[Top 10] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Attacker Guns That Are Powerful

Top 10 Best Attacker Guns That Are Powerful In Rainbow 6 Siege
The best guns that are available to attackers in Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 8 Season 1

10. 417

The 417 marksman rifle is one of the best attacker guns in the game and is also one of the most underrated. That’s probably because the operators that can use it have other guns available to them that are fully automatic and are therefore easier to use. However, Lion, Twitch, and Sens players should really not sleep on this great weapon and consider using it on maps where a marksman rifle would serve them better. That’s especially because the 417 marksman rifle has some qualities that no other marksman rifles possess.

The 417 is very unique in that even as a marksman rifle, it’s also very effective at close range. That’s because it has a very tight hip fire which doesn’t really change much even if you fire it in quick succession. The user can make its tight stock hip fire even tighter by attaching a laser to it. That way, the 417 will be very effective at sudden close-range encounters because the user won’t even have to go into aim-down-sight stance to hit the enemy. With this, the user will have the speed advantage over their enemies at close-range since they won’t have to go into aim-down-sight stance to hit them.

What makes the 417 great:

  • Has a very tight hip fire which doesn’t change much even if you fire it in quick successions so it’s also great for close quarters combat
  • Inflicts heavy damage and destruction per shot which means its penetration power is great and it can destroy unreinforced hatches
  • Can be equipped with a scope 3.0x which will allow the user to be a menace at medium to long-range
  • Can also be equipped with a scope 1.5x which is perfect for close to medium-range encounters

Weapon stats:

  • Damage - 69
  • Fire rate – 450 RPM
  • Capacity – 20 + 1

9. SC3000K

Sam “Zero” Fisher’s unique weapon made it into this list because it’s one of the heaviest hitting assault rifles in the game, and despite it inflicting high stopping power per shot, its recoil remains relatively manageable. That allows the user to equip it with attachments that provide other benefits than additional recoil control. With the SC3000K, the user will also have access to scopes that provide higher zoom levels like the scope 1.5x and scope 2.0x, which are just perfect for Zero’s role and the distance where he usually operates.

Going back to the SC3000K’s manageable stock recoil, it allows the user to equip it with a suppressor or an extended barrel, both of which provide great non-recoil control benefits. With the suppressor, Zero could shoot his targets without providing them with a directional threat indicator of where he is. The gunshots from the SC3000K will also be much more silent, making it difficult to hear where he’s shooting from. As for the extended barrel, it will increase the damage from the SC3000K by 12%, and will greatly reduce its range damage drop-off, ensuring the Zero will be inflicting heavy damage, regardless of the distance.

What makes the SC3000K great:

  • Has a wide range of attachments available to it so the user can customize it according to the situation or the map
  • Has a very manageable stock recoil which frees the user to equip a non-recoil control barrel attachment as long as he’s using a vertical grip
  • Can make short work of enemies due to its fast rate of fire which, at 800, is faster than most assault rifles
  • Has the extended barrel available to it which will make its damage even higher and its range damage drop-off lower
  • Can also be equipped with a suppressor which will be of great help to Zero when it comes to not giving away his position

Weapon stats:

  • Damage - 45
  • Fire rate – 800 RPM
  • Capacity – 25 + 1

8. PDW9

Speaking of guns with manageable recoil, the PDW9 is one of the best. It may not inflict as much damage as the SC3000K above, but what makes it amazing is that it has a fast rate of fire for a submachine gun, and despite that fast rate of fire, its recoil remains very manageable. It inflicts a very decent amount of damage per shot, and its main strength is its huge magazine capacity. With fifty bullets per magazine and its manageable recoil, the user will be able to fire long sprays without losing much control.

Having a huge magazine capacity goes a long way when it comes to dealing with multiple enemies at the same time, because it lessens the chances of you having to reload in the middle of a gunfight. What’s more is that the scope 1.5x is also available to the PDW9, and it’s great for the operators who have this weapon which are Jackal and Osa since they operate mostly at close to medium range. The scope 1.5x on their PDW9 will provide them with a good amount of zoom for them to be able to target their enemies well while also not compromising a lot when it comes to peripheral view.

