Frost’s pick rate has remained relatively high throughout the years even though there's really nothing flashy about her gameplay. In fact, her special gadget, the Welcome Mat, is very simple, and quite crude. However, despite its simple mechanics, it remains as one of the most troublesome special gadgets in the game. That’s because if you don’t watch your step when Frot is present in the defending team, you could be neutralized easily, because once you get trapped in her Welcome Mat, you won’t be able to do anything unless a teammate comes to rescue you. On top of that, Frost has an arsenal of weapons and gadgets for finishing her enemies even without trapping them.
5. Super 90 with Reflex B + Mk1 9mm with Suppressor + Bulletproof Camera
This loadout setup is for players who excel at using shotguns, and even for those who do not usually run with shotguns as their primary, the Super 90 is a very viable weapon for Frost. That’s especially the case when you’re anchoring with her, because when anchoring, it’s much easier to lure opponents into close quarters combat. That’s also why the generic gadget for this loadout setup is the bulletproof camera, because with the bulletproof camera, you’ll have an extra way of gathering intel, and as the Frost player, you’ll have a good idea where the enemies are and when to engage them with your Super 90 shotgun.
The Super 90 shotgun has a good range and heavy damage per pellet, so it can finish off an enemy at its optical range with just one shot. It’s also great as a utility for opening up rotation holes inside the objective spot or for creating more lines of sight like head-high holes or foot holes. And since your primary weapon in this loadout setup will not have silenced gunshots, it's important for you to run with the suppressor on your Mk1 9mm handgun. That way, you’ll be able to shoot attacker drones or claymore silently when you have to flank or roam.

- Close range superiority due to the Super 90 shotgun’s heavy damage per pellet
- Having a clear and wide view while aiming-down-sight with the Super 90 shotgun because of the Reflex B 1.0x sight
- Being able to shoot attacker gadgets like drones or claymores without giving away your position through the use of the suppressed Mk1 9mm handgun
- Being able to rework the map to your advantage by creating rotation holes or more lines of sight with the Super 90 shotgun
- Having an extra way of gathering intel in the bulletproof camera which can also shoot EMP blasts that disable enemy electronic devices

4. 9mm C1 with Scope 1.5x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + ITA12S with Red Dot A and Laser + Bulletproof Camera
Frost’s unique weapon, the 9mm C1 is one of the best weapons in the game because it features heavy firepower, has a scope 1.5x sight, a wide variety of attachments to choose from, and most importantly, has a very low stock recoil. It could be said that its only downside is its rate of fire, which to me isn't that slow in the first place. But because of it very low stock recoil, the user has more freedom when it come to choosing the attachments that she will use on the 9mm C1. That means, even if she equips non-recoil providing attachments, the user wouldn’t be hurt by it that much.
That's why for this loadout setup’s barrel attachment, you will have the suppressor which doesn't add any recoil control benefits to the 9mm C1. What it adds instead are great stealth benefits like being able to shoot enemies without them receiving a directional threat indicator of where your shots are coming from, removal of the 9mm C1’s muzzle flash, and the silencing of its gunshots. With those stealth benefits, it’d be much harder for enemies to pinpoint your location, and you would still be sure to control the 9mm C1’s recoil very well because of the presence of the vertical grip attachment.
Excels in:
- Being able to shoot enemies without them receiving a directional threat indicator of where the shot are coming from
- Hiding the 9mm C1’s muzzle flash, thus, making it harder for enemies to detect where you are through visual cues
- Dampening of the 9mm C1’s gunshot sound, making it harder for enemies to pinpoint your location through that particular sound cue.
- Maintaining a high amount of recoil control with the 9mm C1 because of the vertical grip attachment
- Being able to rework the map to your advantage by creating rotation holes and more lines of sight with the ITA12S shotgun
- Having an extra way of gathering intel with the bulletproof camera which can also disable enemy electronic gadgets through its EMP blasts

