[Top 15] R6 Best Weapon Skins That Look Freakin' Awesome

R6 Siege Top 15 Best Weapon Skins
Ten amazing weapon skins that players should use on their guns in Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 8 Season 4.2

Weapon skins are part of the appeal of Rainbow Six Siege. Obviously, it’s now common with a lot of other multiplayer shooter games, but Siege is one of the first that had this kind of system where players can choose a design on their weapons that suit their style the most.

Weapon skins in Siege can be obtained via the in-game currency called Renown, or through its cash shop using R6 Credits. It’s one of the things that players can grind for once they’ve already unlocked all the operators. And while it’s mostly just for cosmetics, some weapon skins also offer some competitive advantages.

15. USA Reganomics

The USA Reganomics is a universal skin, meaning once you buy it, you’ll be able to equip it with all of your weapons. It’s part of the reason why it deserves to be in this list, since it can be equipped to all weapons, it can be argued that it’s one of the cheapest weapon skins in the game. And while it’s quite easy to obtain, it’s one of the most aesthetically pleasing as well. That’s because it’s basically a camouflage pattern which is generally used by many military units around the world.

With this camouflage pattern, players will be able to feel like they’re real special operators which is the main theme of Siege. Another great thing about this weapon skin is that it also provides some competitive or practical use to the user. That’s because its irregular pattern could help them blend better to their surroundings and reduce visibility. It’s possible that if only the weapon that has this weapon skin is visible, opponents might mistake it for just another object in the map.

How To Get USA Reganomics:

  • From the Main Menu, click the Shop tab
  • Select Weapon Skins
  • Go to Seasonal and Universal
  • Select USA Reganomics
  • Buy it with 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown

14. Windborn Majesty

The Windborn Majesty is a skin for the D-50 handgun. The D-50 handgun is available to operators Azami, Blackbeard, Nokk, and Valkyrie, so if you get this skin, four operators will be able to benefit from it, which is quite a lot by Siege standards. While it is shared by three other operators who can also use the D-50 handgun, this weapon skin design is obviously centered around operator Azami. The golden bird and kunai on the weapon skin represents her operator design very clearly.

And that’s far from a bad thing. Azami exudes elegance and that’s clearly reflected in the design of this weapon skin. Even though its design revolves around Azami, I could think of no reason for it to not fit Blackbeard, Nokk, and Valkyrie as well. It’s definitely a skin that a player would like to show off to other players. And like the USA Reganomics above, it has an irregular pattern which is always good for camouflage, especially when trying to blend to surroundings with many items littered around.

How To Get Windborn Majesty:

  • From the Main Menu, click the Shop tab
  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select D-50
  • Click Windborn Majesty
  • Buy it with 480 R6 Credits or 20,000 Renown

13. Fnatic 2020

The G36C assault rifle is one of the most popular weapons in Siege, and even in other Ubisoft shooter titles. It’s usually the choice of most Ash and Iana players for their primary weapon. That’s why it feels very rewarding to run it with a really good weapon skin. That way, when you’re using Ash or Iana, teammates and opponents alike will be able to see that you have a really cool and badass skin for the G36C, especially when you’re the MPV by the end of the match.

The design of this weapon skin is both badass and cool because it combines a dark shade with the bright color orange. It feels very modern which fits the modern urban warfare of Siege. As its name implies, this weapon skin is dedicated to the esports team, Fnatic, and as the in-game description says, it can only be purchased via R6 Credits but 50% of the proceeds will go to the featured R6 Siege esports team. So not only is this skin one of the best-looking weapon skins in the game, it’s also a great way to support the Siege esports scene, particularly Fnatic of course.

How To Get Fnatic 2020:

  • From the Main Menu, click the Shop tab
  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select G36C
  • Click Fnatic 2020
  • Buy it with 300 R6 Credits

12. Requin

The weapon skins that I usually prefer are those that look tactical because they fit the main theme of Siege so much more, but there are some really unique and flashy designs that I can’t help but recommend. One of those weapon skins is the Requin which is a weapon skin for the F2 assault rifle. The F2 is unique to Twitch and despite all the nerfs, remains as her most popular weapon. So if you’re playing Twitch, you’d most likely use the F2 as your primary as well, and if you have the Requin skin, you should really run the F2 with it.