What makes the PDW9 great:

  • Has a huge magazine capacity which makes it less likely to have to be reloaded while in the middle of a gunfight
  • Has a very manageable stock recoil so the user could just equip a vertical grip to it and take advantage of other, non-recoil control providing attachments for its barrel
  • Has a scope 1.5x available as one of its sights and it’s perfect for the distance where Jackal and Osa usually operates
  • Despite its huge magazine capacity, due to its detachable magazine, it can be reloaded quite fast.
  • Has the extended barrel available to it which would make its damage higher, eliminating its biggest drawback which is its relatively low damage
  • Has a suppressor available to it which is great for Jackal’s role of hunting roamers due to its great stealth benefits

Weapon stats:

  • Damage - 34
  • Fire rate – 800 RPM
  • Capacity – 50 + 1

7. M4

Maverick’s M4 assault rifle deserves a spot in this list, not just because it probably has the best default skin among all the attacker guns in the game, but because of the advantages it brings to its user. The M4 is fully automatic, inflicts heavy stopping power per shot, has a very decent rate of fire, and its recoil is very controllable. And since its recoil is highly controllable, it allows the user to run it with a suppressor and that’s a very important barrel attachment for Maverick.

That’s because shots from weapons equipped with a suppressor won’t create a directional threat indicator, will have no muzzle flash, and its gunshots will be much more silent. Those perks work well with Maverick because his role involves him shooting opponents through the holes that he makes with his Breaching Torch. So with the suppressor on the M4, it will be much harder for enemies to guess which hole Maverick is shooting from. The M4 also has the scope 2.0x available to it which is great for Maverick because it will allow him to see enemies much better through the holes he’s made.

What makes the M4 great:

  • Has the scope 2.0x available to it which is the most balanced scope in the game and is perfect for Maverick’s role of shooting enemies on the other side of the wall
  • Its low recoil allows Maverick to attach a suppressor to its barrel which is perfect for his role, as long as the vertical grip is present to hold down its recoil
  • Can be used with a suppressor which, as mentioned above, is great for Maverick’s gameplay of shooting opponents on the other side of the wall through the holes he’s created
  • Can take down an enemy quickly due to its heavy stopping power coupled with its fast rate of fire
  • Can also be equipped with an extended barrel which will make its damage much higher, allowing Maverick to take out enemies quicker

Weapon stats:

  • Damage - 44
  • Fire rate – 750 RPM
  • Capacity – 30 + 1

6. M762

I used to ignore this gun whenever I played Zofia in the past, but after the rework on its recoil, and the massive recoil progression overhaul that made it much harder to hold the recoil of guns, especially of LMGs, the M762 became one of my favorite guns in the game. Not only does it inflict a heavy amount of damage per shot, its rate of fire is very decent too, and its recoil is now manageable enough for the user to equip it with a barrel attachment that provides other kinds of benefits than more recoil control.

Perhaps its only drawback is the unavailability of the extended barrel which would have been perfect for a heavily offense-oriented operator like Zofia, but the suppressor would still be a great barrel attachment for her M762. And since the M762 now has a manageable recoil, the vertical grip alone should be enough to handle its weapon kick, and the user will be free to run it with a suppressor which will allow Zofia to surprise her enemies more effectively. The M762 also has a scope 2.0x available to it which will really up Zofia’s accuracy.

What makes the M762 great:

  • Now has a very manageable recoil which allows the user to attach it with just one recoil control providing attachment
  • Has a fast rate of fire and high stopping power per shot which would allow Zofia to make quick work of her enemies
  • Can be equipped with a suppressor which will allow Zofia to surprise her opponents more effectively
  • Has a scope 2.0x available to it which will make enemies appear bigger on Zofia’s screen, and that will allow her to target them with better accuracy

Weapon stats:

  • Damage - 45
  • Fire rate – 730 RPM
  • Capacity – 30 + 1

5. OTs-03

Glaz’s OTs-03 has a feature that all of the other guns in this list don’t have, and that is its thermal flip sight, and it’s mainly the reason why it’s one of the best attacker weapons. The thermal flip sight allows Glaz to easily differentiate his enemies from all the objects and backdrops on the map because it highlights them in a bright yellow hue. This thermal sight really increases the user’s accuracy and reaction time, and on top of that, it even allows Glaz to see enemies behind a smoke grenade or Sens’ R.O.U. Projector System.

