[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Gridlock Loadouts That Are Excellent

Top 5 Best Gridlock Loadouts in R6 Siege
The top five best loadouts when playing one of Rainbow Six Siege’s best area-denial operators

Gridlock’s special gadget, the Trax Stingers, are some of the most troublesome attacker utilities in the game. After being deployed, each of them will keep releasing round barbed mats that could cover a large area until a total of nineteen barbed mats have been released. Each of these barbed mats are capable of dealing heavy damage to enemies that will attempt to walk over them. Generally, Gridlock uses her Trax Stingers to block paths that enemy roamers could use for flanking her team. And it’s not just her Trax Stingers that make her a very troublesome attacker to deal with. She also has the weapons and utilities that makes her a very powerful operator even without her Trax Stingers.

5. M249 Saw with Scope 2.0x, Compensator, and Vertical Grip + SDP 9mm with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Smoke Grenade

The M249 Saw’s recoil is more manageable compared to most light machine guns in the game, but it has quite a rough horizontal recoil. That’s why for many players, when it comes to controlling the M249 Saw’s recoil, the best barrel attachment would actually be the compensator and not the flash hider. That’s because the compensator greatly reduces the M249’s recoil diamond size, therefore, greatly reducing its horizontal recoil as well as its random recoil in all directions. This usually results in more stable firing, especially while performing long sprays.

This loadout is really solid when it comes to offensive power because of the secondary weapon. Instead of utilities like the Super Shorty handgun or the gonne-6 hand cannon, you’ll be going in with a very reliable handgun in the SDP 9mm. With this handgun, you’ll be able to finish your enemies off effectively when your M249 Saw needs to reload while in the middle of a gunfight. And since the SDP 9mm has a muzzle brake and laser in this loadout, its recoil and hip fire will be very controllable and you’ll even be able to hit enemies at close range even without having to go into aim-down-sights stance.

Excels in:

  • Stabilizing the horizontal recoil of the M249 Saw with the compensator barrel attachment
  • Being able to see and target enemies well at medium to long-range with the scope 2.0x
  • Additional recoil control on the M249 Saw due to the vertical grip attachment
  • Fast reload speed and huge magazine capacity due to the M249 Saw LMG
  • Providing smoke cover with two smoke grenades in Gridlock’s arsenal
  • Having a reliable secondary weapon in the SDP 9mm when the M249 Saw needs to reload in the middle of combat

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - M249 Saw with Scope 2.0x, Compensator, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - SDP 9mm with Muzzle Brake and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Smoke Grenade

4. F90 with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip + Gonne-6 + Breach Charge

This loadout setup will provide the Gridlock player with the best recoil control on the F90. That’s because both the flash hider and the vertical grip are great at lowering the weapon’s vertical recoil, so having both of them in one weapon will really lower the weapon’s vertical kick. But additional recoil control isn’t the only benefit that players can get from the flash hider. It will also hide the F90’s muzzle flash, therefore, reducing the visual cues that enemies could react to when determining where Gridlock is shooting them from.

The secondary weapon and the generic gadget in this loadout are both extremely useful utilities. The gonne-6 hand cannon could be used by Gridlock for destroying troublesome defender gadgets like a Melusi Banshee, Maestro Evil Eye, bulletproof camera, or a deployable shield. The breach charges could be used for destroying unreinforced hatches, opening an entry point on an unreinforced wall, or for destroying portions of wooden floors above objective spots. That way, Gridlock would be able to perform a vertical play and even deploy her Trax Stingers from above.

Excels in:

  • Having the best recoil control a player could have when using the F90 because of the presence of both the flash hider and the vertical grip
  • Ability to perform vertical plays from above by destroying portions of the wooden floor using the breach charges
  • Being able to see enemies really well and strafe them with great accuracy due to the high zoom levels of the scope 2.0x
  • Ability to destroy a pesky bulletproof enemy gadget with the use of the gonne-6 hand cannon
  • Being able to perform sof breaching using the breach charges

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - F90 with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic gadget - Breach Charge

3. F90 with Scope 2.0x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip + Gonne-6 + Smoke Grenade

This loadout setup specializes in maximizing the damage output and potential of the F90 assault rifle through the use of the extended barrel attachment. The extended barrel greatly reduces the weapon’s range damage drop-off, and that means the user will be inflicting a good amount of damage per shot from the F90 regardless of the range. Another great thing with the extended barrel on the F90 is that its frame is actually quite short, so it will not have the drawback of opponents seeing your long barrel first when you’re peeking around corners.

