[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Melusi Loadouts That Are Excellent

Top 5 Best Melusi Loadouts in R6 Siege
The five best loadouts for operator Melusi in Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 9 Season 1

It’s time to take another look and review the best loadout setups for each operator because Operation Deadly Omen is practically almost like a new Siege, especially when it comes to loadouts. That’s because Year 9 Season 1 came with huge and many changes to attachments and weapons.

The huge changes that came with Operation Deadly Omen affected practically all operators, and in this article, we’re going to discuss the best loadout setups for Melusi in the current Siege meta, which trust me is very different even from just one season ago. But I think that Melusi players will really like these changes to the game.

5. Super 90 with Reflex B and Laser + RG15 with Suppressor and Laser + Bulletproof Camera

Melusi is one of the best crowd-control operators in the game because of her gadget, the Banshee Sonic Defense. She has three Banshees and each one of them acts like a proximity mine whereas when an enemy gets inside their radius, they’ll start releasing a signal which severely slows down any enemy inside of it. It also emits a loud sound which acts as an early warning device for defenders like Melusi. And since she has three Banshees, she can place them in three strategic locations around the objective spot.

With that knowledge, you’re probably already thinking that the Banshees have a great synergy with shotguns like the Super 90. That’s because when Melusi knows that an enemy is being slowed down by one of her Banshees, she can go in and pepper that enemy with shotgun shots while they’re being severely slowed down. That’s also why for this loadout setup, I picked the bulletproof camera as Melusi’s generic gadget. With it, she’ll have eyes on at least one of her Banshees, and she’ll know for sure when an enemy is being trapped by its slow effects.

Excels in:

  • Having superiority in close range because of the Super 90 shotgun as Melusi’s primary weapon. It shoots eight pellets per shot, and their spread is tighter on aim-down-sights stance
  • Being able to go into aim-down-sights faster than normal due to the laser attachment on Melusi’s Super 90 shotgun which is important because ADS will tighten the shotgun’s pellet spread
  • The Reflex B 1.0x sight will provide Melusi with a clear view of the surroundings and front view because of its small frame design which is perfect for shotguns like the Super 90
  • The RG15 with a suppressor will allow Melusi to silently shoot enemy gadgets as well as enemies beyond the optimal reach of the Super 90 shotgun. It also has a great sight for pinpoint shooting.
  • The bulletproof camera provides another means for Melusi and her teammates to gather intel on enemy positions and it has a great synergy when placed for keeping an eye on one of Melusi’s Banshees.

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - Super 90 with Reflex B and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - RG15 with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Bulletproof Camera

4. MP5 with Magnified B Scope, Suppressor, Vertical Grip, and Laser + RG15 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Bulletproof Camera

As much as I love the suppressor barrel attachment, because of all the huge changes from Operation Deadly Omen, it’s time for a closer inspection of it and how it fits the current meta. For operator Melusi at least, I’m putting this loadout setup with a suppressed MP5 at a pretty low rank. That’s because Melusi doesn’t really need much stealth benefits. The suppressor removes the muzzle flash and directional threat indicator from the weapon’s gunshots as well as greatly silences them.

Those stealth benefits don't really add much for Melusi because she’s usually an anchor. But there would surely be times when she’ll have to shoot enemies at long range, especially now that she’s able to equip her MP5 with a magnified B scope, formerly known as the scope 2.5x. And in those situations that this loadout setup will excel. The vertical grip will be a much needed attachment because without at least one recoil control providing attachment, the MP5’s weapon kick can be a real challenge to hold down.

Excels in:

  • Having a weapon in the MP5 submachine gun that can fire shots without a directional threat indicator and muzzle flash, as well as silent shots due to the suppressor on its barrel.
  • The laser on Melusi’s MP5 submachine gun allowing her to go into aim-down-sights faster than normal which is important now that the devs made ADS speed for practically all weapons much slower
  • Maintaining a good amount of recoil control on Melusi’s MP5 submachine gun due to the presence of the vertical grip attachment which lowers the weapon’s vertical recoil by 20%
  • Having great recoil control on the RG15 handgun because of the muzzle brake, and having good aim-down-sights speed because of the laser attachment on it
  • Having an extra camera for the whole defending team which can provide a wide view of the surroundings, has a thermal vision, and can shoot EMP bursts that can disable enemy electronics

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - MP5 with Magnified B Scope, Suppressor, Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - RG15 with Muzzle Brake and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Bulletproof Camera

3. MP5 with Magnified B Scope, Flash Hider, Angled Grip, and Laser + RG15 with Suppressor and Laser + Impact Grenade

A lot of people in the Siege subreddit feel like the +20% reload speed boost from the angled grip attachment isn’t really that useful, but I say that it depends on the operator. Since Melusi is a crowd-control operator, the increase in reload speed will be greatly beneficial to her in dealing with high traffic situations. To those who aren’t familiar with Siege slang, high traffic situations mean that there are more than one enemy at the same time. And in those situations, being able to reload fast is definitely a great perk.