That makes Glaz a very dangerous attacker to deal with, especially when the defenders have no idea that he’s present in the attacking team. The OTs-03's flip sight also has a 4x zoom level which is the third highest zoom level in the game. Of course, the flip sight isn’t called that without a purpose. The flip sight on this weapon allows Glaz to switch between the thermal 4x zoom level scope and the regular 1.0x sight. That means with just one button, the OTs-03 can turn from a long-range menace, into a devastating weapon at close range.

What makes the OTs-03 great:

  • Has a thermal sight which will allow the user to easily differentiate enemies from all the objects and backdrops on the map
  • Has a very high zoom level at 4x and that will allow Glaz to frag his opponents with deadly accuracy
  • Allows the user to quickly switch to a 1.0x sight when they sense that a close range encounter is imminent
  • Has a very manageable recoil so equipping it with a suppressor instead of the muzzle brake will not really have negative effect when it comes to handling its weapon kick
  • Inflicts heavy damage per shot, heavier than most sniper rifles in the game, and it has a high penetration power
  • Bigger magazine capacity than most marksman rifles in the game

Weapon stats:

  • Damage - 71
  • Fire rate – 380 RPM
  • Capacity – 15 + 1

4. 556XI

The 556XI assault rifle, available to Thermite and Osa, is one of the most underrated guns in the game. That may be because it doesn’t really have anything flashy about it, but if you analyze its qualities, you’ll realize that it’s really one of the best attacker guns in the game. Its damage is higher than many assault rifles, it has a very decent rate of fire, has a low stock recoil, its magazine size is decent, and all sights that provide zoom levels 1.5x to 2.5x are available to it. So not only are its stats very solid, it's also highly customizable according to the playstyle that the user wants to incorporate.

It’s really a great weapon for Thermite and Osa because they’re also versatile operators who can excel in the front lines or on the back line. Because the 556XI is highly customizable, the user can equip it with the scope and attachments that will provide them with the best advantage when it comes to the gameplay that they’re expecting to perform in the round. Another great thing about the 556XI is that it’s one of those guns where a vertical grip is enough to control its recoil so the user can choose a non-recoil providing attachment for its barrel instead.

What makes the 556XI great:

  • Has a very manageable recoil which allows the user to equip a non-recoil control providing attachment like the suppressor to its barrel as long as the vertical grip is present
  • Has all the scopes available to it from the 1.0x sights to the scope 2.5x which allows the user to customize it according to the map and situation
  • Has a very decent rate of fire and high damage per shot which makes it a great weapon for taking enemies down quickly
  • Can be equipped with a suppressor which will allow its user to shoot enemies silently and without a directional threat indicator

Weapon stats:

  • Damage - 47
  • Fire rate – 690 RPM
  • Capacity – 30 + 1

3. T-95 LSW

Ying’s T-95 LSW has all the qualities you’d want in a gun, and that’s why its ranking in this list is so high. It has high damage, manageable recoil, decent rate of fire, has a wide variety of attachments available to it, huge magazine capacity, and most of all, despite being a light machine gun, its reload speed is fast because of its detachable magazine. Ying is one of the most effective entry-fraggers because of these qualities on her T-95 LSW. With its high damage and decent rate of fire, Ying can make short work of enemies that were blinded by her Candelas.

And when it comes to dealing with multiple enemies at the same time, the T-95 LSW can fire eighty bullets before needing to be reloaded, so there’s much less chance for Ying to have to reload while in the middle of a gun fight. Instead, she can keep dishing out suppressive fire on her enemies and chances are, they’d have to reload first before she does. The availability of all the scopes from 1.0x to 2.5x is also one of the main strengths of this gun because it allows Ying to customize the weapon according to the map that she’s playing in.

