E.T.C.
The most powerful Tauren chieftain to ever headbang in the Nexus, the power of the Horde is manifested by his ferocious rhythms and scorching guitar riffs. There is no need to put on socks. He'll just rock them away regardless.
A disruptive but only moderately resilient tank is E.T.C. His excellent engagement and peeling skills will be very useful to teammates, but due to his low damage output, E.T.C. players must coordinate well with allied Heroes to secure kills. Overall his crowd-control abilities are the ones that bring him to the top and the ones that can secure a game.
What makes E.T.C. a powerful carrier:
Huge amount of crowd control
Ability to end the fight before it started with the right combination of his ability - most of the enemies can be knocked out if caught with Mosh Pit
Opportunity to become global at Level 10

Johanna
Another will march under the banner of the Crusade, and another will die for the sake of the holy mission. Johanna, the Crusader of Zakarum, a woman braver than most men, knows that her faith is no different. Many speculate that her courageous and rightful quest led her to the Nexus. Perhaps she is looking for an apprentice, someone worthy to carry her shield one day.
Johanna is one of the most resilient heroes in the Nexus. She can perform many crowd-control moves with her blinding and stunning abilities. Johanna can fit into any composition and is designed to cause chaos among enemy lines. This crusader is a real gem in the game, with apparently no realistic counter.
What makes Johanna a powerful carry:
- Amazing crowd-control abilities that can disrupt any enemy composition
- Massive health pool and shields
- A substantial amount of damage can be provided

Li-Ming
A Nephalem from the island of Xiansai stood out as the pupil of the prestigious Yshari Sanctum. Li Ming is now a rebellious wizard, wielding the almost unmatched and unlimited arcane power of the universe.
Li Ming is an aggressive ranged assassin, who relies mostly on her trait Critical Mass, which allows her to deal an extreme amount of damage over and over again. Li Ming has a great asset of teleportation, which allows her to pass over obstacles and escape quickly. Her biggest advantage lies in her maneuverability because players can be surprised by where hits come from. However, it is to be noted Li Ming is not an easy Hero to master.
There are several reasons Li Ming got to this list:
- Extraordinary damage
- Amazing maneuvering and positioning capabilities
- Great poking potential
- Adaptable talent sheets
Li Ming’s full details: https://heroesofthestorm.com/en-us/heroes/li-ming/
Alarak
It is difficult to call him a hero, he simply does not fall under the genre. Highlord of the Tal'darim, Alarak is a strange figure guided by vendettas and personal animosities. Yet altogether, he is a true leader, and the Nexus might be a worthy kingdom to him.
Alarak is a melee assassin that excels at dealing burst damage. His playstyle requires manipulating the enemy positions with telekinesis and performing combos with his basic abilities. Alarak draws most of his power from his trait Sadism, which can be increased through quests and kills. If the player can ensure Alarak's constant survival then this hero can become unstoppable.
Why Alarak made it to the list:
- Outstanding burst damage
- Able to stack sadism indefinitely making him extremely powerful if played right
- Telekinesis can be used for both crowd control and as an escape ability
- Great potential to setup takedowns
- Can silence enemies with his ability called Discord Strike

Nazeebo
"With cabalistic incantations and vestments of feather and bone, the heretic Witch Doctor Nazeebo of the Umbaru tribe calls upon spirits from the Unformed Land to aid him in battle."
Few will see the Witch Doctor in flesh, without losing their own here in Nexus.
Nazeebo is a ranged assassin oriented around spell damage. He can deal a good amount of burst damage and sustained damage from a distance. Nazeebo is a late-game hero, because of his main trait, Voodoo Ritual. Once he achieves a certain amount of stacks, he becomes almost unstoppable. In addition to his many values, Nazeebo has a relatively large health pool that can be increased over time.
Here is why Nazeebo is on the list:
- Outstanding damage if Voodo Ritual gets completed
- Can both solo-lane and provide a decent amount of damage
- Able to clean mercenaries easily
- Additional bonuses as the game prolong

