Alternate Recipes are an optional, but important part of Satisfactory. T, since they let you craft your existing unlocked items things in different ways. This allows you to use the same existing infrastructure to make a wider variety of items, or gives you an excuse to make a more diverse factory.

There are over almost 100 Alternate Recipes in Satisfactory, and they all provide something a little different to the playing experience. They all unlock at different times throughout your play- through. These are the best based on tier.

Tier 1

The HUB sitting out in the open of the Grass Plains.

Starting at the very beginning, you get a few alternate recipes. Now that you have access to the 3 basic resources (iron, copper, and limestone), you can work on automating their products.

In the early game, you won’t have any of the later transport technology. If you want to have more range with less space, these will be helpful.

  • Iron Wire: 12.5 Iron Bars/minute make 22.5 Wire/minute
  • Iron Alloy Ingot; 20 Iron Ore and 20 Copper Ore/minute make 50 Iron Bars/minute
  • Copper Alloy Ingot: 20 Iron Ore and 20 Copper Ore/minute make 50 Copper Bars/minute

Tier 2

A pretty solid-looking starter base around the HUB.

While you’re still in the early game, Tier 2 is where Satisfactory really kicks into gear. It’s generally still a simple time, so you’ll want to keep making the basics easier for yourself later.

A lot of these recipes are more complicated, but still not to the degree of the mid-game degree. These are different ways of making these mid-early components.

  • Bolted Frame: 7.5 Reinforced Iron Plates and 140 Screws/minute make 5 Modular Frames/minute
  • Copper Rotor: 22.5 Copper Sheet 195 Screws/minute make 11.3 Rotors/minute
  • Cast Screw: 12.5 Iron Ingot/minute make 50 Screws/minute

Tier 3

Now you’re really getting into the meat of Satisfactory. You have access to automated power, steel alloy, and so much new tech! Now you’ll want to make this new time simpler for your infrastructure.

These recipes all allow you to allocate more of your iron into steel. You can use these 3 recipes to make iron products with steel.

  • Steel Rod: 12 Steel Ingots/minute make 48 Iron Rods/minute
  • Steel Rotor: 10 Steel Pipes and 30 Wire/minute make 5 rotors/min
  • Steel Screw: 5 Steel Beams/minute make 260 Screws/minute

Tier 4

This is the last bit of transition before early-game becomes mid-game. Because ofyou that, you’ll want to start seriously be beefing up your infrastructure a fair bit.

A great way to make your infrastructure stronger is to diversify where you send the products you make. The best way of doing that is through these basic alternate recipes.

  • Stitched Iron Plate: 18.75 Iron Plates and 37.5 Wire/minute make 5.625 Reinforced Iron Plates/minute
  • Steel Cast Plate: 15 Iron Ingots and 15 Steel Ingots/minute make 45 Iron Plates/minute
  • Steeled Frame: 2 Reinforced Iron Plates and 10 Steel Pipes/minute make 3 Modular Frames/minute

  • Steel Canister: 40 Steel Ingots/minute make 40 Canisters/minute
  • Recycled Rubber: 30 Plastic and 30 Fuel/minute make 60 Rubber/minute
  • Recycled Plastic: 30 Rubber and 30 Fuel/minute make 60 Plastic/minute

This is the time that smaller, more compact technology starts to come into play. You’ll want a way to make them simpler for your infrastructure.

Computers make their big debut around this time, and they’re going to continue being important. You should make sure to make a lot of them, and the same for their components.

  • Caterium Computer: 15 Circuit Boards, 52.5 Quickwire, and 22.5 Rubber/minute make 3.75 Computers/minute
  • Heavy Encased Frame: 7.5 Modular Frames, 9.375 Encased Industrial Beams, 33.75 Steel Pipes, and 20.625 Concrete/minute make 2.8125 Heavy Modular Frames/minute
  • Electrode Circuit Board: 20 Rubber and 40 Petroleum Coke/minute make 5 Circuit Boards/minute