The extended barrel doesn’t add any recoil control benefits, but since the F90 has a very manageable stock recoil, the vertical grip is really all you need for controlling this weapon. The scope 2.0x will provide you with an ample amount of zoom for you to be able to see enemies clearly, while also not sacrificing a lot when it comes to peripheral view because its frame doesn’t take up a lot of screen space. The two smoke grenades in this loadout will be great for providing cover to the team’s push and defuser plant attempt, and the gonne-6 hand cannon would be for destroying pesky bulletproof defender gadgets.

Excels in:

  • Maximizing the damage output and potential of the F90 due to the extended barrel reducing the weapon’s damage drop-off
  • Being able to target enemies really well because of the high zoom level from the scope 2.0x
  • Maintaining good recoil control on the F90 because of the vertical grip attachment
  • Ability to destroy a bulletproof defender gadget or an unreinforced hatch because of the gonne-6 hand cannon
  • Being able to provide cover for the attacking team’s push or defuser plant attempt using the two smoke grenades

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - F90 with Scope 2.0x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic gadget - Smoke Grenade

2. M249 Saw with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip + Super Shorty with Reflex B and Laser + Impact EMP

The M249 Saw, not to be confused with the regular M249 LMG that Capitao has, is easily the best light machine gun in the game. That’s because unlike most light machine guns, the M249 Saw variant doesn’t have the weakness that the other light machine guns have. And that is their very slow reload time. Because the M249 Saw has a detachable magazine, it can be reloaded just as easily as most assault rifles or submachine guns. So, when using the M249 Saw, the player can really just think of it as if she’s using an assault rifle with a huge magazine and high damage.

With this loadout setup, you’re going with the newest addition to the generic gadgets in the game which are the impact EMP grenades. Gridlock is one of the few operators that has been blessed with such a useful utility, and it’s her second-best generic gadget because it provides her with the ability to enable hard breaching, and that’s perfect for her role as a backline support and area-denial during post-plant plays. The Super Shorty shotgun on the other hand could be used by Gridlock for destroying unreinforced hatches or for creating entry points on unreinforced walls.

Excels in:

  • Destroying hard-breach preventing defender gadgets using the two impact grenades in your arsenal
  • Creating soft entry spots using the Super Shorty shotgun
  • Performing a vertical play by destroying wooden floors using the Super Shorty Shotgun
  • Providing suppressive fire using the M249 Saw’s huge magazine capacity
  • Having great recoil control on the M249 Saw with the flash hider and vertical grip working hand in hand to lower its vertical recoil
  • Being able to see and target enemies really well because of the high zoom level of the scope 2.0x

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - M249 Saw with Scope 2.0x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - Super Shorty with Reflex B and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Impact EMP

1. F90 with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + Gonne-6 + Smoke Grenade

While the M249 Saw is a very powerful and easy to use light machine gun, at the end of the day, the best primary weapon for Gridlock would still be the F90 assault rifle. That’s because its recoil is a lot easier to hold down compared to the M249 Saw. Therefore, the user will be free to attach a suppressor on its barrel, and that’s important because the suppressor is the best barrel attachment in the current meta. That’s because its damage reduction penalty on weapons have been removed, so now, the player can just take advantage of its great stealth benefits.

Its only remaining drawback really is that it doesn’t provide any additional recoil control benefits. But if the weapon it’s attached to has an already manageable recoil, then the user can just attach a suppressor to its barrel. With the suppressor, the player would be able to shoot enemies without them getting a directional threat indicator of where the shots are coming from. That means it could take a while for them to figure out the player’s current location, and that’ll prevent them from immediately and effectively counter firing.

Excels in:

  • Being able to strafe opponents with the F90 without giving them a directional threat indicator of where your shots are coming from
  • Gunshots from the F90 will be dampened, making it a lot harder for enemies to pinpoint your location through them.
  • Good recoil control on the F90 because of the vertical grip attachment
  • Being able to see and target enemies well at medium to long range due to the scope 2.0x high zoom level
  • Ability to destroy one pesky bulletproof defender gadget due to the gonne-6 hand cannon
  • Providing cover for the attacking team’s advance using the two smoke grenades in your arsenal

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - F90 with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - Gonne-6
  • Generic gadget - Smoke Grenade
