[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Wamai Loadouts That Are Excellent

Top 5 Best Wamai Loadouts in R6 Siege
The top loadouts for upping your game when playing the best anti-projectile defender in Rainbow Six Siege

As I said in the image caption above, Wamai is the best anti-projectile defender in the current meta. Yes, there are circumstances where Jager’s ADS special gadget is more effective when it comes to countering enemy projectiles, but I’m talking in general as an operator. Wamai is better than Jager not because of his special gadget but because the weapons and utilities he has available to him are better, and in this article, we’re going to talk about them and what’s the best combination of weapons and attachments for playing this very useful support operator.

5. MP5K with Red Dot A and Flash Hider + Keratos .357 with Suppressor + Proximity Alarm

Even though the MP5K’s recoil will remain manageable even with the absence of recoil benefit providing barrel attachments such as the flash hider, muzzle brake, or compensator, for a lot of players, it’s always great to maximize control over your weapons. And because the MP5K’s recoil pattern mostly only goes on straight vertical path, the best barrel attachment for controlling its recoil would be the flash hider because it specializes in lowering the weapon’s vertical recoil. With the flash hider on your MP5K, the weapon will feel like it almost has no recoil and you’ll be able to shoot it with great stability.

And since this loadout’s MP5K doesn’t have a suppressor, it would be great to attach it instead on your secondary weapon which is the Keratos .357. With a suppressed handgun, you’ll be able to shoot attacker drones or claymores without alerting enemies. This would be great to have when you have to flank your enemies and of course, flanking would be more effective the less your opponents are expecting you. For the generic gadget, the proximity alarm would be extremely helpful in detecting rushing enemies, especially flankers.

Excels in:

  • Great vertical recoil control from the flash hider
  • Reduction of visual cues that enemies could see you with because of the flash hider
  • Being able to shoot enemies and their gadget without giving away your position due to the suppressor on the Keratos. 357
  • User will be able to make lines of sight or murder holes because of the highly destructive Keratos .357
  • User and his team will not be caught off guard by rushes or flankers because of the proximity alarms

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - MP5K with Red Dot A and Flash Hider
  • Secondary weapon - Keratos .357 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Proximity Alarm

4. MP5K with Red Dot A and Extended Barrel + Keratos .357 with Suppressor + Proximity Alarm

This loadout setup maximizes the damage potential of the MP5K because the extended barrel will greatly lower the weapon’s range damage drop-off. That means that with the extended barrel, your MP5K will be inflicting high damage to your enemies even from medium to long range. The availability of the extended barrel is one of the reasons why a lot of players prefer the MP5K as Wamai’s primary weapon over the Aug A2. The only downside to it is that it doesn’t provide additional recoil benefits and if you’re peeking around corners, the enemy could see its long barrel first.

Also, with this loadout, you and your teammates will not be caught off-guard because of the proximity alarms. The proximity alarms are very underrated utilities because most of the time, they’re overshadowed by other utilities like the nitro cell or impact grenades. However, if there are others in your team that already have impact grenades for creating rotation holes, I recommend running with the proximity alarms. That way, sneaky flankers like Nokk will never catch you off guard and wipe your team from behind.

Excels in:

  • Maximizing the damage potential of the MP5K because of the extended barrel which will greatly reduce its range damage drop-off
  • Strafing enemies and disabling their gadgets without alerting them because of the suppressor on the Keratos .357
  • The Keratos .357 has a high destruction profile per shot and can be used as a utility for creating lines of sight
  • Proximity alarms will help you and your team to not get off guard by rushes or flankers
  • High rate of fire from the MP5K plus more damage output from the extended barrel will allow you to take enemies down quicker

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - MP5K with Red Dot A and Extended Barrel
  • Secondary weapon - Keratos .357 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Proximity Alarm

3. MP5K with Red Dot A and Suppressor + Keratos .357 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Impact Grenade

The MP5K’s recoil pattern only mostly goes vertical and that makes the weapon easier to control even without additional recoil control benefits from a barrel attachment. That is why for this loadout setup, you’ll be running the MP5K with a suppressor which is the best barrel attachment for this weapon. That is because the suppressor doesn’t reduce the weapon’s damage anymore but still retains its stealth benefits such as the great reduction to the weapon’s gunshot sounds, removal of its muzzle flash, and the hiding of its directional threat indicator.