That’s because the Requin is definitely something cool to show off to your teammates and enemies alike. It’s shark–themed so it’s perfect for a Rainbow Six operator because they’re Apex operators, regardless of what Deimos says – If you know, you know. And even though it looks quite flashy, its blue color isn’t so vibrant so it actually won’t have any negative effect when it comes to blending into your surroundings. If anything, on spots where there’s a lot of objects lying around, it could look like just one of those items.

How To Get Requin:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select F2
  • Click Requin
  • Buy it with 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown

11. Urban Scourge

Urban Scourge is a unique weapon skin for the Para-308 which is available to operators Brava and Capitao. Brava is one of the newest operators in the game but this weapon skin and the assault rifle it’s featured in has been in the game with Capitao for a long time, and if you read Capitao’s background, you’d know that he was involved in missions against drug syndicates in the favelas of Brazil. That’s why this weapon skin and its name fits the Para-308 so well.

It just suits Capitao’s background story really well. It has a simple dark brown and gray color scheme which is perfect for camouflage in urban warfare. If you think about it, the operations that Capitao was in in the favelas of Brazil were probably not so different from the usual Siege match wherein operators have to fight in mostly close to medium range and in an urban environment. That’s why this weapon skin isn’t just good looking, it could help when it comes to camouflage as well.

How To Get Urban Scourge:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select Para-308
  • Click Urban Scourge
  • Buy it with 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown

10. Modern USA Camo

The Modern USA Camo is another universal skin that I highly recommend. As its name implies, its main theme is camouflage, and since Siege is a highly tactical game, stealth helps a lot in having the advantage over your opponents. Obviously, if you’re equipped with good camouflage skins, you’ll be able to blend with your surroundings better, making it even a bit harder for enemies to perceive you immediately. That’s why the irregular patterns of camouflage skins like this one really helps.

The good thing is that the Modern USA Camo isn’t only good for practical use or having even a bit of competitive edge. It’s also aesthetically pleasing, and no matter what weapon you run it with, I’m sure that weapon will not look ugly. Its base color is dark blue and it has white camouflage patterns. This color scheme is great for camouflage on a lot of dark corners of the map, especially on spots where there’s a lot of objects on display. With this weapon skin, an opponent might think that your weapon is just another item in the map.

How To Get Modern USA Camo:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select Seasonal and Universal
  • Click Modern USA Camo
  • Buy it with 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown

9. Autumn Hunt

Just by looking at it, one might think that it’s one of those special skins that can only be obtained by paying real money, a.k.a. R6 Credits. However, this is actually obtainable through Renown, and that’s really cool for people who don't like using real money in games. The Autumn Hunt is a unique skin for the POF-9 assault rifle which is available to operator Sens, and just like Sens, the Autumn Hunt weapon skin looks very unique and has a flashy aesthetic.

Its color scheme is a mix of black, dark green, light-brown, and orange. Its orange is the color that really catches the eye and makes the weapon look cool, but in terms of visibility, I wouldn’t worry too much. This weapon skin won’t make you more visible to your opponents especially because the color scheme, around its top part actually resembles a camouflage pattern. So while it may look quite flashy, it could actually even help players blend in to their surroundings.

How To Get Autumn Hunt:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select POF-9
  • Click Autumn Hunt
  • Buy it with 480 R6 Credits or 20,000 Renown

8. G2 Esports 2021

This is one of the flashiest weapon skins in this list and like I said in one of the entries above, I don’t usually recommend flashy looking skins because most of them don’t really fit the tactical nature of Siege. However, there are a few ones like the G2 Esports 2021 that actually goes well with the spec ops theme of the game while also being flashy or even vibrant. The G2 Esports 2021 is a weapon skin for the SMG-12 machine pistol so that means it can be used by Dokkaebi, Vigil, and Warden.

