S-Tier – These are operators that are always good to have no matter the map and no matter the enemies’ chosen objective spot. They belong to the S-Tier because of the amount of contribution and benefit that they can give to the team, and if you pick them, there’s a high chance for you to perform well, and for your team to win the round.
Zofia (S-Tier Anti-Roamer, Soft Breach, Flanker, Crowd Control, Disabler)
Zofia is an offensive menace. Her special gadget is really perfect for her role of basically overwhelming the enemy with superior fire power. Her KS79 Lifeline can fire off two concussion grenades and two impact grenades. That means that if you’re a roamer, and when Zofia has her sights on you, it’ll be very hard to escape. Because she can quickly make entry holes impact grenades, or with the use of her concussion grenades that can bounce off walls pretty strongly, she can concuss the hell out of any opponents that are hiding in corners. And both of her guns are unique to her. And in Siege, unique guns usually mean strong.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- LMG-E with 2.5x Scope, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip
- RG15 with Suppressor
- Claymore
Operator strengths:
- Very high offensive power
- Very useful secondary gadget
- Solid armor and speed rating
Operator weaknesses:
- Aside from the ability to make entry holes, her gameplay is very self-centric
- Reload time (if player chooses the LMG-E)
- Very rough recoil (if player chooses the M762)
Jager (S-Tier Roamer, Area Securer)
Having grenades rain down on you is no fun. Even one stun grenade going off near you is enough to make you a free kill for the enemy. Don’t even get me started on frag grenades. Especially in high ranked matches where almost everyone knows the usual hiding spots and strong angles of defenders. Without anti-grenade gadgets, it’s basically gg. That’s why Jager is an essential part of every defending team. Not only does he neutralize enemy grenades, he effectively disables most other enemy projectiles like Hibana’s X-Kairos or Ace’s selmas. And in a very competitive game like Siege, even just one breaching tool that you’re able to neutralize is already a huge help in winning the round.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- 416-C Carbine with Red Dot, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip
- Suppressed P12 Handgun
- Barbed Wire
Operator strengths:
- Gameplay flexibility – After he puts up his ADS, he’s free to roam or anchor
- High damage guns
- Best at countering enemy projectiles
Operator weaknesses:
- Primary gun has a rough recoil – If you opt to go full damage mode on attachments
- Completely vulnerable while putting up his special gadget. So, you want to do it fast at the start of the round.
Dokkaebi (S-Tier Anti-Roamer, Intel Gatherer, Intel Denier)
Dokkaebi is one of the few operators in Siege that can perform more than one special ability. One is of course her logic bomb, which forcefully calls opponents’ mobile phones, distracting them, and most importantly, compromising their locations. The other is hacking a dead defender’s phone. Once successful, she’s able to give her whole team the whole feed of defender cameras, including Valkyrie’s blackeyes, and Maestro’s evil eyes. This makes her an S-Tier operator, because intel is a major factor in winning a match in Siege, and she’s the master when it comes to denying and gathering intel.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- Suppressed Mk 14 EBR with 3.0x Scope and Vertical Grip
- SMG-12 with Holographic Sights, Vertical Grip, and Laser Under Barrel
- Stun Grenades
Operator strengths:
- Compromising enemy locations
- Disrupting enemy rhythms
- Excels at any range
- Intel gathering
Operator weaknesses:
- Can be hard to use for newbies
- Vulnerable while hacking enemy mobile device
Wamai (S-Tier Area Securer, Anchor)
Wamai is truly an S-Tier anchor and area securer. Every tool at his disposal makes him so. First, his impact grenades can create rotation holes which are so beneficial for defenders. Second, his Keratos handgun is quite destructive and can easily create kill holes on floors or walls. And obviously, his special gadget, the Mag-NETs pull back enemy grenades and projectiles. Preventing them from damaging you or your teammates, and also disrupting the enemy’s attack rhythm. In some cases, Wamai’s Mag-NET can also get him a kill when it pulls back a frag grenade and kills the attacker that threw it instead.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- AUG A2 with Red Dot and Compensator
- Keratos .357 with Suppressor
- Impact Grenades
Operator strengths:
- Disabling enemy projectiles
- Making plays and rotation holes with the impact grenades
- Stable weapons
Operator weaknesses:
- Some enemy gadgets can’t be pulled by the Mag-NETS like Hibana’s X-Kairos
- Full potential can only be reached at the late stages of the match
- Can compromise own location when throwing out his Mag-NETS
Finka (S-Tier Back Line Support, Buffer)
The only attacking operator that can heal. And her healing ability also affects the whole team. That alone is pretty much S-Tier already. But her adrenal surge can do a lot more. It greatly buffs the whole team. Anyone in her team that is under the effects of concussion from Echo’s Yokai or Ela’s grzmot mines, will be free from the concussion effects once Finka’s adrenal surge is activated. It also improves the movement speed over barbed wires of all allies, as well as reduce the effects of tinnitus. It also makes reload times faster. And the best thing is, with the adrenal surge, Finka can revive an ally from a down-but-not-out (dbno) status from any distance, and she can revive herself from it as well.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- SPEAR .308 Assault Rifle with 2.0x Scope, Compensator, and Vertical Grip
