[Top 5] Dead by Daylight Best Jake Park Builds

Jake Park was introduced as one of the original survivors in Dead by Daylight when the game launched. Jake has a mix of meta and situational teachable perks, which allows for some variability in your builds. Let’s take a look at the best builds you can run with them.

5. Beginner Jake Park

Jake Park (Dead By Daylight) 2020 Beginners' Build #4

The Beginner Jake Park build is a build that only uses the basic perks all survivors have access to, as well as Jake’s teachable perks. Because of this, you don’t need to have any other survivor’s teachable perks unlocked. Even though we only have the basic perks, you can still make a strong build out of them.

Jake’s perk Iron Will is probably his strongest perk. It isn’t unexpected to see Iron Will in higher ranks as it is somewhat of a meta perk. This perk allows you to not make any sound from your cries of pain while you are injured. This makes hiding from the killer immensely easier.

Spine Chill is used so you can tell when the killer is looking at you, so if you hear the killer’s terror radius approaching and Spine Chill is lighting up, you should probably start looking for a safe place to run to. However, if it isn’t lit up, then you can keep doing what you are doing, the killer is probably just passing by.

Resilience increases your action speeds while you are injured, this reduces the need to heal, which is especially helpful when you don’t have any teammates around you to heal you anyway. So you might as well get a benefit out of being injured. When Resilience is paired with Spine Chill, you get extra speed while vaulting, as they both give you extra vault speed. This is very strong while you are being chased since the killer isn’t used to the extra speed so you can get away with some vaults that you normally can’t.

Dark sense is a decent perk to use because after you complete a generator and you see the killer's aura, you can decide where to go next based on where the killer is. Or if you are currently in a chase and looping the killer, and a generator is completed, you can still see their aura, opening up the potential to mind game the killer in a loop where they don’t have a line of sight.

What Beginner Jake Park Excels In:

  • You do not need to have anyone else’s teachable perks unlocked.
  • Knowledge of the killer’s whereabouts after a generator is completed.
  • Faster vaults while in a chase.
  • Able to know if the killer is closing in on you.

Perks Used:

Iron Will: When injured, Grunts of Pain are reduced by 50/75/100%.
Spine Chill: Whenever the Killer is looking in your direction when within 36 meters of you, Spine Chill activates:

  • Skill Check Trigger odds are increased by 10%.
  • Skill Check Success zones are reduced by 10%.
  • Your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Opening, and Unlocking are increased by 2/4/6%.

Resilience: When injured, your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Opening, and Unlocking are increased by 3/6/9%.
Dark Sense: Each time a Generator is completed, the Killer's Aura is revealed to you for 5 seconds and for 5/7/10 seconds when the last Generator is completed.

4. Ultimate Hook Sabo Build

Using the Ultimate Hook Sabo Build - Dead by Daylight

The Ultimate Hook Sabo build is intended on, you guessed it, sabotaging hooks. Now that doesn’t mean that you go around and try to sabotage every hook, in fact, that would surely just be wasting everyone’s time as sabotaged hooks while using saboteur respawn fairly quickly. The point of this build is that if one of your teammates happens to go down around you, then you are going to try to go to their nearest hook, sabotage it, and all the while sticking around the killer to help them wiggle out the rest of the way.

Breakout will allow you to help the survivor that is being carried by the killer to wiggle out faster, it will increase their wiggling speed by 20%. You will also get a 7% haste bonus, making it hard for the killer to catch up to you while they are carrying a survivor. Inexperience killers may try to chase you which will inevitably just let your carried teammate escape.

Jake’s teachable perk, Saboteur, allows you to sabotage hooks really fast, in comparison to just using a toolbox. This also allows you to see the auras of all the hooks around you when the killer picks up a survivor, making it easy for you to find the nearest hook and try to save your teammate.

Boil Over is mostly used for the theme of the build, however, you can try to get some value with it by sabotaging a hook right before you get downed, and when the killer picks you up they have to try to find another close hook. Boil Over will make it harder for the killer to see hooks around him, as well as making him sway side to side more when he’s carrying you.