Zul’jin
Zul'jin, the Warlord of the Amani Forest Trolls, stood in front of his armies many times, never afraid to beat up an elf. With most of them already beaten up, he ventured into the Nexus to continue his dueling against them.
Zul'jin is a ranged assassin that is depicted as an auto-attacker. His main trait, Berserker, gives him additional damage that lower his health. That makes playing Zul’jin hard and delicate. A player needs to find balance. Through talent diversity, Zul’jin can be reorientated on spell damage.
Here are some reasons why he is among the strongest:
- Can fill multiple roles to accommodate a multitude of team compositions and match-ups
- The regeneration ability adds a nice self-heal
- Outstanding single-target damage via basic attack
- Decent wave clear
- When stacked can outdo any damage

Orphea
She was born in the chaos of Nexus and lived in it to see the destruction and brutality others laid. All of the horrors made her swear. Swear to protect the innocent, to fight against the mischief, to rise above the corruption that runs loose. She is the Hero of the Nexus; she is Orphea.
Orphea is a ranged assassin that has an interesting playthrough. She excels at providing damage and has above-average survivability, but very much lacks in crowd control. She can maneuver around quickly and position herself in such a manner that is ideal for both dealing with the damage and finishing the opponent.
There are plenty of reasons why Orphea is here, and some are:
- More than powerful burst damage
- High mobility and maneuvering capabilities
- Relatively high survivability
- Great combination of abilities
- Able to both perform massive damage and quickly finish the player
Orphea’s full details: https://heroesofthestorm.com/en-us/heroes/orphea/
Leoric
"From the east shall come a monarch whose rule begins in blood and ends in bone. In the light of a comet, he will die a third and final death at the hands of true men”
Through corruption, agony was born. Pain that was engraved in history for all to remember. And no amount of blood or death will humble it. Oh, no death will take away Leoric.
Leoric is an aggressive melee bruiser that excels in self-sustain, mobility, and damage output. His abilities enable him to fight multiple enemies at once, but one of his main advantages is his trait "Undying," which causes him to take on a ghostly form when killed. In it, if the player performs well, Leoric can respawn quite quicker than any hero.
Reasons why Leoric can be considered as a carry:
- Fast respawn thanks to Drain Essence
- Can become Unstoppable when needed
- Strong in the late game
- Good self-sustain
- Solid waveclear and mobility

Ragnaros
Behold Ragnaros - the Firelord! He who was ancient when this world was young! Bow before him, mortals! Bow before your ending!”
The Lord of Fire and Flame, known as the Great Fire, Ragnaros is a powerful bruiser who can rain destruction upon his enemies with his brutal abilities or simply when defending his team's forts. He has a unique ability to take over destroyed forts called Molten Core. This gives him an additional set of abilities, that are quite powerful, especially for clearing waves.
Here are just some of the reasons why Ragnaros can carry:
- He is an exceptional Hero that can perform well in multiple roles
- Able to multitask - clear lanes, provide substantial damage and crowd control, and clear mercenary camps.
- An amazing asset in maps like Braxis Holdout, Tomb of The Spider Queen, and so on.
- Decent amount of hp

Malfurion
Malfurion Stormrage was the first mortal druid on Azeroth and the night elf who started the Kaldorei people's widespread usage of druidism 10 millennia ago. He is Tyrande's loving and caring husband and Illidan's twin brother. The worst of the battles in the Nexus are his family feuds.
Malfurion is a ranged healer that orients around efficient healing over time and debuffs. Malfurion possesses great crowd-control abilities. The main reason why Malfurion can carry is not his great healing potential, debuffs, or crowd control. It's the damage potential he has. The damage relies on well-played Moonfire combined with autos and vengeful roots.
Here are just some of the reasons why Malfurion can carry:
- Outstanding healing over time with Regrowth and Tranquility
- A very strong area of effect crowd control through Entangling Roots
- Innervate is valuable to Mana-hungry allied heroes
- Extremely versatile Talent choices to adapt to a broad variety of situations