- Gonne-6 Hand cannon
- Stun Grenades
Operator strengths:
- Great buffs for the whole team
- Healing ability
- Able to revive teammates from any distance
Operator weaknesses:
- Adrenal surge sound effect can mask sounds from enemies
- Adrenal surge also makes the screen turn a bit blue, and this can compromise vision a little bit
Thatcher (S-Tier Back Line Support, Disabler)
You know that Thatcher Is definitely S-Tier the way they ban him in every game nowadays. Well, I say “they” but if I’m starting the round as a defender, I would vote to ban him too. It just makes it a lot harder for attackers to penetrate the objective area without him. His ability to disable defender electronics gadget over a wide area is truly S-Tier. Not only can his EMP grenades disable the jammers that can block hard breaching devices, it can also disable other gadgets in the process, as long as they have electronics on them. Even Smokes’ canisters or Lesion’s gu mines.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- AR33 with 2.5x Scope, Compensator, and Vertical Grip
- P226 MK 25 with Suppressor
- Claymore
Operator strengths:
- Mass gadget disabling
- Powerful guns
- Claymore is always a strength
Operator weakness:
- Throwing the EMP grenades can compromise your own location
Thermite (S-Tier Back Line Support, Hard Breacher)
Hard breaching is an integral part of attacking in Siege. Without a hard breacher, you and your teammates will have to exert more effort and be in more dangerous angles while attempting to penetrate the objective area. That’s why Thermite is an essential operator to have especially when the defenders are defending an area which can be breached from the outside, especially now that there’s going to be Attacker Repick in the upcoming new season. Not only that, even if the defenders are defending an area where hard breach isn’t really necessary. Thermite’s powerful assault rifle, which is also quite easy to control, as well as the secondary gadgets available to him- stun grenades or smoke grenades, makes him a great teammate to have overall.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- 556XI with 2.5x Scope, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip
- M45 Meusoc with Suppressor
- Smoke Grenades
Operator strengths:
- Creation of best big effin’ entry holes
- Powerful assault rifle
Operator weaknesses:
- Location is predictable because of role
- Role is dependent on gadget disablers like Thatcher
Gridlock (S-Tier Anti-Roamer, Crowd Control, Area Denial)
In Siege, one roamer can cause a lot of problems to an attacking team, even when they’re well-coordinated. But with Gridlock, the attacking team can focus on pushing towards the objective area. Her trax stingers are probably the best anti-roamer gadget in the game. Even if the roamer can destroy them by shooting at them, that will probably be heard by the attacking team and that will be trouble for the roamer. And when the scenario is that you and your team are sure that there’s no one roaming or flanking, you can also use Gridlock’s trax stingers to deny area to the enemy, to prevent them from flanking or holding some angles.
Operator stats:
- 3 Armor
- 1 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- F90 with 2.5x Scope, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip
- Super Shorty with Laser
- Smoke Grenades
Operator strengths:
- Area denial
- Choke points creation
- Anti-roamer
Operator weaknesses:
- Slow movement
- Big build (big target)
Kaid (S-Tier Anchor, Area Securer, Anti-Hard Breach)
Kaid is really one of the most powerful anchors in the game. Not only does he have access to what is basically a sniper rifle- and a defending sniper can really mean bad news to the Attackers. Kaid is also the only defender capable of jamming hatches. Making him an extremely valuable operator especially when the Defender objective area is in the basement. Although Kaid is also being used a lot to jam walls these days especially because Thatcher is almost always banned, so Attackers are forced to use Maverick in order to destroy Mute’s or Bandit’s gadget, but Kaid’s rtilla can sometimes be really tricky for even Mav to destroy.
Operator stats:
- 3 Armor
- 1 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- TCSG12 with 2.0x Scope, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
- LFP586 with Laser
- Barbed Wires
Operator strengths:
- High firepower
- Heavy armor
- Breaching cancellation
Operator weaknesses:
- Slow movement
- Limited to anchoring
Capitao (S-Tier Area Denial, Crowd Control)
A really underrated operator. People should really use him in ranked more. Capitao is an excellent operator for teamplay. His claymore can cover his back, while his smoke bombs can hinder the vision of the enemy. The player can use it to block an enemy’s strong angle in order for him and his teammates to push, and outmaneuver the defenders. His fire crossbow bolts are also one of the most effective gadgets in Siege when it comes to area denial. This makes Capitao one of the best operators to use, especially when the player is playing with a coordinated party.