That means you can be strafing at your opponents for a long time without them realizing where you’re shooting them from. This is great because it prevents opponents from immediately counter firing and of course this will increase the chances of you taking them out even before they can retaliate. And since your primary weapon can already shoot silently, your secondary weapon doesn’t need to. And that’s why for the Keratos .357, I recommend the muzzle flash for greatly lowering its recoil and the laser for tightening its hip fire. Which will enable you to shoot opponents effectively at close range even without going into an aim-down-sights stance.

Excels in:

  • Shooting enemies without giving your position away due to the removal of the weapon’s directional threat indicator from the suppressor
  • Enemies won’t see your weapon’s muzzle flash because of the suppressor
  • The suppressor will also greatly dampen the weapon’s gunshot sounds, reducing the chance of your enemies knowing your exact position through sound cues.
  • The Keratos .357 in this loadout will have great recoil control because of the muzzle brake
  • The Keratos .357 in this loadout will be effective at close range even without the user going into aim-down-sights because of its tight hip fire from the laser
  • User will be able to rework the map to his team’s advantage because of the impact grenades

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - MP5K with Red Dot A and Suppressor
  • Secondary weapon - Keratos .357 with Muzzle Brake and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Impact Grenade

2. Aug A2 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider + Keratos .357 with Suppressor + Impact Grenade

For the players who prefer the higher damage and better recoil of the Aug A2, this loadout would be great for ensuring that its recoil would be very controllable and would provide great stability and pinpoint accuracy to the user. That’s because the flash hider will greatly lower the Aug A2’s vertical recoil, and if you look at the weapon’s image recoil pattern, its recoil really only mostly goes vertical. Its recoil diamonds are quite tight so it’s not prone to horizontal recoil, and this is why the flash hider is a great barrel attachment for it.

Now because the Aug A2 in this loadout will be noisy when shooting, it would be great to have your secondary, the Keratos .357 handgun run with a suppressor. That’s for cases when you need to shoot attacker drones while trying to not give away your position to the enemies. The suppressor is a great attachment to the Keratos .357 handgun because even without the muzzle brake, its recoil will be very manageable. As for the generic gadget, the impact grenades will be useful in reworking the map to your team’s advantage.

Excels in:

  • Great recoil control when using the Aug A2 because of the flash hider
  • Removal of the muzzle flash from the Aug A2 could result in your opponents not immediately seeing you when you shoot them
  • Being able to shoot opponents and their gadgets without alerting them due to the suppressor on the Keratos .357
  • Impact grenades will let you rework the map to your advantage by creating rotation holes
  • High destruction profile per shot from the Keratos .357 will allow you to use it as a utility for creating lines of sight or murder holes

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - Aug A2 with Red Dot A and Flash Hider
  • Secondary weapon - Keratos .357 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Impact Grenade

1. Aug A2 with Red Dot A and Suppressor + Keratos .357 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Impact Grenade

The Aug A2 takes the cake when it comes to Wamai’s primary weapon even though the MP5K is also an excellent weapon. That is because the Aug A2 has much higher damage than the MP5K and it also has better recoil. The MP5K sure has a better rate of fire but a difference of eighty isn’t really that big. And that’s why the Aug A2 takes the number one spot in this list, but it’s not just simply the Aug A2. What really takes the number one spot is the suppressed Aug A2, because the suppressor will provide the user with great stealth benefits with almost no drawback.

As we all know by now, the devs have recently removed the damage penalty from the suppressors, so the only drawback to using it is that it doesn’t provide any recoil control benefits. However, the Aug A2’s recoil will remain very manageable even without additional recoil control from a barrel attachment, and that is why the user is free to enjoy the benefits from the suppressor. Such as being able to shoot enemies without providing them a directional threat indicator of where your shots are coming from, removal of the weapon’s muzzle flash, and of course, greatly dampening its gunshot sounds.

Excels in:

  • Strafing enemies without them immediately knowing where you’re shooting from because of the removal of the weapon’s directional threat indicator from the suppressor
  • The suppressor will greatly dampen the weapon’s gunshot sounds so opponents won’t pinpoint your location through your gun’s sound cue easily
  • Removal of the Aug A2’s muzzle flash could lessen the chance of enemies seeing you through that particular visual cue
  • Great recoil control on the Keratos .357 from the muzzle brake
  • User will be able to hit enemies well with the Keratos .357 even without going into aim-down-sights stance because of the tight hip fire from the laser
  • Ability to rework the map to your team’s advantage with the use of the impact grenades

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - Aug A2 with Red Dot A and Suppressor
  • Secondary weapon - Keratos .357 with Muzzle Brake and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Impact Grenade
