[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Ram Loadouts That Are Excellent

Rainbow 6 Siege Best Ram Loadout

Ram is the newest addition to Team Rainbow and while her release isn’t accompanied with a new weapon, it certainly came with a very new interesting special gadget. Her Bu-Gi Auto Breacher is basically like a small tank that will destroy any breakable object or surface on its path and under it. That means if it rams into an unreinforced wall, it’ll create an entryway, and if it collides into a deployable shield, that shield will get destroyed.

As for the destruction underneath it, it’ll destroy wooden floors and unreinforced hatches. That makes her pretty one of the most destructive operators in the game right now, and she has four Bu-Gi Auto Breachers. And in this article, we’ll be discussing how her loadout setups will help her perform her role more effectively.

Ram is definitely one of the noisiest operators around. When they’re deployed and destroying stuff, Ram’s Bu-Gi Auto Breachers create a lot of noise. Now that noise can be to the advantage of the attacking team or be a detriment to them, because it can obviously mask the sound cues that attackers make, preventing defenders from hearing their approach. But the same can be said for Ram and other attackers close to the Bu-Gi Auto Breachers, because they won’t be able to hear roamers who will try to hit them from behind well.

That gives you an idea that Ram is really not a stealthy operator. Far from it. But the suppressor on her R4-C assault rifle is still a very viable setup because when she’s shooting enemies from the destroyed floor above the objective spot, she won’t be giving them a directional threat indicator that’ll tell them where she’s shooting from. Additionally, her shots won’t have muzzle flash and they’ll be much more silent, and that could prevent enemies from effectively countering Ram from below, as it’ll make it harder for them to ascertain where she’s positioned.

Excels in:

  • Shooting enemies with Ram’s R4-C without giving them a directional threat indicator of where your shots are coming from, which is great for vertical plays that Ram specializes in
  • Having an ample amount of vertical recoil control on Ram’s R4-C with the use of the vertical grip attachment which will help a lot in controlling the weapon’s rough recoil
  • Ram’s R4-C's compatibility with the scope 2.0x and 1.5x, which, note that Ash’s R4-C don’t have, is really great for targeting enemies as the high zoom levels promotes more accuracy
  • The ITA12S shotgun as Ram’s secondary weapon provides her with an extra way of reworking the map to her advantage, either for creating entry points, destroying more parts of the wooden floor, or opening hatches
  • The stun grenades are great utilities for Ram even when she’s performing a vertical play as she can slip them through the metal beams of the destroyed wooden floor above the objective spot

  • R4-C with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser

4. R4-C with Scope 2.0x, Muzzle Brake, and Vertical Grip + ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser + Stun Grenade

The R4-C is an assault rifle with a pretty fast rate of fire, and that makes its recoil quite hard to control, especially its first shot recoil. If you go inside the game and see its recoil pattern image, it’ll give you a good idea of how strong its first shot recoil is. Luckily, the muzzle brake barrel attachment doesn’t only work in controlling the recoil of single-shot weapons like its in-game description says, it also works well with many fully automatic weapons because it lowers their first shot recoil. While one might think that it’s not that impactful because it only lowers the recoil of the first shot, it actually is a pretty huge deal.

That’s because the first shot recoil is always the strongest recoil, and for guns like the R4-C which has a strong first shot recoil, lowering it will go a long way in controlling its subsequent shots. That’s why as you can see from the recoil test image below, most of my shots were at the center while the last few shots became much harder to control. What that means is that when it comes to controlling the first round of shots from the R4-C, the muzzle brake, combined with the vertical grip, does a great deal when it comes to recoil control. And most of the time, those first round of shots are the only thing you’ll need to down an enemy anyway.

Excels in:

  • The muzzle brake on Ram’s R4-C assault rifle will greatly lower the first shot kick of the weapon, and that’ll allow her to have easier control of its subsequent shots
  • The vertical grip providing more vertical recoil control on Ram’s R4-C is a great partner to the muzzle brake as it’ll really help in stabilizing the overall recoil of the weapon
  • The scope 2.0x on Ram’s R4-C assault rifle will really help her in targeting enemies with great accuracy as it’ll make them appear bigger on the player’s screen
  • The ITA12S is a great utility for Ram when it comes to creating entry points on soft walls and hatches, as well as destroying other parts of the wooden floor above the objective spot that the Bu-Gis didn’t destroy
  • The stun grenades are great for taking map control when Ram starts pushing with her teammates, which she’ll eventually have to do even if she starts off with a vertical play with her Bu-Gis

3. LMG-E with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip + ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser + Smoke Grenade

The LMG-E is one of my favorite light machine guns in the game because of its high damage, wide variety of attachments compatible with it, decent rate of fire, and manageable recoil. That is, before the big recoil progression overhaul some months ago. The LMG-E is one of the weapons that were heavily affected by it, and now, it’s actually quite challenging to use it for suppressive fire. That’s because when you fire it in long sprays, its weapon kick will be hard to control. But that also doesn’t mean that it’s not a viable weapon for Ram.

On the contrary, it’s actually a great weapon for Ram because of her gameplay. As mentioned before, Ram is a very noisy operator, and her Bu-Gis are really oppressive with the destruction and noise that they make. Despite its now hard to control recoil, the LMG-E remains an oppressive weapon as well and really fits Ram’s gameplay. As one could see from the recoil test image below, I was able to fire more than thirty shots with it before really losing control of the weapon. Ram can just simply fire it in shorter sprays and use it with controlled aggression and she’ll be able to cause a lot of trouble with it.