3. 9mm C1 with Scope 1.5x, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip + ITA12S with Red Dot A and Laser + Deployable Shield
The flash hider barrel attachment and the angled grip are great partners because the flash hider provides a great amount of recoil control to the 9mm C1 while the angled grip would provide the user with better speed when it comes to going into aim-down-sight stance. So this loadout setup provides a good balance between recoil control and speed benefits. Even though the angled grip has been nerfed and the user won’t be able to go into aim-down-sight stance a fast as before, it’s still a valuable attachment because those extra few milliseconds matter a lot in Siege, especially when you’re not sacrificing a lot in terms of recoil.
This loadout setup is great for holding down an angle, not just because the user will be able to go into aim-down-sight stance with the 9mm C1 fast, but because of the extra cover that the deployable shield will provide. With the deployable shield, especially when supported by anti-projectile special gadgets like Wamai’s or Jager’s, it will be very hard for attackers to push that particular angle. As for the secondary weapon, the ITA12S shotgun will allow Frost to rework the map to the defending team’s advantage by creating rotation holes and more lines of sight for strafing enemies.

- Maintaining a high amount of recoil control on the 9mm C1 through the use of the flash hider barrel attachment
- Being able to go into aim-down-sight stance faster than normal through the use of the angled grip attachment
- Being able to rework the map to the defending team’s advantage with the use of the ITA12S shotgun

- Lessening the amount of visual cues that enemies could react to with the flash hider removing the 9mm C1’s muzzle flash.

2. 9mm C1 with Scope 1.5x, Extended Barrel, and Angled Grip + ITA12S with Red Dot A and Laser + Deployable Shield
This loadout presents a more old school attachment setup for Frost because it used to be that the only available barrel attachments to the 9mm C1 are the suppressor and the extended barrel, and the only grip available to it is the angled one. Despite its attachments adding no recoil control benefit to the weapon, old school Frost players had no trouble holding the recoil of the 9mm C1. Now we’re going to the tricky part, because there has been a recent recoil progression overhaul which made it harder for players to control the recoil of guns, especially for longer sprays.
It was an across the board overhaul, however, the 9mm C1 wasn’t affected that much because of its relatively low rate of fire. So even with that recoil progression overhaul and not having any attachment that adds recoil control benefit to the 9mm C1, the user would still be able to control it very well, even during longer sprays. And the good thing about that is that the angled grip, as discussed above, will let the user go into aim-down-sight stance faster than normal, and the extended barrel attachment will maximize the weapon’s damage output and potential by greatly reducing its range damage drop-off.

- Being able to perform the deployable shield + Welcome Mat combo by putting a Frost Welcome Mat behind a deployable shield

This is the best loadout for Frost because the suppressor on the 9mm C1 will allow her to shoot her enemies without providing them a directional threat indicator of where her shots are coming from. It will also hide the weapon’s muzzle flash and greatly dampen its gunshot sound, so with this loadout, it will be much harder for enemies to immediately pinpoint Frost’s location even while she's shooting them. This is very important for Frost who can also perform the role of a roamer or flanker. And since the suppressor does not reduce the weapon’s damage anymore, there’s really no more drawback to using it aside from it not adding any recoil control benefit.
But since the 9mm C1's stock recoil is very manageable even without the presence of attachments that provide more recoil control, the user will still be able to control the gun well. With the angled grip, the user will be able to go into an aim-down-sight stance faster than normal, meaning she will be able to aim at enemies faster. This is always great to have for guns like the 9mm C1 that has very low recoil. As for the secondary weapon, the ITA12S is a great utility for creating rotation holes or more lines of sight. And if Frost is roaming, it can be used to destroy unreinforced hatches for a quick escape when enemies begin hunting her down.

- Reducing the amount of visual cues that enemies could react to when determining Frost’s location by hiding the 9mm C1’s muzzle flash

- Being able to create rotation holes, lines of sight, or destroy unreinforced hatches through the use of the ITA12 shotgun
- Being able to hold down an angle more effectively through the extra cover that the deployable shield will provide