Operator stats:
- 1 Armor
- 3 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- PARA-308 with 1.5x Scope, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip
- PRB92 with Suppressor
- Claymore
Operator strengths:
- Area denial
- Vision denial
- Allow his team to push
Operator weaknesses:
- Can be pretty hard to use for a beginner especially when it comes to bolt switching
- Weak armor rating
Flores (S-Tier Soft Breacher, Back Line Support, Area Denial, Crowd Control)
Flores is probably the most underrated operator in Siege right now. His ability to do soft breaching is already very useful. What’s terrifying about him is that he can force defenders out of their strong angles or hiding spots with his exploding drones, and in the process, leaving themselves vulnerable to Flores’ and his teammates' gunfire. The explosion from each of his exploding drones has the same power as a nitro cell, so unless they’re able to shoot it before it enters bulletproof mode, they’ll have no choice but to run. Effectively ceding control of the area. This ability to deny area to enemies, as well as have power over their movements, is truly an almost OP ability in Siege.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- AR33 with 1.5x Scope, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip
- GSH-18 with Suppressor
- Claymore
Operator strengths:
- Area denial
- Flushing out enemies
- Soft breaching
- Intel gathering
Operator weaknesses:
- Can be vulnerable while operating his drones
- Multitasking can be hard and complicated, especially for beginners
Smoke (S-Tier Anchor, Area Securer, Area Denial)
Controlling positions are a major factor in Siege gameplay. The team that can control the areas that matters will most likely win the round. Therefore, area denying capabilities are very valuable in this game, and Smoke has the perfect set of canisters for that. Smoke is the Defenders’ expert area denier. He can effectively halt a rush smoke plant strat, even with a Montagne leading the Attackers’ charge. This is why in competitive matches; you will almost always see Smoke being played.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- FMG-9 with 1.5x Scope and Flash Hider
- SMG-11 with Holographic, Flash Hider, Vertical Grip, and Laser
- Barbed Wire
Operator strengths:
- Area denial
- Crowd control
Operator weaknesses:
- Special gadget can also damage teammates
- FMG-9 is not a really strong gun
Ace (S-Tier Front Liner, Hard Breacher)
One of the hard breachers in the game. His special ability is sort of a mix of Hibana’s and Thermite’s. Although the hard breaches that he makes aren’t as perfect as Thermite’s, the quick hard breach creation and loud sound of his special gadget can really induce panic to the enemy. Plus, he can throw his hard breaching device from a distance, allowing him to be safe while performing his role. And unlike Thermite, he can also perform a vertical breach if the situation calls for it.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- AK-12 with 2.0x Scope, Compensator, and Vertical Grip
- P9 with Suppressor
- Claymore
Operator strengths:
- Quick hard breach
- Induces panic to enemies
- Can perform vertical hard breach as well
Operator weaknesses:
- The AK-12's recoil is pretty rough
- Hard breach most of the time still requires Ace and teammates to vault in order to enter it
Azami (S-Tier Area Denial)
Azami is the newest operator in the Siege roster, and is one of the most useful and tactical operators in the game. Therefore, earning a very early S-Tier ranking. It was actually hard to think of her weaknesses. She’ll be useful in any situation, any map, or any area. The ability to control the geometry of combat is an almost OP ability honestly, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she’ll get a nerf soon.
Operator stats:
- 2 Armor
- 2 Speed
Best weapon loadout:
- 9x19VSN with Red Dot A, Compensator, and Vertical Grip
- D-50 with Suppressor
- Impact Grenades
Operator strengths:
- Able to reshape the battlefield
- Able to fortify weak spots
- Disrupting enemy rhythm
- Operator weaknesses:
- Can used in conjunction with Mira’s special gadget
Operator weaknesses:
- The angles that her kiba barriers make can also be used by the enemy if they’re able to control the angle
- The kiba barriers can block teammate’s vision as well
A-Tier – Are really good operators, but dispensable. Therefore, not making it to the S-Tier list despite being really powerful themselves, and useful in many ways. There are maps and spots that the team will be good at even if they’re not picked. Don’t get me wrong though, these are great operators, no questions asked.
- Thorn
- Kapkan
- Valkyrie
- Sledge
- Echo
- Maverick
- Clash
- Twitch
- Jackal
- Melusi
- Iana
- Maestro
- Alibi
- Lesion
- Mute
- Castle
- Ash
- Fuze
- Bandit
- Tachanka
- Lion
- Buck
- Thunderbird
B-Tier – Good operators but even more dispensable than the A-tier ones. While they possess really good abilities and unique gadgets that could work so well in some maps and some areas, they have a lot of vulnerabilities and are quite easy to counter. While players who main these operators would perform really well in using them, it takes quite a long time to be proficient at using them.
- Mozie
- Frost
- Blitz
- Aruni
- Iana
- Osa
- Kali
- Doc
- Goyo
- Montagne
- Zero
- IQ
- Hibana
- Ying
- Rook
- Nomad
C-Tier – These are really strong operators with great move sets and special abilities, however, they’re really only powerful in certain maps and areas. For example, if your spot to defend is the Consul Office and the Meeting Room in the Consulate Map, a Mira won’t really be a good choice. A Cav would also be hampered by the consulate map because it’s narrow and small. While Glaz really only performs well in Coastline nowadays.
- Glaz
- Caveira
- Pulse
- Blackbeard
- Mira
- Warden
- Oryx
- Vigil
- Amaru