What makes the T-95 LSW great:

  • Has a huge magazine capacity which makes it perfect for suppressive fire and dealing with multiple enemies
  • Can inflict heavy damage per shot and has a fast rate of fire making this weapon an offensive powerhouse
  • Has all the zoom levels available to it from 1.0x to 2.5x which allows Ying to customize it according to the map and the user’s playstyle
  • Can be reloaded quite fast even though it’s a light machine gun and has a huge magazine capacity, due to its detachable magazine.
  • Can be equipped with a suppressor which is just perfect for Ying’s role especially since her Candelas only blind enemies and doesn’t deafen them

Weapon stats:

  • Damage - 46
  • Fire rate – 650 RPM
  • Capacity – 80 + 1

2. PARA-308

The Para-308 assault rifle ranks so high in this list because like its original owner, Capitao, this gun is one of the most underrated guns in the game, and now that it’s been added for Brava, there’s more reason to love this excellent gun. First off, the Para-308 inflicts heavy damage per shot, and those shots will be coming from a very decent rate of fire. And despite its heavy damage and decent rate of fire, the Para-308's recoil is very easy to handle, so the user can just equip a vertical grip to it and then a suppressor or an extended barrel for its barrel attachment

And that’s one of the reasons why the Para-308 is such a great gun. It provides the user with a choice between the suppressor and the extended barrel, and both of them provide great non-recoil control benefits. With the suppressor, the user will be able to shoot defenders without them immediately knowing where they’re shooting from, and with the extended barrel, the user will be inflicting more damage than normal. Its scope 1.5x is also the perfect sight for where its users, Capitao and Brava, operate in, which would mostly be at close to medium range.

What makes the PARA-308 great:

  • It inflicts heavy damage per shot especially when equipped with an extended barrel attachment
  • Has a scope 1.5x available to it which is just perfect for the distance that Capitao and Brava usually operates in
  • Has a very manageable recoil so even just the vertical grip is enough to hold down its weapon kick
  • Has a wide variety of attachments available to it making it highly customizable according to the situation and the user’s playstyle
  • Can be equipped with a suppressor which will allow the user to shoot enemies with silent gunshots and without providing them a directional threat indicator

Weapon stats:

  • Damage - 48
  • Fire rate – 650 RPM
  • Capacity – 30 + 1

1. V308

The V308 assault rifle is at the highest rank in the list because it has all the great qualities of most of the guns above. It has high damage, has a wide variety of attachments available to it, low recoil, fast rate of fire, and its reload animation is fast despite its huge magazine capacity. And speaking of huge magazine capacity, it’s one of the assault rifles with the biggest magazine capacity. This allows Lion to lay down suppressive fire on his enemies and it makes him hard to beat, be it on a one on one encounter or even when he’s outnumbered.

All the scopes from the 1.0x sights up to the scope 2.5x are available to it as well, making it highly customizable according to the map. So when you’re playing on a map with a lot of long angles, you can just simply equip it with a scope 2.0x or 2.5x, and when the map has a lot of tight angles, then running with a scope 1.5x would be a great idea. And since its recoil is very manageable, the user can choose the suppressor for its barrel attachment instead of the recoil-control providing ones, as long as the vertical grip is present, its overall recoil, even during long sprays should be very manageable.

What makes the V308 great:

  • Has a wide variety of attachments available to it, making it a highly customizable weapon according to the situation
  • Has all the sights available to it from the 1.0x ones to the 2.5x ones
  • Its stock recoil is very manageable and that allows the user to equip it with at least one non-recoil providing attachment
  • For an assault rifle, its magazine size is huge, making it a great weapon for laying down suppressive fire
  • Despite its huge magazine capacity, it can be reloaded quite fast due to its detachable magazine

Weapon stats:

  • Damage - 44
  • Fire rate – 700 RPM
  • Capacity – 50+1