With a fast reload speed, Melusi can go back into action quickly and spray at her opponents with her MP5 submachine gun. On the other hand, the MP5’s recoil can be quite challenging to hold down without at least one recoil control providing attachment, so for that, we have the flash hider which will greatly lower the vertical recoil of the weapon. The magnified B scope which provides 2.5x zoom might be intimidating to use for beginners but I encourage them to get used to this level of zoom early on because it’s a big boost in accuracy.

Excels in:

  • Having a fast reload speed on Melusi’s MP5 submachine gun due to the angled grip attachment which now adds 20% reload speed on weapons and is great for high traffic situations
  • Maintaining a good amount of vertical recoil control on Melusi’s MP5 submachine gun due to the flash hider barrel attachment which will also hide the weapon’s muzzle flash
  • The laser on Melusi’s MP5 will allow her to go into aim-down-sights faster than normal, and that’s the same case for her RG15 handgun. That’s very important because the devs have made the ADS speed in all guns much slower
  • The suppressed RG15 handgun will allow Melusi to shoot enemy gadgets with much less chance of alerting them. This could become handy when Melusi is flanking and wants to surprise enemies from behind.
  • Melusi having access to two impact grenades per round will allow her to quickly create rotation or escape holes on unreinforced walls or hatches. They’re also a great counter for operator Osa.

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - MP5 with Magnified B Scope, Flash Hider, Angled Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - RG15 with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Impact Grenade

2. MP5 with Magnified B Scope, Extended Barrel, Vertical Grip, and Laser + RG15 with Suppressor and Laser + Bulletproof Camera

The MP5 submachine gun is a good primary weapon because of its fast rate of fire, decent recoil, and good magazine capacity. The problem though is that its stopping power is on the lower side. That’s why this loadout setup is very viable for Melusi, because the extended barrel on her MP5 submachine gun will increase its firepower because this attachment adds more damage to weapons as well as decrease their range damage drop-off. So overall, the damage of weapons with an extended barrel will be good.

Since the extended barrel won’t be adding recoil control on the weapon, it’s important to equip the MP5 with a vertical grip. That way, even though the vertical grip has been nerfed, Melusi will still be able to have good control on her primary weapon. Of course, the laser is an always important part of the arsenal because without it, going into aim-down-sights will be slow, and we all know that in Siege, one can only achieve good accuracy when in aim-down-sights stance. The magnified B scope is also a good partner for the extended barrel because they both really increase Melusi’s optimal range.

Excels in:

  • Having increased firepower on Melusi’s MP5 submachine gun because of the extended barrel increasing its damage per shot and reducing the weapon's range damage drop-off
  • Still having a good vertical recoil control on Melusi’s MP5 submachine gun because of the presence of the vertical grip attachment which provides +20% vertical recoil on weapons
  • Melusi being able to go into aim-down-sights stance faster than normal due to the laser attachment which is very important now that the devs the default ADS speed much slower
  • The suppressed RG15 handgun will allow Melusi to silently shoot enemy gadgets. It’s also great for medium to long-range shooting due to its romeo1 reflex sight which has a simple center dot reticle
  • The bulletproof camera provides another means for Melusi and her teammates to gather intel on enemies. It has thermal vision so it can detect enemies through smoke, and it can also shoot EMP burst that can disable enemy electronics

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - MP5 with Magnified B Scope, Extended Barrel, Vertical Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - RG15 with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Bulletproof Camera

1. MP5 with Magnified B Scope, Flash Hider, Horizontal Grip, and Laser + RG15 with Suppressor and Laser + Impact Grenade

This loadout setup is the best for Melusi because the 5% movement speed boost from the horizontal grip on the MP5 submachine gun is great for Melusi in particular. That’s because she’s a 1-speed operator. That’s the slowest speed for operators in Siege, but because of her crowd-control role and special gadget, it would be ideal for her to be as fast as she can when responding to enemies being slowed down by her Banshees. That’s why even the 5% speed boost from the horizontal grip would be a big plus for her.

It will also make it so that she would be slightly harder to hit. As for recoil control, she’ll still be able to handle her MP5’s weapon kick well due to the flash hider attachment on its barrel which will greatly lower its vertical recoil. The suppressor on the RG15 handgun on the other hand will allow her to shoot silently and therefore with much less chance of alerting enemies. That’s a handy perk to have when Melusi is flanking and is trying to avoid alerting enemies to her presence.

Excels in:

  • The 5% speed boost from the horizontal grip attachment will allow Melusi to respond to enemies being slowed down by her Banshees faster, and she’ll also be a bit harder to hit
  • The flash hider on the MP5 submachine gun will be the attachment that will provide the vertical recoil control that’ll allow Melusi to stabilize its gunshots and be more accurate in shooting
  • The magnified B scope will provide Melusi with a 2.5x zoom on his MP5 submachine gun which will be great for accuracy regardless of range. It also has a great arrow tip reticle which promotes pinpoint shooting
  • Even though it’s just a secondary weapon, the RG15 is great for shooting enemies, especially at medium range, due to its romeo1 reflex sight which is great for pinpoint accuracy.
  • The two impact grenades in Melusi’s arsenal will allow her to quickly create rotation holes which are great for flanking or escaping enemies. They’re also great for countering shield operators like Osa.

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - MP5 with Magnified B Scope, Flash Hider, Horizontal Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - RG15 with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Impact Grenade