The SMG-12 is a secondary weapon, so most of the time, it won’t be what’s on the ready when you’re playing those operators. But once you whip out your SMG-12 and it has the G2 Esports 2021 weapon skin, guaranteed that whoever’s viewing your screen, be it your dead teammates or an enemy looking at their death cam, will look in envy. That’s because the design is both really cool and badass. And as its name implies, it's a skin from the Siege Esports scene, buying it is one way to support the game because you’ll be supporting its pro-league scene which does a lot to advertise Siege.

How To Get G2 Esports 2021:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select SMG-12
  • Click G2 Esports 2021
  • Buy it with 300 R6 Credits

7. Steppe Camo

Glaz is one of the only two dedicated snipers in the game, and while the other one, which is Kali, has heavier firepower than him, in my opinion, Glaz’s OTs-03 is still the best sniper rifle in the game. That’s why it feels very rewarding to Glaz mains like me to have a great looking skin for his unique designated marksman rifle. And for that, the Steppe Camo is probably the best. That’s because as its name implies, it puts a camouflage pattern on the weapon and it doesn’t just look cool and badass, it provides some competitive edge as well.

That’s because its irregular camouflage patterns and color scheme could help the player when it comes to blending in with the surroundings, especially in maps with a lot of wood or in spots with a lot of items. Apart from its camouflage pattern, it has a light-brown color scheme which really fits the urban modern warfare theme of Siege. It’s one of the most expensive weapon skins in the game and honestly, that’s not surprising, because it really is one of the best, if not the best skin that you can have for Glaz’s OTs-03 marksman rifle.

How To Get Steppe Camo:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select OTs-03
  • Click Steppe Camo
  • Buy it with 480 R6 Credits or 20,000 Renown

6. HK Police

Skins that fit the featured operator’s background will always have plus points in my book. It just adds a lot of immersion to the game, and when I’m more immersed, I feel like I can put more effort into it. The HK Police weapon skin is available to the T-5 SMG which used to be unique to operator Lesion but is now also available to operator Oryx. Regarding what I mentioned earlier about it fitting the featured operator’s background, it’s because if you read Lesion’s profile, you’d know that he used to be part of the Hong Kong Police.

I particularly love the chinese characters that can be seen on the weapon and they’re in orange color so they’re quite easy to see. It’s a cool homage to Lesion’s heritage. Of course, Oryx’s backstory doesn’t have anything to do with this, because he’s from a different country, but as for any competitive edge, this weapon skin does provide a bit. That’s because despite some parts which have the color orange on them, most of the weapon’s parts are just colored with a metallic light brown. Because of that, this weapon skin would be good for blending in with many backdrops in the game.

How To Get HK Police:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select T-5 SMG
  • Click HK Police
  • Buy it with 480 R6 Credits or 20,000 Renown

5. Elevate 2021

If you’re going for a flashy weapon skin, might as well go all out, and for a flashy – very different vibe than the dark spec ops vibes that Siege has, is there a better weapon skin than the Elevate 2021? It puts a really cool paint job on the Vector .45 ACP reminiscent of the paint jobs on drag racing cars. It even has a waifu in it which obviously a lot of Siege players like. If you have this weapon skin, guaranteed that you’ll really want to show it off to both your teammates and enemies.

Just like some that are featured in this article, the Elevate 2021 is an Esports weapon skin, so it can only be bought with R6 Credits. And I know, I know, most gamers despise microtransactions, but the beauty of Esports weapon skins in R6 Siege is that half of the proceeds go to the teams that are featured. That really helps the Siege pro-league a lot which in turn helps the game overall because pro-league is one of the best advertisements for any multiplayer game like Siege.

