[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best IQ Loadouts That Are Excellent

The top five best loadouts for IQ in R6 Siege
Updated:
15 Sep 2024

Most of the huge changes that came to the game with the Year 9 update affected weapons and their attachments. Meaning IQ, being one of the operators who has access to a wider variety of them, is one of the operators that really deserves a closer look in terms of her best loadout options.

A very versatile intel gatherer operator, she uses her Electronics Detector to scan enemy electronic gadgets in real time which allows her to disable them easier than most attackers can. In this article, we’re going to examine the best weapons, attachments, and utilities that can help maximize her effectiveness in performing her role in Siege matches.

5. 552 Commando with Magnified A, Suppressor, Angled Grip, and Laser + P12 with Suppressor + Claymore

IQ's 552 Commando will have a really fast reload speed with in this setup
IQ's loadout that will provide the user with stealth and fast reload speed

Before the game altering changes that came to Siege in the Year 9 update, the 552 Commando with a suppressor was my best primary weapon for IQ. That means that while this loadout setup is placed at the last of this list, it remains a very viable option. That’s especially because it features one of the newest things in Siege, and that’s the angled grip. Well, the angled grip itself is not new, but its effect has now been changed from providing an aim-down-sight speed boost to providing a reload speed bonus.

The reload speed boost from the angled grip is nothing to scoff about, especially because it’s quite substantial at 20%. With this loadout setup, IQ will be able to handle engagements with multiple enemies better because the angled grip will allow her to get back to firing at opponents when her 552 Commando needs to be reloaded. Of course, the main thing about this loadout setup is the suppressor on the 552 Commando which will make its shots much more silent, and not create a directional threat indicator as well as muzzle flash that could immediately tell the opponents where IQ is shooting from.

Excels in:

  • The angled grip on IQ’s 552 Commando will allow her to handle encounters with multiple enemies better than normal because it will provide her with a 20% reload speed boost on the weapon
  • The suppressor on IQ’s 552 Commando assault rifle will greatly silence its gunshots, making it harder for enemies to learn where IQ is shooting from through the game’s audio
  • The suppressor on IQ’s 552 Commando will also hide its muzzle flash and directional threat indicator, making it even harder for enemies to know where IQ is shooting from especially from thirty meters and further
  • The suppressor on IQ’s P12 handgun will allow her to shoot enemy gadgets that she’s detected with her special gadget much more silently. Lowering the chances of enemies knowing where she is.
  • The two claymores that IQ will be carrying with her will allow her to protect herself from roamers and flankers while she’s focusing on detecting and disabling enemy electronic gadgets

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - 552 Commando with Magnified A, Suppressor, Angled Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - P12 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Claymore

4. AUG A2 with Magnified A, Flash Hider, and Laser + P12 with Suppressor + Frag Grenade

Image

Excels in providing the best recoil on the AUG A2
The best setup for players who prefer the AUG A2 as IQ's primary weapon

The main reason why the AUG A2 is not that popular to most IQ players is because it lacks customizability, and its recoil is harder to control compared to the alternatives. That's despite its recoil pattern image making it look like its horizontal and random recoil from all directions are low. The reality is that its vertical recoil is strong enough to make it so that most players will also find it hard to handle its horizontal and random recoil from all directions.

With that said, it has things going on for it that makes it a viable weapon for IQ. That’s mainly its higher rate of fire compared to the two alternatives, and it does provide IQ a +5% movement speed bonus despite not having a horizontal grip. That’s why this loadout setup is for IQ players who prefer the AUG A2 as their primary weapon and like to play aggressively. The flash hider on its barrel is very important though because as I mentioned before, this weapon has a strong vertical recoil, and most players will need a flash hider to be able to control it well.

Excels in:

  • The flash hider on IQ’s AUG A2 assault rifle will greatly lower its overall vertical recoil, allowing the user to control its rough recoil better. The flash hider will also hide the weapon’s muzzle flash.
  • The laser on the AUG A2 assault rifle will play a major role in IQ’s gameplay, because it’s important for her to be able to aim her primary weapon fast after switching from her P12 handgun
  • The magnified A 2.5x scope is now the practically the best scope in the game because it provides users with a high zoom level, reticle that doesn’t obstruct the view a lot, as well as a main frame that doesn't take up much screen space
  • Being able to disable enemy electronic gadgets even through soft walls or wooden floors is one of IQ’s biggest strengths, and with a suppressor on her P12, she can do that more effectively and stealthily
  • The two frag grenades in IQ’s arsenal are great partners to her Electronics Detector because she can also use them for disabling enemy gadgets that she’s detected

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - AUG A2 with Magnified A, Flash Hider, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - P12 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Frag Grenade

The AUG A2's weapon kick can be challenging even with this setup, so you better pace your shots well!

3. G8A1 with Magnified A, Flash Hider, Horizontal Grip, and Laser + P12 with Suppressor + Breach Charge

Image
image
Excels in high magazine capacity, low recoil, and movement speed.
The best setup for IQ players whose go-to primary weapon is the G8A1 LMG

The G8A1 is the light machine gun that’s available to IQ. But before you skip this entry thinking that it’s your typical LMG, you should read more. That’s because this light machine gun functions and feels more like an assault rifle. It doesn’t have the very slow reload speed that the typical light machine gun has, and it also doesn’t have a very rough recoil. Its fast reload speed compared to most LMGs is due to its detachable magazine. Though of course, the game needs to balance that out with something.

