Top 5 Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Best Structure Decks

Yami Yugi, King of Games, and Jaden Yuki... he has Kurriboh hair.

Which structure deck is the best?

When starting out in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, it’s sometimes easiest to pick up a pre-built, ready-to-play structure deck. This saves time from having to grind monster cards or collect tickets to exchange for rare cards and gives you a leg up over the competition.

Each structure deck has every component needed to build a tournament worthy deck. Here, I have compiled some of the very best structure decks, so you can find one that fits your style.

5. Hero Generation

Hero Generation
Masked HERO Koga, a new hero protecting the world!

When unlocking the world of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, fusion summoning becomes necessary to master to advance further. However, getting fusion cards can be tricky, as only certain cards can be used to fusion summon stronger monsters. The best way to get fusion cards is by getting a structure deck.

This deck is great because:

  • This deck builds a fusion deck. For those new to fusion summoning, this deck has all the basics and several options for an extra deck.
  • Many spells and monster effects bring monsters back from the graveyard, so your field is never empty.
  • This structure deck can be a deck of its own or help build a larger Fusion or Elemental Hero deck.

How to play this deck:

  • Use with Jaden Yuki’s “Where the Heroes Dwell” skill; this allows you to play the Skyscraper spell card, which gives 1000 ATK to any Elemental Hero attacking a monster with a higher ATK.
  • Elemental Hero Heat gains 200 ATK for any Elemental Hero on the field, including himself.
  • The Mask Change spell card can summon any Masked Hero, depending on which monster is tributed.
  • Use Mask Charge to return the Mask Change spell card and any Hero monster from the graveyard to your hand to summon another Masked Hero all over again.
  • Fusion summon Elemental Hero Nova Master by fusing any fire monster and an Elemental Hero.

4. King’s Resonance

King's Resonance

The most powerful form of Red Dragon Archfiend: Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode, a beast fit for a King!

Once you unlock the world of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5d’s, Synchro summoning becomes commonplace. However, you need Synchro monsters and Tuner monsters. The King’s Resonance Structure Deck provides all of that, as well as gives you powerful monsters.

This deck is great because:

  • This deck comes with all the components of a Synchro deck.
  • It provides three different Synchro monsters to summon, including Red Dragon Archfiend.
  • This deck is built around Archfiends but is designed to summon Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode, which is an unstoppable tank.

How to play this deck:

  • Use with Jack Atlas’s skill, “King of the Archfiends,” to increase the ATK of an Archfiend Synchro monster, or “Might of the King” to add Archfiend spell or trap cards to your deck.
  • The Powerful Rebirth trap card brings back any Level 4 or lower monster from the graveyard and increases its ATK and DEF by 100.
  • Clock Resonator is a Tuner monster that, once per turn, cannot be destroyed no matter what attacks it.
  • Assault Beast has a high ATK of 1900, but when discarded it summons the Assault Mode Active trap card to your hand.
  • Play Assault Mode Activate to special Summon Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode. After this dragon attacks, it destroys all other monsters after battle calculation.
  • Even if your opponent manages to take down Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode, you can special summon Red Dragon Archfiend from the graveyard.

3. White Dragon of Legend

White Dragon of Legend
The new form of Blue-Eyes White Dragon: Blue-Eyes Solid Dragon! Great in Seto Kaiba (DSOD)'s deck!

Ever since the beginning of Yu-Gi-Oh!, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon has been a fan favorite. This deck is powerful, with several strong monsters. Although it does not come with Blue-Eyes White Dragon, it instead has Blue-Eyes Solid Dragon and Dragon Spirit of White.

This deck is great because:

  • Blue-Eyes Dragon decks are consistently among the top tier decks and have been popular since the beginning of Yu-Gi-Oh!
  • This structure deck has several offensive monsters with high ATK and powerful abilities.
  • In addition to Dragon-based cards, it has many staple spell and trap cards useful in a variety of decks.

How to play this deck:

  • This deck works well with any of Seto Kaiba’s or Mokuba Kaiba’s skills: “Peak Performance” is especially useful, as it begins the duel with the field spell Mountain, adding 200 ATK and DEF to all Dragon monsters.
  • This structure deck has many Hieratic dragons and a Hieratic Seal of Supremacy trap card that lets you summon any of them to the field from your hand.
  • The continuous spell Non-Spellcasting Area protects all your monsters from spell cards and monster effects.
  • When summoned, the Dragon Spirit of White can banish any spell or trap card on your opponent’s field.
  • Blue-Eye Solid Dragon can be reshuffled into the deck and Blue-Eyes White Dragon summoned in its place.

2. Ancient Gear Awakening

Ancient Gear Awakening
Watch out for Ancient Gear Golem - Ultimate Pound's fist!

If you want a more competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! Gx based deck, this is the structure deck for you. The cards are based on the notorious Dr. Vellian Crowler’s deck and are difficult to beat.

This deck is great because:

  • This deck is for those aiming for more than casual fun. It has made an appearance in tournaments.
  • You can use this deck to support a machine deck or create an Ancient Gear deck.
  • This deck causes a lot of damage to your opponent.

  • Planet Pathfinder can be tributed to get any field spell added to your hand.
  • Play the Geartown field spell to summon any Ancient Gear monster for 1 less tribute: when the card is destroyed, you can special summon an Ancient Gear one more time.
  • The Double Cyclone eliminates one spell or trap card you control and one your opponent controls: use this to destroy Geartown, and summon a powerful monster.
  • Ancient Gear Golem - Ultimate Pound inflicts battle damage on monsters in defense position.
  • Find a way to summon Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon: it can inflict battle damage on monsters in defense position, destroy spell and trap cards, or attack twice, depending on how it is summoned.

1. Spellbound Silence

Spellbound Silence
The beautiful and powerful Silent Magician, strong enough to rival any Dark Magician.

This is a powerful structure deck. What makes it truly unique is that this deck relies fully on spell counters, which results in monsters getting stronger as turns go by.

This deck is great because:

  • It is unexpected. Few cards use spell counters, so these cards will catch any opponent off guard.
  • This deck comes with several rare, super rare, and ultra rare cards, many of which find their places in the decks of top duelists.
  • This is a unique spellcaster deck, which can be adjusted to include Dark Magician and other spellcasters if you prefer.

How to play this deck:

  • Play with Yugi Muto’s Skills; “Silent Duelist” plays Silent Magician LV4 when lifepoints get low, or “Spell Counter Boost” gives extra spell counters by revealing spell cards.
  • The Pitch-Black Power Stone trap card increases the number of spell counters on your cards.
  • This deck provides three Silent Magician LV4. Every time your opponent draws a card, the Silent Magician LV4 receives a spell counter and increases its  ATK by 500.
  • Silent Magician LV4 becomes Silent Magician LV8 once it gets 5 spell counters.
  • Play Level Modulation to force your opponent to draw two cards and bring back any LV monster from your graveyard.
  • Play Golden Sarcophagus to banish any card from your deck, to return two turns later to your hand. This card can save a duel.