Excels in:

  • The flash hider and vertical grip will both apply great vertical recoil control on the LMG-E which will allow Ram to handle its recoil well, at least when it comes to short bursts
  • When using the LMG-E as her primary weapon, Ram can just treat it as an assault rifle where she’ll fire a maximum of around thirty bullets before reloading, only with the LMG-E, instead of reloading, she’ll simply have to stop shooting and regroup herself
  • Ram will be able to see and target her enemies well through the scope 2.0x on her LMG-E because of its high zoom level which will allow her to see her targets bigger on her screen
  • The ITA12S will be very helpful for Ram as it’ll allow her to rework the map to her advantage. The laser on it will greatly tighten its hip fire while the reflex B 1.0x sight will provide a clear view of the surroundings while on aim-down-sights stance
  • The two smoke grenades as Ram’s generic gadgets will be provide a lot of cover to the pushing attackers and Ram can also deploy them to support her teammates below when she’s performing a vertical play

  • LMG-E with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip
  • ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser
  • Smoke Grenade

2. R4-C with Scope 2.0x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip + ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser + Stun Grenade

Ram specializes in causing destruction and chaos against the defending team, and she’ll even have a heavier impact on them if she has more firepower. She can have that by simply equipping the extended barrel to her R4-C assault rifle because it now adds 12% damage to weapons on top of its previous perk of lowering weapons’ range damage drop-off. So with the extended barrel on the R4-C assault rifle, Ram will have heavier firepower and she’ll be able to make shorter work of enemies, especially at close to medium range where she’d mostly shoot them from anyway.

This loadout setup works extremely well for Ram because she’s mostly a vertical attacker who’ll destroy large portions of the wooden floor above the objective spot with her Bu-Gis. The problem though is that wooden floors in Siege have indestructible metal beams so even though the wooden floor is destroyed, attackers will still have to shoot through the gaps between those metal beams when dealing with enemies below. That means that it’s just generally better for attackers to deal as much damage as they can between the short time that they can shoot through those gaps, and the extended barrel will provide that additional firepower.

Excels in:

  • The extended barrel on Ram’s R4-C assault rifle will allow her to deal more damage to enemies, which is very important especially during the short time she has to shoot enemies between metal beams when she’s doing a vertical play
  • The extended barrel on the R4-C will also make it so that the weapon’s range damage drop-off will be a lot lower, and that means that Ram will be dealing heavy damage to enemies regardless of range
  • The vertical grip on Ram’s R4-C assault rifle will greatly help her in stabilizing the weapon kick of the weapon because it’ll apply a lot of vertical recoil control on it
  • The scope 2.0x on Ram’s R4-C assault rifle is a great sight to have regardless of distance because it’s a very balanced scope with high zoom level while also not sacrificing a lot of peripheral view
  • The ITA12S shotgun will allow Ram to rework the map to the attacking team’s advantage because of its high destruction rate per shot, and with the reflex B and laser, it can also be a great weapon for close quarters combat

  • R4-C with Scope 2.0x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip
  • ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser
  • Stun Grenade

1. R4-C with Scope 2.0x, Muzzle Brake, and Angled Grip + ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser + Smoke Grenade

This is the best loadout setup for Ram because it’s what will fit right in with her gameplay. As explained before, players would mostly use Ram for vertical attacks. That’s because her Bu-Gis are capable of destroying large parts of the wooden floor above the objective spot, and that’s very effective in unsettling the defenders below as they’ll be exposed from above. But the floors also have indestructible metal beams which could make it a challenge to shoot defenders below even if you see them. So for the most part, when Ram players do shoot defenders through the gaps between those metal beams, it’ll be in short sprays.

And when it comes to having the best recoil on short sprays, the muzzle brake is the best barrel attachment. That’s because it’ll greatly lower the weapon’s first shot recoil, and that generally has the effect of stabilizing the subsequent shots. On the other hand, the angled grip will allow Ram to go into aim-down-sights stance faster than normal. Since the angled grip doesn’t add any recoil control benefits, it’s going to be hard to empty a magazine in this loadout setup without losing control. But it will excel a lot when it comes to short sprays, because the player will have good short burst recoil from the muzzle brake and aim-down-sight speed from the angled grip.

Excels in:

  • The muzzle brake on the barrel of the R4-C assault rifle will greatly lower the weapon’s first shot recoil which will stabilize its subsequent shots, making short sprays easier to control
  • The angled grip on Ram’s R4-C assault rifle will allow her to go into aim-down-sights stance faster than normal which is a great perk for her when she’s performing a vertical play and also when dealing with roamers or flankers
  • The scope 2.0x is one of the most balanced scopes in the game and works well at any range because it provides a good amount of zoom level but it’s also not so high to the point that it sacrifices too much peripheral view
  • This loadout setup on the R4-C basically specializes in short burst firing with the muzzle brake lowering its first shot recoil and the angled grip allowing Ram to aim at her opponents faster
  • The smoke grenades provides a lot of cover for the attacking team’s push and defuser plant attempts and Ram can even deploy them to support her teammates in between the gaps on the floor’s metal beams when she’s performing a vertical play

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - R4-C with Scope 2.0x, Muzzle Brake, and Angled Grip
  • Secondary weapon - ITA12S with Reflex B and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Smoke Grenade
