Sojourn gearing up for battle

Why Pros Matter

Overwatch 2 has received an influx of players from all across the world. Beginners and experts alike could use some pointers from the best players in the world. These players combine strategy with raw talent to create fluid gameplay you can’t take your eyes off of. With their guidance, anyone can become a much better Overwatch 2 player.

15. Hanbin

Hanbin adjusts his glasses menacingly

See Hanbin in action:

Choi Han-been is a South Korean tank player for Dallas Fuel. Originally, he played with Paris Eternal. Hanbin faced challenges when Overwatch switched to a 5v5 format. There was speculation that he wouldn’t be able to keep up with the sudden change. Well, it’s safe to say he proved those speculations wrong.

Hanbin chose to pick up Junker Queen, and wow, he is amazing at her. His Junker Queen is, in my opinion, the best in the league. He can single-handedly pull a fight together. He’s mastered the movement of the new tank hero, leading to higher success rates and more damage done.

Hanbin is a fantastic Overwatch player who has proven he can adapt to any situation, even when the game makes drastic changes to its formatting. Now, Hanbin is a formidable tank player who will continue to prosper on Dallas Fuel.

Oh Se-hyun is a professional Overwatch player currently playing for the Houston Outlaws. He is a DPS player who has impressed the world with his Echo skills. His Echo is fast and deadly, and the most amazing part is how he knows when to push in and when to back out.

One of the hardest concepts to master in Overwatch 2 is knowing when to push in and out. One wrong push could cost you your life, but one right push could make the difference between winning and losing the game. The high-risk, high-reward system is tricky, but Pelican has mastered it with his Echo gameplay.

Pelican is only continuing to impress us the more we see him play. As time goes on, Overwatch fans will continue to support his journey in the OWL.

Sparkle has a massive following thanks to his impressive DPS play. This most recent season, Sparkle had one of the lowest death counts in the entire league. He used to be called the best Doomfist player in the league until Doomfist was reworked.

Nowadays, Sparkle is still considered one of the best players in the world, despite the Doomfist rework. He will continue to impress the OWL for the foreseeable future.

MN3 stares directly into your soul

See MN3 in action:

Yoon Jae-hee is a young South Korean player currently with Seoul Infernal. MN3 has yet to make any huge first-place achievements when it comes to tournaments, but his talents shouldn’t go unnoticed. Ever since Sojourn appeared in Overwatch 2, MN3 has made her his iconic hero.

Now, MN3’s Sojourn and Ashe make him a formidable foe. His talent on the field makes him stand out from the other OWL players. Ashe is considered one of the weaker hitscans, at least when compared to heroes like Sojourn and the modern-day Widowmaker. However, MN3 is so good with Ashe that even with the "weaker" hero, he can still outmatch the enemy Widows and Sojourns.

Overall, MN3 has a promising career despite being born in 2003. He’s young, meaning he’s going to blossom more as time passes, and we’ll get to see more of his talent.

LIP stares at his screen, contemplating his next move

See LIP in action:

Lee Jae-won is a South Korean DPS player for the Atlanta Reign. He specializes in hitscan heroes, but he also plays an amazing Sombra that can change the tide of the game. Seeing as Sombra got a soft rework, it’s been harder to master her. The fact that he mastered her so quickly shows off his adaptability and ability to think on his feet.

Back in 2022, he earned the top spot for most solo kills in the season. He won the MVP back in 2021, and he's been nominated for it again for the 2022 season. His skills and strategy make him one of the best players in the game, and definitely one of the best Sombra players in the game.

In fact, he’s become so popular that he’s deemed the "best Genji player in the world". Although this is a subjective take, there is much evidence to back up that claim.

WhoRU is easily one of the best Genji players in the league, if not the world. WhoRU’s Genji is so impactful that he can single-handedly turn the tide of whatever match he’s playing. He is a huge reason why his team keeps winning tournaments and taking home huge prize pots.

To this day, Fleta is still the only OWL player to have a stat named after him. He is also a highly decorated player, having won the Overwatch All-Star three years in a row. Along with that, Fleta was also awarded the MVP title in 2020.

Overall, Fleta is one of the deadliest DPS players in the game. That, combined with his game sense, make him one of the best Overwatch players in the world.
