R6 best Zero Loadouts

Operator Zero is one of the coolest additions to Rainbow Six Siege. It makes you feel how the Ubisoft shooter games are connected in one universe, in addition to the appearance of our beloved Rainbow operators in Ghost Recon Wildlands. Zero has quickly become one of the player favorites because his unique gadget, the Argus Launcher, attaches cameras to walls, floors, and ceilings, and we all know how important surveillance is in Siege. On top of that, the cameras from the Argus Launcher can also fire lasers for destroying enemy gadgets. But it's not just his name and unique gadget that should make the enemy team worry. His unique gun and loadout choices are worthy of his legendary name.

Stealth is what always comes to mind whenever I hear the name Sam Fisher and the Splinter Cell games.

Sam Fisher wouldn’t be Sam Fisher without stealth. After all, the game where he became famous, Splinter Cell, is a stealth video game. Be true to Sam Fisher’s legacy with this loadout and enjoy the benefits of stealth. After all, Siege is a specops game and moving stealthily makes a big difference.

With this loadout, you can strafe at your enemies without them getting the directional threat indicator that tells them where the shots are coming from. That will prevent them from immediately returning fire. Silent gunshots can also prevent enemies from going to your position, which is very important when playing Zero, because a vast amount of your time would be spent on your Argus cams.

Excels in:

  • Stealth
  • Close to medium range

Tighter recoil

The compensator reduces the recoil diamond of guns, in essence, it doesn’t just reduce the vertical recoil of the gun, but also the recoil in all directions, which makes the recoil pattern of guns with a compensator, tighter, and provides a smoother feel especially with sustained firing. It’s a great attachment for guns like the SC3000K that has an inherent low recoil and relatively big recoil diamond.

The claymore is a valuable defensive tool for Zero especially when he’s on surveillance mode with his Argus cams. Put it on runout spots or above the stairs where it won’t easily be seen by roamers. With a claymore covering your back, you’ll be able to freely do your job as an intel gatherer and gadget destroyer.

Excels in:

  • Close to medium range

3. SC3000K with 1.5x Scope, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip + Gonne-6 + Claymore

High damage at any range

The extended barrel greatly reduces the range damage reduction penalty. This loadout ensures that you’ll be making high damage from any range which is important because in Siege, you’ll never really know where and when an opponent may come to your field of view. In Zero’s case, because of his Argus cams, you’ll have a better idea where an enemy may come from, which angle to shoot at, or if there’s an enemy you can wall bang.

With the extended barrel, even wall bangs will have lesser damage penalty, allowing you to rack up kills from any range. And although you can get more zoom with the 2.0x scope which is available to the SC3000K, it comes with a big drawback of covering a big part of your screen, which is why for Zero, it’s best to use the 1.5x scope. It will provide just the right amount of zoom for close to medium range encounters.

Excels in:

  • Any range

2. SC3000K with 1.5x Scope, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip + Gonne-6 + Claymore

A balance of recoil control and quickness

The flash hider is king when it comes to reducing the vertical recoil of guns. And for the SC3000K which has an almost straight vertical recoil pattern, the flash hider works wonders. It doesn’t just reduce the vertical recoil of guns, it also hides the muzzle flash, which may cause some delay for your enemies to notice where you’re shooting them from. Some guns also have a big muzzle flash which can blur your vision while shooting. So, in general, hiding the muzzle flash comes with great benefits.

The angled grip will allow you to go into aim-down-sights (ads) position, and for operators like Zero, that is very valuable because there will be a lot of times when you’re monitoring your Argus cams and you need to quickly switch back to your guns and engage your enemies. The angled grip will provide you with a faster reaction time when that kind of scenario happens.

Excels in:

  • Close to medium range

Speed is essential to a multitasking operator like Zero

This loadout is recommended for experienced players who are well practiced when it comes to their own recoil control. With this loadout, you’ll be prioritizing high damage and speed. The extended barrel will ensure that you’ll make high damage even from long range, and the angled grip will allow you to aim at your enemies as quickly as possible. The muzzle kick in this loadout could be hard to control, but if you practice it, you’ll reap its superior offensive benefits.

The Gonne-6 is in general the best secondary for Zero. It can destroy unreinforced hatches, castle barricades, and even bulletproof gadgets like Maestro’s evil eye. This is a versatile tool which you can use to attack from above, initiate a rush once you know an area is clear through your Argus cams, or destroy defender gadgets that can counter your special gadget.

Excels in:

  • Close to medium range