How To Get Elevate 2021:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select Vector .45 ACP
  • Click Elevate 2021
  • Buy it with 300 R6 Credits

4. Hinomaru

As mentioned in one of the entries above, I always enjoy skins, not just weapon skins, but skins in general, that pays tribute to the featured operator’s background. The Hinomaru is a unique weapon skin to Echo’s MP5SD which only he can use. Just by looking at its design, it’s very obvious that it’s inspired by Japan’s national flag. Actually, if you look up the meaning of Hinomaru, you’d find out that it’s basically another term for the flag of Japan and has a literal meaning of Circle of The Sun.

The MP5SD is already one of the most good-looking unique guns in Siege and that’s probably because of its integrated suppressor. Adding a unique weapon skin like the Hinomaru on top of that just adds another layer of coolness and badassery, especially, as I said, it’s a homage to Echo’s roots. As for its color scheme, it’s mostly white but not the kind of bright light that would attract the attention of your enemies. It will actually do well in blending with a lot of white backdrops in the game like the white walls in Coastline.

How To Get Hinomaru:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select MP5SD
  • Click Hinomaru
  • Buy it with 240 R6 Credits or 10,000 Renown

3. SSG 2021

Yellow and black just goes so well together, especially in games with a modern feel to it, and like we all know, Rainbow Six Siege is set in a modern warfare world so this color scheme really fits right in. It exudes a badass and cool vibes to the weapon and that’s why this weapon is so high up in this list. Like some of the weapon skins that were featured above, the SSG 2021 is a weapon skin from Siege’s pro-league scene and as you’ve probably noticed by now, most of the Esports skins in Siege are of really high quality.

Of course, like all the other Esports skins, you can only obtain the SSG 2021 by paying real money, a.k.a. R6 Credits or see if it’s available in the Marketplace. I don’t usually spend real money on a game that I’ve already bought, but if I’m going to, the SSG 2021 is one of the skins that I would buy. It just looks really good on the SC3000K which is operator Zero’s unique weapon. Half of the earnings from this skin will also go to the featured professional R6 Siege team, so it goes a long way in supporting the game’s pro-league scene.

How To Get SSG 2021:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select SC3000K
  • Click SSG 2021
  • Buy it with 300 R6 Credits

2. Dust Up

If you’re running Gridlock with her default skin, you’d immediately know that this weapon skin fits her so well. Dust Up is a unique weapon skin to Gridlock’s F90 which is the preferred primary weapon of Gridlock players who want a lighter, more convenient weapon to use than the alternative which is the M249 Saw. As its name implies, Dust Up design makes the weapon look rather dusty, which I know will make some players think, why is it on this list then and why is it so high in the rankings?

Well, because it has a unique aesthetic appeal to it. The weapons of spec ops like Gridlock aren’t really supposed to be stylish anyway. They’re supposed to be practical and if possible, even allow them to blend with their surroundings better. With the latter part, Dust UP can really help because it has some camouflage design at its bottom part, and its overcall color scheme can make it so that opponents can easily mistake it for just another item in the game when Gridlock’s surroundings is also full of other objects.

How To Get Dust Up:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select F90
  • Click Dust Up
  • Buy it with 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Renown

1. Diamond

Diamond is topping this list because it doesn’t only look great, it helps with competitiveness as well. First of all, it’s the most expensive weapon skin in the game. It costs 100,000 Renown, and you can’t even take a shortcut by buying it with R6 Credits. It’s something that you’d really need to grind for, but when you do get it, it would be well-worth the effort because it will be usable to all of your weapons since it’s a universal skin. Even though everyone can obtain it with just enough effort, it’s still one of the rarest skins in Siege.

That’s why it’s always fun to flex it to your teammates and enemies, especially when you get to be the MVP at the end of the match. As for its competitive advantage, right off the bat, one might think that it will be easier for enemies to see you with it because it’s shiny. But the thing is, because it’s quite reflective and shiny, it often matches the color scheme of the surroundings, so it may actually reduce your visibility to your enemies. When surrounded by a lot of other random items in the game, a weapon with the Diamond skin may end up looking like just one of those random items.

How To Get Diamond:

  • Go to Weapon Skins
  • Select Seasonal and Universal
  • Click Diamond
  • Buy it with 100,000 Renown