Dead Hard is a great exhaustion perk allowing you to extend chases, or if you need to, try to get a quick dash to a hook to get a sabotage off just in time. Or if you are running around the killer with Breakout while they are carrying someone and they happen to get too close and go for an attack on you, you can use Dead Hard to try to avoid it.

What Ultimate Hook Sabo Build Excels In:

  • Very altruistic build.
  • Fun when it works out.
  • Different playstyle when compared to normal games.

Perks Used:

Boil Over: While being carried by the Killer:

  • Your Struggle Effects from Wiggling, causing the Killer to strafe sideways, are increased by 25/50/75%.
  • You obscure the Killer's ability to read the Auras of all Hooks within 10/12/14 meters of your pick-up location.

Breakout: When within 6 meters of a carried Survivor, you gain the Haste Status Effect, moving at an increased speed of 5/6/7%.

  • The carried Survivor's Wiggling speed is increased by 20%.

Saboteur: Unlocks potential in your Aura-reading ability.

  • While a Survivor is being carried, the Auras of all Hooks within 56 meters the location they were picked up at are revealed to you.
  • Unlocks the ability to sabotage Hooks without needing a Toolbox:
  • Sabotaging a Hook without a Toolbox takes 3 seconds.
  • The Sabotage action has a cool-down of 90/75/60 seconds.

Dead Hard: When Injured, tap into your adrenaline bank and dash forward quickly to avoid damage.

  • Press the Active Ability button while running to dash forward.
  • Avoid any damage during the Dash.
  • Dead Hard causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
  • Dead Hard cannot be used when Exhausted.

3. Invisible

INVISIBLE! | Dead By Daylight LEGACY SURVIVOR PERK BUILDS

Invisible is all about being stealthy. All of your perks are used to help keep you hidden from the killer and avoiding being chased at all times.

This utilizes two of Jake’s teachable perks, Calm Spirit and Iron Will. Calm Spirit prevents crows from being alerted while you walk around them. For more experienced killers, if they can pay attention to the crows flying away, landing, or making noise in general, they can determine where survivors are, so this can come in handy. Calm Spirit also prevents you from screaming from the Doctor’s ability and same perks as Infectious Fright. Iron Will is simply used to prevent you from making noises from your cries of pain while you are injured.

Distortion prevents your aura from being seen by the killer a limited number of times. Mostly this will be used to stop Barbecue and Chili from showing your aura after the killer has hooked somebody. But there are certain add-ons the killer can bring in that can show your aura as well.

Lastly, we have Quick and Quiet which will not make a noise notification or the noise of quick actions you make, such as fast vaulting a window or pallet, or running into a locker. This can be used to mind game killers while you are in a loop with them, especially if they don’t have a line of sight.

What Invisible Excels In:

  • Very sneaky build.
  • Easy to hide from the killer.
  • Hard counter to the Doctor.
  • Possibility to mind game killers.

Perks Used:

Calm Spirit: The chances of alerting nearby Crows are reduced by 80/90/100% and your urge to scream from pain is suppressed.
Distortion: You start the Trial with 3 Tokens.

  • Whenever the Killer attempts to read your Aura, Distortion activates and a Token is consumed:
  • Your Aura will not be shown to the Killer and you will not leave any Scratch Marks for the next 6/8/10 seconds.
  • Distortion does not activate when you are in the Dying State or in a Killer Trap.

Iron Will: When injured, Grunts of Pain are reduced by 50/75/100%.
Quick and Quiet: Loud Noise notifications for rushing to vault Windows , or to enter or exit Lockers are completely suppressed.

  • Quick & Quiet has a cool-down of 30/25/20 seconds.

2. Toxic Jake

Playing As Jake Park BUT I'm SUPER TOXIC | Dead By Daylight

Toxic Jake uses very strong meta perks that tend to be annoying to the killer. Despite being called Toxic, these perks inherently do not make you toxic.

