[Top 5] Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Best Builds
If you're a gamer, you know that there's a better way to do something. An optimal path to follow. It's just a matter of finding it. Sometimes, it's practicing a game mechanic for hours. Other times, it's how you use your skill points. That's how it is for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, at least at the beginning. By the time you reach the final boss, you can have the skill trees’ abilities unlocked. But, during the early and mid-game, it's important that you think before choosing your skills.
It takes time to level up and earn skill points, so you’ll want to think before spending them. If you know you’ve got a more aggressive playstyle, you’ll want to spend those points in the Lightsaber Tree and consider finding the double-bladed lightsaber early. If you came here for the awesome Force powers, you’ll want to branch out in that direction. And players who don’t want to take any damage at all will want to put skill points into Survival above the rest. By around mid-game, you’ll have played enough to figure out what your style is, and you’ll have around twenty skill points to spend. Keeping in mind the different playstyles, here are five ways you can use those skill points.
5. The Single Blade
The Single Blade build gets you up-close and personal with enemies by focusing on lightsaber combat. Stormtroopers don’t stand a chance as you masterfully wield your single-bladed lightsaber. Sometimes, you might feel weak with this build, so make sure to dodge, block, and parry. Skills such as Superior Blocking and Agile Deflection will get you out of sticky situations. The Force abilities are at their rawest. You’ll want to use them when you’re in a pinch. Try a simple Force Slow to single-out a Stormtrooper, or Mash Push a group of three off a cliff to even your odds. Large groups of Stormtroopers or monsters are your worst enemies. The Single Blade thrives on one-on-one fights. Pick your battles wisely, Jedi.

Your lightsaber skills are enough that you don’t have to worry about too much in combat. Health shouldn’t concern you too much when you have Personalized Stims and Enhanced Survival Skills. Each of the basic Force powers are upgraded, so have fun sending Stormtroopers flying. Balance is key for any Jedi.

If you’re in desperate need of a double-bladed lightsaber, then the Double-Blades build is for you. You’ll need to find the double-blade upgrade early on, but that’s easy enough to do after clearing the Tomb of Eilram on Zeffo. Once you’ve got that, you’re able to unleash a dervish of death upon the galaxy. Stormtroopers to your left or right and behind you aren’t out of reach. Skills like Whirlwind Throw or Repulse are perfect for situations when you might be overwhelmed. Add Switch Attack to your melee to swap between a single or double-blade with ease. You’ll never be overwhelmed by too many Stormtroopers again with the Double-Blades build. The Force might be your ally, but a double-bladed lightsaber is your best friend.

- To the left of the cave’s entrance is a bridge you’re now able to pull down with Force Pull
- Cross the bridge and follow the path to the Abandoned Workshop
- Inside, you’ll swim to some vines, climb up these
- Continue up the path until you reach a hallway in the stone wall
- Open the door with BD-1’s Scomp Link
- Inside, there is a workbench where you can upgrade your lightsaber to the double-blade version
2. The Force
The Force is your ally, and you’ll take full advantage of that with this build. Manipulate the battlefield in your favor using upgraded Force powers. Empowered Slows lets you avoid unblockable attacks or get a better angle to hit from behind. A smart Force Push will eliminate a Purge Trooper even before a fight begins. You’ll bring the battle to you with a simple Force Pull. Remember to use both Pull and Push to send explosives flying towards high damage enemies. You’ll be running out of your Force meter pretty quickly with this build, so Enhanced Force Recovery and the Power of Friendship are a must. If this is the build for you, you’ll need to be patient. Most of the Force skills are locked until you learn Force Pull. But, a Jedi Master will find it worth the wait.

1. The Survivalist
The Survivalist build is for the player who wants to take a hit. Health, stim canisters, and the Force are your primary resources. You’ll shrug off a punch or a blaster bolt with fully enhanced stims. But, dodging and blocking are the bread and butter of Jedi: Fallen Order, so Superior Blocking and Evasive Kick skills are important too. The Survivalist build focuses on maximizing health, so all Force abilities are at their most basic. Defense is the best offense for the Survivalist. The best defensive Force ability is Mass Push. It’ll keep you from being crowded by Stormtroopers and monsters, and keep you alive. That’s the idea of the Survivalist: staying alive.
