[Top 10] Mobile Legends Best Initiators

Mobile Legends Best Initiators
Terizla, the Chain Master

What about Initiators?

Initiators are the sole dominators when it comes to team fights. With precise play, just one successful use of their ultimate can either finally close the game or turn it around entirely. Initiators can catch multiple enemies at once and control them for seconds to be utterly demolished by their bloodthirsty teammates. They are hardboiled and coldblooded but thoroughly enjoyable to play. To learn more about the powers of some of these notorious heroes, here are the Top 10 Mobile Legends Best Initiators.

10. Khaleed

Khaleed, the Mud Lad

Khaleed is known to be a merciless beast in early game because of his innate high damage output and sustainability. What often gets overlooked about him is the decent initiation that his ultimate “Raging Sandstorm” brings. Leaping high and stunning all enemy heroes in a small area, Khaleed would have been broken with this skill if it wasn’t for its long and predictable cast duration.

What makes Khaleed great:

  • He has high damage output and sustainability.
  • He becomes invincible when using “Raging Sandstorm.”
  • He can roam fast.

9. Tigreal

Tigreal: Suddenly It’s Thanksgiving

Tigreal is the free tank everybody gets right after installing the game. This is because he represents the camaraderie that the game promotes by pulling all nearby enemies to himself using “Implosion” and then stunning them for 1.5 seconds. Despite its long cast duration and somewhat small AOE, this skill, in coordination with Tigreal’s dashing skill “Sacred Hammer,” is enough to catch unsuspecting victims and bring them home (literally after they respawn).

What makes Tigreal great:

  • He’s free and easy to use.
  • He can reset enemy buffs by pushing them out of their camps.
  • With the spell “Flicker,” he can push enemies to allied turrets for kills.

8. Gatotkaca

Gatotkaca: Never Late to a Party

In a single use of his ultimate, “Avatar of Guardian,” Gatotkaca can jump to the sky and cross nearly a third of the map to knock enemies into the air for 2 seconds upon landing. Due to this feature, Gatotkaca is one of the most mobile heroes in the game, able to provide support for his teammates from afar. Once in the middle of the enemy lineup, this anti-social-distancing stud can further control enemies by taunting them with “Unbreakable.”

What makes Gatotkaca great:

  • He can jump on enemy heroes hiding in the back lines.
  • His passive “Steel Bones” convert his lost HP to Physical Defense.
  • He is phenomenal at roaming and ganking.

Belerick, the Tree That Will Cut You Down

Belerick absorbs the damage inflicted on him and returns some of it to his attackers, just like what nature does to humans in real life (only worse). The key thing about Belerick is the mass AOE stun that he brings to the table using his ultimate “Wrath of Dryad.” Once activated, he engulfs a large field with vines and immobilizes all enemies caught inside for 2 seconds. Combining this skill with “Flicker,” Belerick can blink right in the enemy lineup and show them the wrath of Father Nature.

What makes Belerick great:

  • The HP he gets from items is increased by a whopping 40%.
  • He can follow up his ultimate with his taunting skill “Ancient Seed.”
  • He counters DPS heroes thanks to his passive “Deadly Thorns.”

6. Lolita

Lolita: Y’all Asleep Now

One amazing thing about Lolita is her ability to block her enemies’ skill shots and then hurl them back at their sour faces. However, her signature gift is her ultimate “Noumenon Blast,” the largest AOE stun in the game. It creates a fan-shaped area in front of her and slows everyone as she charges for the finishing blow. Once completed, she smashes her hammer down and stuns everybody for 2 seconds. It may have a long cast duration, but good luck getting away from it.

What makes Lolita great:

She has the largest AOE stun in the game.

She’s a great counter to mages because she can block skills with “Guardian’s Bulwark.”

“Charge!” gives her high kill potential when rotating.

5. Minotaur

Minotaur: Stronger Than Red Bull

Since every damage Minotaur receives fills his “Rage,” his enemies often think twice about attacking him. Once filled, Minotaur enters “Rage State,” improving and refreshing all his skills immediately. But what plants doubt in the hearts of his foes is the skill “Minoan Fury,” his ultimate that knocks all enemies around him into the air 3 times and then slows them by 70%. When people say don’t take the bull by its horns, just follow their advice.

What makes Minotaur great:

  • His Crowd Control covers a lot of ground.
  • He doesn’t use mana.
  • He can heal himself and his teammates over time using “Motivation Roar.”

4. Khufra

Khufra: Balls and Walls

Khufra shuts down all blink abilities with “Bouncing Ball,” meaning nearly all assassins and marksmen hate him more than anything else. This mummy can also stretch his body and jump to some distance in front of him with “Tyrant’s Revenge,” knocking enemies he encounters as he flies. In team fights, Khufra can combine “Flicker” with his ultimate “Tyrant’s Rage” to push enemies against a wall, stunning them for 1.75 seconds. Because his skills are all Crowd Control, Khufra is an effective initiator that many players have come to respect.

What makes Khufra great:

  • He has great roaming potential.
  • He counters most assassins and marksmen.
  • He can enhance both Physical and Magical Defense.

3. Akai

Akai: Spinning Panda

If Khufra loves walls, then this cute chubby panda worships them. Akai’s ultimate “Hurricane Dance” allows him to spin like a top, pushing all enemies away as he makes contact with them. On the surface, this skill seems worthless, but once you combine it with “Flicker” or “Thousand Pounder,” which is Akai’s blink ability, you can jump behind enemies and push them against a wall to be devoured alive by your teammates. Nothing’s worse than being unable to move while watching your hero gets beaten to death.

What makes Akai great:

  • He can ruin enemy team positioning during team fights.
  • He can separate a particular enemy hero for a kill.
  • He can stun enemies with “Blender.”

2. Ruby

Ruby: How About a Hug?

Ruby is the most sustainable hero in the game, nearly unkillable with her strong mobility and Crowd Control. Once itemized, she can restore half of her HP, if not all, with one swing of her scythe. By using her ultimate “I’m Offended!” Ruby wields her weapon forward and yanks back all enemies back to her, stunning them for 0.5 seconds. Complementing this with “Flicker,” Ruby can snag multiple heroes in a flash, leaving them dead before they realize what hit them. Overall, she’s flashy, stylish, and just superbly functional.

What makes Ruby great:

  • Her ultimate has fast animation, making it unpredictable.
  • Her skills and ultimate have low cooldowns.
  • She can dash after using her skills.

1. Atlas

Atlas: He Brings Families Together

Coming out on top of the list is the king of initiation, Atlas. Atlas has been showcased in various professional tournaments solely due to his outstanding ability to control multiple enemies. Using his ultimate “Fatal Links,” Atlas hurls his chains around him, binding all nearby enemies and then dragging them airborne towards a specific location. Afterward, his “Frigid Breath” gets to reduce his victims’ movement and attack speed by 50%, which is a little more generous punishment than just freezing them. His initiation is further improved by complementing it with “Flicker” and his blink “Perfect Match.”

What makes Atlas great:

  • His ultimate requires no aiming, covers a lot of ground, and has fast animation.
  • He has high mobility and great roaming potential.
  • He lasts long in fights where he contributes so much by applying severe AOE slows and stuns.