Saboteur is used to stop the killer from hooking your teammates last second, this is very annoying to the killer and may make them tunnel or slug you and your team. However, this is a very situational perk that doesn’t work very often.

Adrenaline is a strong end game perk thatgives you an instant heal once all of the generators are done as well as a speed boost similar to Sprint Burst.

Bond allows you to see your teammates’ auras, which could give you enough time to run to their help if they go down, potentially allowing you to use Saboteur, and rescuing them from the killer’s grasp.

Lastly, we have Decisive Strike which protects you from being tunneled. If you go down again right after being unhooked and the killer tries to pick you up, you can attempt a skill check to stun the killer and escape from their grasp. This gives you a second chance at a chase and if used after the exit gates are open, there is almost nothing the killer can do to stop you from escaping.

What Toxic Jake Excels In:

  • Strong meta perks.
  • Very safe end game.
  • Protection against tunneling.
  • Possibility to save teammates.

Perks Used:

Saboteur: Unlocks potential in your Aura-reading ability.

  • While a Survivor is being carried, the Auras of all Hooks within 56 meters the location they were picked up at are revealed to you.
  • Unlocks the ability to sabotage Hooks without needing a Toolbox:
  • Sabotaging a Hook without a Toolbox takes 3 seconds.
  • The Sabotage action has a cool-down of 90/75/60 seconds.

Adrenaline: When the Exit Gates are powered, instantly heal one Health State and sprint at 150% of your normal Running speed for 5 seconds.

  • Adrenaline is on hold if you are disabled at the moment it triggers and will instead activate upon being freed.
  • If playing against The Nightmare, Adrenaline will wake you from the Dream World upon activation.
  • Adrenaline ignores an existing Exhaustion timer, but causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.

Bond: The Auras of other Survivors are revealed to you when they are within a range of 20/28/36 meters.
Decisive Strike: After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike activates for the next 40/50/60 seconds:

  • When being grabbed or picked up by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape their grasp, stunning them for 5 seconds.
  • Successfully stunning the Killer will disable Decisive Strike for the remainder of the Trial and result in you becoming the Obsession.
  • While Decisive Strike is active, the following interactions will deactivate it:
  • Repairing a Generator.
  • Healing yourself or other Survivors.
  • Cleansing a Totem.
  • Sabotaging a Hook.
  • Unhooking other Survivors.
  • Increases the odds of being the Obsession.
  • The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

1. Ascended Jake Park

Ascended Jake Park

Ascended Jake Park uses very strong meta perks and is, in general, an all-around great build. You get protection from tunneling, an exhaustion perk to help you in chases, knowledge of where your teammates are, and a perk to help you be sneaky.

Iron Will is used to help you hide, as it stops you from making sounds with your cries of pain while you are injured.

Sprint Burst gives you a strong exhaustion perk that can give you a lot of distance during a chase. You also don’t even need to use this in a chase. If the killer is busy with someone else, you can simply use Sprint Burst to get to different objectives faster.

Bond is used here to help you know where your teammates are, and what they are doing. If you are in a chase and you see your teammates working on a generator, then you can lead the killer away from them so they can get the gen done without being interrupted. Or if you are injured you can run to some teammates to help heal you.

And finally, we have Decisive Strike again, which protects you from being tunneled. You essentially get a second chance at a chase with the killer if you happen to have this perk enabled at the time. And as usual, if you do happen to get to use this perk in the end game when the exit gates are open, there is nearly nothing the killer can do to stop you from escaping.

What Ascended Jake Park Excels In:

  • Very strong meta perks.
  • Knowledge of where your teammates are.
  • Protection against tunneling.

Perks Used:

Iron Will: When injured, Grunts of Pain are reduced by 50/75/100%.

Sprint Burst: When starting to run, break into a sprint at 150% of your normal running speed for a maximum of 3 seconds.

  • Sprint Burst causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
  • Sprint Burst cannot be used when Exhausted.

Bond: The Auras of other Survivors are revealed to you when they are within a range of 20/28/36 meters.