And that something is its magazine capacity. With fifty bullets per magazine, it’s not as huge as your typical LMG. However, in the grand scheme of things, it’s still big. So you can think of this weapon as an assault rifle with a huge magazine capacity. The good thing is that, now in Siege’s year 9, it can be equipped with a high-powered scope. It can also be equipped with the horizontal grip which will provide IQ with a +5% movement speed bonus when she’s holding the weapon. Allowing her to catch up to her teammates faster after scanning and detecting enemy electronic gadgets.

Excels in:

  • Having a light machine gun in IQ’s G8A1 which has a huge magazine capacity, manageable recoil, and good reload speed. Making it essentially an assault rifle with the advantages an LMG
  • The flash hider on the barrel of IQ’s G8A1 will lower its overall vertical recoil control, allowing her to control the weapon well even during suppressive fire which she can perform due to the weapon’s huge magazine capacity
  • The horizontal grip on IQ’s G8A1 light machine gun will provide her with a +5% movement speed boost which can also make it a bit harder to hit, therefore, increasing her survivability
  • The suppressor on IQ’s P12 handgun plays a major role in her gameplay as it will allow her to shoot enemy gadgets she’s detected with her Electronics Detector with much less chance of giving away her position
  • The three breach charges in IQ’s arsenal will allow her to create entry points on unreinforced walls and hatches, as well as use them for destroying the wooden floor above the objective spot during a vertical play

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - G8A1 with Magnified A, Flash Hider, Horizontal Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - P12 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Breach Charge

I only lost control of the recoil on the last few shot, but the first 40 or so shots were easy to manage.

2. 552 Commando with Magnified A, Flash Hider, Horizontal Grip, and Laser + P12 with Suppressor + Frag Grenade

Image

Provides the best recoil control on IQ's 552 Commando
IQ will have great recoil control on her 552 Commando on this one, as well as enjoy a 5% movement speed boost!

For many IQ players, this loadout setup, especially on IQ’s 552 Commando, could easily be number one. That’s because it’s very balanced, and the more balanced, the more versatility you could have. With the flash hider, the 552 Commando’s overall vertical recoil will be greatly reduced, and that will up the user’s accuracy by a lot. Especially with it being partnered with the magnified A scope which will provide IQ with a 2.5x zoom, a reticle that doesn’t obstruct the view of the target’s body parts, as well as a main frame that doesn’t eat up much screen space.

The horizontal grip will also be great for IQ since the +5% movement speed from it can make her harder to hit, especially when she’s sprinting. It’ll also allow her to catch up with her teammates’ push, which is important because IQ has a tendency to slow down and be left behind when she’s focusing on detecting enemy electronic gadgets. As for the two frag grenades in this setup, they will be great for IQ when she needs to destroy enemy electronic gadgets she’s detected that can’t be disabled by her P12 handgun.

Excels in:

  • The magnified A scope on IQ’s 552 Commando assault rifle will provide IQ with a 2.5x zoom, allowing her to see her targets well, as well as a reticle and main frame that doesn’t sacrifice a lot of screen space
  • The flash hider on IQ’s 552 Commando assault rifle will greatly lower its overall vertical recoil, making it even easier for her to handle its weapon kick, which will enhance her accuracy by a lot
  • The horizontal grip will allow IQ to move +5% faster when she’s holding the 552 Commando, and that’ll increase her survivability as well as make it easier for her to coordinate with teammates’ movements.
  • The laser on IQ’s 552 commando assault rifle will provide her with a +10% aim-down-sight speed boost which will be a great help when she needs to frag an opponent right after switching from her Electronics Detector
  • The two frag grenades in her arsenal will provide her more ways in destroying enemy electronic gadgets that she’s detected, especially those that can’t be simply disabled by her P12 handgun

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - 552 Commando with Magnified A, Flash Hider, Horizontal Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - P12 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Frag Grenade

1. 552 Commando with Magnified A, Extended Barrel, Vertical Grip, and Laser + P12 with Suppressor + Claymore

IQ's loadout that specializes in inflicting the highest damage possible
This setup will bring you the highest offensive power when playing operator IQ

I put this loadout setup in the number one spot because it’s what will work best with IQ’s gameplay and role. When playing IQ, will have to use her Electronics Detector a lot, and while using that, you’ll only be able to use the P12 pistol. While the P12 pistol is a great handgun, it will be at a disadvantage when it comes to facing fully automatic weapons in general. That’s why when IQ encounters an enemy suddenly while using her Electronics Detector, it’s in her best interest to switch to her primary weapon.

With the extended barrel on IQ’s 552 Commando, she’ll be able to finish off an enemy quickly. That’s because the extended barrel will greatly increase its damage, while also lowering the weapon’s range damage reduction. That’s why this loadout setup will be great for sudden enemy encounters. The faster IQ can put down her enemy, the better. The laser attachment will also play a major role, because it will allow IQ to aim at enemies faster with her 552 Commando right after switching from her Electronics Detector.

Excels in:

  • IQ being able to inflict higher damage than normal from her 552 Commando assault rifle due to the extended barrel now increasing the base damage of weapons while also lowering their range damage drop off
  • IQ being able to maintain a good amount of recoil control on her 552 Commando assault rifle due to the vertical grip which specializes in lowering the overall vertical recoil of weapons
  • Having a faster than normal aim-down-sight speed on IQ’s 552 Commando due to the laser attachment which will grant the user a +10% ADS speed boost on the weapon
  • The suppressor on the P12 handgun will allow IQ to disable enemy electronics she’s detected through her special gadget silently, especially through soft walls and wooden floors
  • IQ having the capability to protect herself from roamers, run outs, and flankers, while she’s focusing on detecting and disabling enemy electronics, due to the presence of the two claymores in her arsenal

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - 552 Commando with Magnified A, Extended Barrel, Vertical Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - P12 with Suppressor
  • Generic gadget - Claymore
