[Top 10] Minecraft City Seeds That Are Fun! (2022 Edition)

Minecraft gives every player immense power and control over their environment. The sheer scale of what you can do with the tools programmed to be available to you creates challenges as massive as building an entire city from scratch. Some players are dedicated enough to do this in survival mode, and a few might choose to work smarter by using creative mode - and then there are folks who don’t have the time for either of those! Whether you’re cutting corners or simply seeking a magnificent pre-built city to explore, here are ten of the coolest Minecraft city seeds.

As a disclaimer, cities like these don’t naturally generate in Minecraft, so these seeds are working in tandem with maps designed by Minecraft creators - and in my research, it was often fairly difficult to find the seed the builder used. Some of these seeds may have been recorded inaccurately - as such, take care to place the files appropriately to be sure you get what you’re looking for.

10. 1536966017 - Used by Dragonek

Up first, we have Dragonek’s city, simplistic in design but massive in sprawl. Three players collaborated to build this huge city, including over seventy separate furnished buildings and even skyscrapers with textured walls that really bring the whole place to life!

9. 1033100595202711085 - Used by OhagiMan

OhagiMan’s medieval city is incredible enough in its scale and detail that I would have put it higher on the list - if it wasn’t for the fact that I’ve already used this build on a separate list before! Disregarding it’s spot on [Top 10] Minecraft Castle Seeds That Are Fun! (2022 Edition), I just couldn’t leave it off this list. It’s simply too beautifully designed.

8. 1089576214 - Used by DGmetro

DGmetro’s city build is sleek and modern, featuring buildings made entirely of colored glass, but, most impressively, is the city’s transit systems. There are multiple cities carved out of this seed and 40 subway lines connecting them. 

7. 1466433125 - Used by Auugustus

This city on the coast is jam packed with buildings and transit, and there’s even a sunken city in the sea. All of the buildings have unique and uncommon designs and architecture, giving this city a distinct appearance.

6. 190800072 - Used by JaxTer193YT

Yet another modern city, this build features asphalt roads, parking garages, and high-tech buildings and facilities. It reminds me of something out of a science fiction film. JaxTer193YT has constructed a hotel in the city, in case you ever wanted to take a vacation to the future.

This tribute to iconic American cities features replicas of recognizable architecture, faithfully adapted into Minecraft’s style. Seattle’s Space Needle and the Empire State Building are two of many carefully constructed locations that demonstrate the creators’ dedicated knowledge and research on these legendary real-world feats of design.

4. 1022068427347780545 - Used by Sammuel Coulson

This creator is clearly a big fan of the Marvel universe, building an entire high-tech world based on notable figures and organizations found in the comics and films. Not only is the build itself incredible, but I highly recommend reading the description on the download page, where the savvy architect behind the project gives players an in-depth look at the lore.

3. 1001000100001000001 - Used by RoseNoire

The architecture of this city is positively stunning. Clearly intended to tell a story, RoseNoire has designed this intricate and lovingly crafted world for the purposes of role-play. There are so many different ways someone could use this city as a magnificent backdrop for an original saga.

2. 1237383187 - Used by CHIANG TUNG CITY

The round shapes of this city are pleasing to look at and reminiscent of those play mats that are patterned to look like a city from above. You know the ones… Chiang Tung City is a build inspired by locations from around Thailand, all constructed by a dedicated person from this fascinating real-life country.

The jungle biome is a notoriously difficult terrain to build in. The trees are tall and dense and thick with foliage, the ground blanketed in underbrush. Just clearing out a space for building is a task in and of itself - unless you’re clever enough to use the terrain as the inspiration for the architecture. This jungle city is composed of 50 treehouses. No wonder a build of this size has taken the creator seven years to create!

Often, Minecraft is a way to escape from city life, providing access to rural countrysides for farming and living the simple life, pixel by pixel - but true geniuses can use these same uninhabited lands and construct their own amazing countries and capitals. See you around, and happy gaming!
