Nobody likes a cliffhanger ending to a story, even if there is another installment coming to the series that’ll clear things up. Even worse is when a story ends in a cliffhanger right before a major event and there is no installment that comes after it to clear the air.
Luckily for ‘Final Fantasy XIV’ players the ‘Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker’ DLC brings the story’s climax to the game with it as catastrophe descends on Hydalyn, allowing players the luxury of not having to fill in any major blanks themselves of what the future holds using only their potentially limited imaginations.
Besides the continuation of the story, ‘Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker’ brings a range of new features to the game. For the sweaty tryhards who always want to be leveling up, the max level cap has been pushed up from 80 to 90.
A number of new areas have also been added to the game for players to explore. Three of these areas are Labyrinthos, Thavnair, and Garlemald. Laybrinthos sounds like it may be a tad hard to navigate so players would be well-advised not to get lost.
The DLC also brings the Sage and Reaper roles to the game, both of which are brand new. A DLC wouldn’t mean much without new villains to fight and overcome, or die to.
‘Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker’ brings several new evils to the game, including ‘Anima’ and the ‘Magus Sisters.’ The Magus Sisters sound like an absolute menace that should best be treated with caution.
‘Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker’ is developed by ‘Square Enix.’ The original ‘Final Fantasy XIV’ is required in order to play the ‘Endwalker’ DLC. The game is available on Steam.
