fun:
- It adds countless new structures into the game, along with a lot of new stuff to explore and discover.
- In addition to the structures, there are new mobs in the game like pirates, ghosts, knights, and other mobs. There is even a new biome, and new items like bananas, cherries, and so on. A proper adventure mod, yay!

7. True Survival - Zombie Apocalypse
Here is a video showcasing True Survival - Zombie Apocalypse.
If you’ve liked my article about the best zombie apocalypse mods in Minecraft, you will definitely enjoy this one. It’s a zombie apocalypse mod, just the way we like it.
There are now only zombies, and all zombies have different attributes, strengths, and weaknesses. Some of them are really fast, some of them are really strong. There are new zombie variants, NPCs to interact with, new animals and even guns.
Everything you want in a zombie apocalypse mod, this one has it. You want traps, sentry guns, they have it. Overall, it’s a great mod that rivals the best zombie apocalypse mods in the Java version of the game. Definitely worth a try if you enjoy zombie apocalypse mods in Minecraft.
Why True Survival - Zombie Apocalypse is fun:
- It creates a zombie apocalypse scenario in Minecraft in which you have to survive to the best of your ability with lots of challenges along the way.
- There are different zombies that will attack you differently. Some are difficult to kill and have a lot of HP, some are really fast, some hit really hard, and so on. Because of these differences, you will have to approach every encounter a little bit differently.
- You also have the chance to interact with a lot of different NPCs in the game that might, maybe, try to kill at some point. The mod is difficult, and that’s the way we like our zombie apocalypse mods.

6. SCP Foundation
Here is a video showcasing SCP Foundation.
If you like the SCP foundation and its Wiki, this is definitely a must-try. If you don’t know about the SCP foundation, definitely check it out, especially if you like horror.
This mod has your favorites, SCP-173, 049, even 682, which even the original SCP: Containment Breach game did not have. This is as detailed, or maybe even more detailed than the original Unity game and has all types of scenarios, items, NPCs, and countless different things to do to survive from all the different SCPs. Definitely give this one a try if you are fan of SCP or even horror, you won’t be disappointed.
Why SCP Foundation is fun:
- It brings all the fan-favorite SCPs in Minecraft which are all scary and fun in their own way.
- For us horror fans, this mod definitely knows how to bring horror into Minecraft, which is not something we see that much for Minecraft mobs.

5. ActualGuns 3D
Here is a video showcasing ActualGuns 3D.
Let’s take it back to the basics. Sometimes you want guns, lots of guns, and ActualGuns 3D is here to provide just that. There are guns from video games like Counterstrike, and from lots of different other franchises, in addition to real guns.
There are different animations for every gun. Whenever you are holding them and sprinting, aiming, shooting, reloading, and every other animation you might be inclined to do, the animation is different for every gun. Not a lot to talk about here, just guns and the ability to have a lot of fun with them in Minecraft, is what this mod offers.
Why ActualGuns 3D is fun:
- There are nine different guns you can use which are created with beautiful model work that feel block-y in-line with the aesthetic of Minecraft but still feel realistic at the same time.
- There are different animations for every single gun. If you are carrying a heavier gun, you run more hunched over, different types of animations for longer guns, and so on. A lot of thought was put into this mod, and we really appreciate that, of course.

4. More Tools
Here is a video showcasing More Tools.
Variety is good for the soul, and the same thing applies for the tools in Minecraft. You can now craft different tools with materials that are already in the game, like amethyst, quartz, lapis lazuli, and so on. We all wondered how it would be if we could build tools out of things like quartz before, right. Am I the only weird one?
Okay, how about different, new materials? Well, there is a stupid amount of those as well. There are materials that you can build tools and armor out of like tungsten, cobalt, enderium, amber, glass, uranium, jade, and a lot more. All tools have different levels of attributes, and you can have fun choosing the best materials for what you want to do in the game at that very moment.
Why More Tools is fun:
- You can craft tools and armor from materials already in the game, or from various new materials. (and there is a LOT of new materials)
- These new materials and ores like uranium also have different spawn levels and the mod offers a whole new ore generation in the game with it, making mining with your new tools even more fun and different than the original Minecraft experience.

3. FurniCraft 3D Block
Here is a video showcasing FurniCraft 3D Block.
This is probably the most detailed furniture mod you can get for the Pocket Edition. There are countless new furniture from pool tables to laptops to even gamer chairs. Now you can live out your gamer fantasy even in Minecraft, what a world.
With this mod, you can make the most detailed and lived-in houses you can think of. Not only that, but this mod strives to make the game have a simulation aspect as well. Now, you can marry someone in the game and even have babies with them.
Yes, you can make a family in Minecraft now. There are a lot of things this mod changes and overall, the game feels really different. If you like Minecraft to be like a simulation of a modern life, no better mod is available than FurniCraft 3D Block.
Why FurniCraft 3D Block is fun:
- The mod adds countless furniture and blocks to the game that will help you build modern structures with a lot of new things to do in them.
- You can make a family and even have children with this mod, putting that modern house you’ve built to good use.
Get the mod here: https://mcpedl.com/furnicraft-addon/
2. Expansive Fantasy
Here is a video showcasing Expansive Fantasy.
If you don’t like modern life but love fantasy worlds and lore instead, I got just the mod for you. With expansive fantasy, you can tame dragons, fight orcs, and run away from huge sea creatures (they are scary).
There are new biomes with fantasy elements and a lot of new items that will help you explore these new places. You can craft wings, new types of potions, new weapon type like grappling hooks, craft magical staffs and use them to fight all kinds of fantasy monsters.
The list is endless for the things that are added with this mod. So, if you like fantasy, dive right in to the mod and have a blast discovering all the cool stuff this mod adds to the game.
Why Expansive Fantasy is fun:
- The mod basically turns Minecraft into an RPG game where you can tame dragons and fight giant monsters. Do I really need to say anything else about this mod?
- Well, okay. I guess I got to say more about this mod. There is magic, wings, new food items, new tools and armor, new animals, hostile mobs, dragons, new biomes, and much more.

1. SERP Pokédrock 1
Here is a video showcasing SERP Pokédrock 1.
If you wanted to play the great Pokémon mods available for the Java edition of the game but on Bedrock or Pocket Edition instead, you’ve come to the right place.
This mod is as detailed as those other Pokémon mods. It has a giant roster of different Pokémon for you to catch. All Pokémon spawn in their respective biomes and locations, and you can keep track of all of the ones you’ve caught and want to catch from your Pokedex, along with many other things you can see in your Pokedex.
There are new items like bikes that will help you get around quicker and all those items you love from the original games are here as well.
Of course, let’s not forget about fights. You can enjoy all kinds of battles and duelsanywhere in the world. This mod is basically a Pokémon game in Minecraft, and definitely the most detailed mod ever made for the Pocket Edition of Minecraft, in my opinion of course.
Why SERP Pokédrock 1 is fun:
- The mod has everything you’d expect from a Pokémon game. Some mechanics here are even better than the original series’ weaker games (in my opinion).
- The mod also supports Portuguese and Spanish along with English. We don’t see a lot of mods that are also designed for other languages, so this is something I definitely enjoy and would like to see for other mods as well.
