5. Nikolaos Sword (Good Sword)

Wielding the legendary Nikolaos Sword

We are starting with a good-level sword, a great weapon to start your Odyssey with. This one is a classic that you cannot miss and will be able to get already around the10th level. Nikolaos Sword is a Spartan legendary sword that will prove very handy in battles, especially, against Athenian warriors.

Let’s dive into Nikolaos Sword’s capabilities, shall we? The sword moderately boosts your warrior damage, but where it proves to be better than other swords is its boost to damage on Athenian soldiers. Be sure to equip it in the early game when you are fighting the Athenians. Who doesn’t like to kill Athenians anyways?

Moreover, if you want to feel like a true Spartan, then this sword is the best one to make it happen. Nikolaos’s Sword boosts damage when using Sparta Kick Ability, which is a unique perk. Be sure to use this weapon along with that ability and make your dream of being a true spartan warrior come true.

Kassandra using the Prometheus's Sika

You can guess from its name, what this sword is going to be about. Just like the giver of fire, the Sika is a weapon that deals best with fire. The Prometheus’s Sika is a perfect weapon for anyone who likes to wreak havoc with extensive fire.

In terms of its abilities, the sword boosts warrior damage and fire damage. However, since it is a legendary weapon, the third boost additionally ups fire damage and buildup. If you have a more fire-oriented build, then be sure to get this sword as soon as you can.

Prometheus’s Sika Strengths:

  • boosts fire buildup
  • suits fire build perfectly

3. Xiphos of Dionysos (Strong Sword)

Xiphos of Dionysos wielded by Kassandra wearing the Pirate Set Armor

Now, Xiphos is one of my new favorites. It grew on me the last time I played AC Odyssey and I have to say, it is a hell of a weapon. Not only is it a sword of a god, but also it has great boosts, and perks and is perfect to use long-term, especially if your build is suited for it. Combining it with a good armor set will also make it an unstoppable weapon.

One of the biggest advantages of this sword is that it is perfect for Assassin Builds, especially ones that aim at boosting CRIT Damage. This sword boosts such aspects and also adds damage when using the Hero Strike Ability. If you are aiming at increasing the power of such stats and abilities, then I think that this sword might be your best choice.

Xiphos of Dionysos Strengths:

  • boosts Assassin Damage
  • boosts CRIT Damage
  • boosts Damage with Hero Strike Ability
  • the perfect weapon for CRIT build
  • ideal to use for Assassin builds
  • all of the boosts can significantly increase weapons damage

How to get Xiphos of Dionysos:

You won’t be able to miss this sword, as you need to progress the mainline quests to obtain it. After arriving in Sparta and completing the quests given to you by Sparta’s two kings, you will be tasked with determining which king is the Sage of the Peloponnesian League of the Cult of Kosmos. After you determine that Pausanias is the Sage, you will be able to kill him and you will receive the sword after looting his body.

2. Xiphos of Peleus (Powerful Sword)

Kassandra swinging the Xiphos of Peleus

Here we have reached really powerful swords that you can get in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. This sword is excellent for all people who invest in Assassin Abilities and create such Assassin Builds. It boosts those stats significantly, while having a huge DPS.

From my point of view, the builds that focus on assassin damage or adrenaline per CRIT are the best to use with this sword. Xiphos of Peleus boosts the most important of those aspects for Assassin Builds. It also adds huge damage to the Rush Assassinate Ability, which is a nice bonus. It is perfect for ending your fights quickly and silently.

Xiphos of Peleus Strengths:

  • boosts Assassin Damage
  • boosts Adrenaline
  • boosts Damage with Rush Assassinate Ability
  • deals huge DPS
  • can be obtained fairly easy
  • perfect for Assassin Builds

How to get Xiphos of Peleus:

Compared to other swords on this list, this one is really simple and doesn’t require you to follow any quest. Simply head to Kos Island and find Artemisia Fort. Once you get there, loot the legendary treasure chest and you will be able to find the sword in it.

1. Harpe of Perseus (Powerful Sword)

Kassandra wielding the Harpe of Perseus and wearing the Greek Hero Armor Set

One of certainly the best weapons in the entire game. The Harpe of Perseus is the kind of a sword you are looking for at the end of the game, as a reward for all hard battles. When you get this sword, you certainly won’t be disappointed.

Firstly, the sword boosts hunter damage, which is a nice perk. But more importantly, it adds CRIT Damage. If those two don’t persuade you enough, let’s see the last boost. So, the last one shortens the Cooldown Duration for All Abilities by 25% which is a unique feat, perfect for players using abilities a lot. When you are fighting 20 enemies or more at once, this is the sword you want to use.

Harpe of Perseus Strengths:

  • boosts Hunter Damage
  • boosts CRIT Damage
  • shortens Cooldown
  • one of the hardest weapons to get, so it is very rewarding once you have it
  • ideal if you rely on your abilities a lot

How to get Harpe of Perseus:

Once you meet Pythagoras, he will give you a task to find artifacts. One of those can be found on Lesbos. Once you begin a quest on the island, you will eventually wind up facing Medusa. Defeat her to obtain Harpe of Perseus.Beware that Medusa is probably the hardest fight in the whole game. Try facing her only after you have reached the 50th level to raise your chances.
