Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is set after the events of Resident Evil 5 and before the events of Resident Evil 6. The game is divided into 5 episodes, each episode split into two, and follows two protagonists, Claire Redfield and Barry Burton, and two sidekicks, Moira and Natalia.

Only one of the protagonists can use a gun while the other one has to use weapons like bricks and crowbars, leaving them more vulnerable to attacks. The game supports co-op action also.

If you liked Resident evil Revelations 1, then you will surely like a sequel. First of all a lot of gamers may want to know one simple thing and that is: ''What's new?'' Well, there are a lot of new things in RE Revelations 2 and I do not know where to start. Should I start from the fact that now you assume the role of Claire Redfield, our well-known heroine from Resident Evil 2 or should I start from the fact that this RE is much darker and scarier than its predecessor? Let's try to start from- the start. you assume the role of Claire and you begin in a penal colony, which seems pretty much abandoned... But it is not. It is actually crowded with blood-thirsty creatures that resemble zombies and B.O.W.'s from previous RE titles, but... they are neither B.O.W.'s or zombies. They are called ''The Afflicted'', they are much faster than the usual zombie (even faster and can take more shots than Ooze creatures) and always attack in numbers, which is both the good thing and the bad thing. The good thing is because it gives you a sense of how ammo is sparse and how you need to be careful where you shoot (which is actually the core of survival-horrors- small amount of ammo/medkits combined with dangerous enemies). The bad thing is that almost every Afflicted will hit you, because they appear seemingly out of nowhere (actually they appear from the darkness, but since sometimes it gets just too dark, you cannot see them until it is 'too late'). This can irritate some gamers, especially if they are rookies. But all in all, enemies are well presented and they give you that survival-horror element we RE fans crave for and that is great. The atmosphere is also cool, but as I said before it can get too dark and that can sometimes mean GAME OVER screen (beware of invisible enemies, btw). I will not reveal much of the story, because I do not want to spoil anything, but what I want to say is that the story is definitely worth of playing the game more than once. And you will want to play it more than once, because it is rich in its content (The Mercenaries and bonus scenarios are simply amazing). So, if you liked the first Revelations, you will surely like its sequel and if you did not play the first one, play Re Revelations 2. Great atmosphere, many exciting and 'well designed' scenarios, cool enemies, great story and awesome 'side-quests' is what awaits you in Resident Evil Revelations 2. A must play for every survival-horror gamer.
