When Siege players think of Maestro, it’s a guarantee that the first thing that comes to their minds is his special gadget, the Evil Eye. It’s one of the most troublesome gadgets in the game, not only because it’s mostly bulletproof, but also because it’s an excellent intel gathering utility which can also shoot lasers that can disable gadgets.

But Maestro also has access to an array of weapons, attachments, and utilities that when set up properly, can really maximize his effectiveness in the field. And since most of the biggest changes that came with the year 9 update affected those aspects in the game, it’s just right for us to have an up-to-date review on his best loadout setups.

5. ALDA 5.56 with Holo A, Flash Hider, Vertical Grip, and Laser + Bailiff 410 with Laser + Observation Blocker

Both the flash hider and vertical grip will greatly lower the ALDA 5.56's vertical recoil
Bringing the best vertical recoil on the ALDA 5.56

As with many weapons in the game, when you lower their vertical recoil, you'll be able to manage their weapon kick much better. That's why the combination of the flash hider barrel attachment and the vertical grip is a very viable setup for Maestro's ALDA 5.56. With both of those attachments present in the weapon, Maestro will have good accuracy with his unique LMG. Plus, the muzzle flash on the weapon will be hidden by the flash hider, making it so that his shots are less noticeable by the attackers.

The laser on the ALDA 5.56 is also an important factor in this setup, and that’s because it’ll give Maestro a +10% aim-down-sight speed boost. That will make it faster and easier for Maestro to aim his LMG right after switching from controlling his Evil Eye from the observation tool mode. As for his secondary weapon, the bailiff 410 is a revolver shotgun which has a high destruction rate per shot. Maestro will find a lot of use for it because through it, he can create rotation holes and lines of sight on unreinforced walls.

Excels in:

  • The flash hider on Maestro’s ALDA 5.56 LMG will greatly lower its vertical recoil, making it easier for him to manage its weapon kick, especially for longer sprays. It’ll also hide the weapon’s muzzle flash.
  • The vertical grip is a great partner to the flash hider on the barrel of Maestro’s ALDA 5.56 LMG because it’ll also further reduce the weapon’s vertical recoil and will really help with precision
  • The laser attached on the ALDA 5.56 plays an important role for Maestro because it’ll give him a +10% ADS speed boost which is great when he’s going to aim at enemies right after using his Evil Eye
  • Maestro having a great utility in the bailiff 410 revolver shotgun, as he can use it for creating rotation holes, lines of sight, as well as destroy other destructible surfaces for the placement of his Evil Eyes
  • The observation blocker is a great secondary gadget for Maestro because it can block enemy drones’ vision, and he can use that to hide his Evil Eye placements, which is really useful especially against Twitch’s and Brava’s unique drones

Build details:

  • Primary weapon - ALDA 5.56 with Holo A, Flash Hider, Vertical Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - Bailiff 410 with Laser
  • Generic gadget - Observation Blocker

4. ALDA 5.56 with Holo A, Compensator, Vertical Grip, and Laser + Bailiff 410 with Laser + Impact Grenade

The compensator will lower the Alda 5.56's horizontal recoil and the vertical grip will lower its vertical weapon kick
Providing Maestro with a good balance between horizontal and vertical grip

If what you’re looking for is to have the best recoil control possible on Maestro’s ALDA 5.56, this loadout setup is for you. That’s because it will contain a good balance between horizontal and vertical recoil control. The compensator on the ALDA 5.56’s barrel will be what’s going to provide the horizontal recoil while the vertical grip will reduce the weapon’s overall vertical recoil. With both of these attachments present on the Maestro’s ALDA 5.56 LMG, he’ll have an easy time controlling its weapon kick and shooting it at opponents with great precision.

The holo A as its sight is also a great attachment for it, especially when partnered with the laser. The holo A will provide a +5% ADS speed boost while the laser will provide +10%. Those two attachments will be very handy for Maestro, especially when he’s about to shoot at opponents right after switching to his ALDA 5.56 LMG from controlling his Evil Eyes. Because with them, he’ll be able to aim faster, and in Siege, the one that’s able to aim faster has a very big advantage in winning the gunfight.

Excels in:

  • The compensator reduces the horizontal recoil of weapons by 35%, which is a big buff from the previous 17%. So for weapons like the ALDA 5.56 that has a strong horizontal recoil, the compensator is a great barrel attachment
  • The vertical grip attached to the ALDA 5.56 LMG will greatly reduce its vertical recoil, and that will make its gunshots a lot more stable and easier to hold for Maestro, especially when he’s shooting it in long sprays
  • The laser attachment on Maestro’s ALDA 5.56 LMG will provide him with a +10% aim-down-sight speed boost while the holo A 1.0x sight will add another 5% to that, making the weapon faster and easier to aim
  • The bailiff 410 revolver shotgun will be a great utility for Maestro when it comes to creating rotation holes and lines of sight on unreinforced walls, which are great for outmaneuvering enemies
  • The two impact grenades in Maestro’s arsenal will allow him further capability to rework the map to his and his team’s advantage. He can also use them to counter shield operators such as Blitz and Osa.

Build details:

  • Primary weapon - ALDA 5.56 with Holo A, Compensator, Vertical Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - Bailiff 410 with Laser
  • Generic gadget - Impact Grenade

3. ACS12 with Magnified A, Angled Grip, and Laser + Keratos .357 with Suppressor and Laser + Barbed Wire

The ACS12 will have a +20% reload speed boost in this setup
Providing Maestro with the best reload speed on his ACS12

The ACS12 shotgun is the primary weapon of choice for many when playing Maestro. That's because in a lot of ways, it’s a more powerful weapon, and very convenient to use. The ACS12 is a slug shotgun. That means it shoots one slug per shot and is capable of hitting targets from any range, even long range. Also, unlike your typical shotguns, it’s capable of dealing headshots. On top of that, it’s fully automatic, its recoil is virtually almost non-existent, and its magazine capacity is very decent.

With the ACS12, Maestro players will also be able to see their targets better. That's because it can be equipped with a magnified A which is a 2.5x scope and has a main frame that doesn’t take up a lot of screen space. And since it’s technically a shotgun, its shots are capable of destroying wooden beams within unreinforced walls, and that means that it can be used for creating rotation holes which are very important in outmaneuvering enemies, be it for escaping from them or flanking them.

Excels in:

  • Having a great primary weapon in the ACS12 slug shotgun which has a very easy to control stock recoil, decent magazine capacity, and is capable of hitting targets at long range despite being technically a shotgun
  • The angled grip on the ACS12 will allow Maestro to reload the weapon 20% faster than normal, and that’s very helpful in high traffic situation where he’s dealing with multiple enemies at the same time
  • The magnified A as the ACS12’s sight will allow Maestro to see his targets very well regardless of the range he’s aiming from, because it will provide him with a 2.5x zoom level
  • The keratos .357 handgun with a suppressor will allow Maestro to shoot enemy gadgets silently, and it will be an excellent weapon for finishing off enemies when his primary weapon needs to be reloaded in the middle of combat
  • The two barbed wires in Maestro’s arsenal will be great for slowing down enemies and preventing the defending team from being caught off guard from the flanks

Build details:

  • Primary weapon - ACS12 with Magnified A, Angled Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - Keratos .357 with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Barbed Wire

As you can see, the ACS12 doesn't really need any additional recoil control from attachments.

2. ALDA 5.56 with Holo A, Flash Hider, Horizontal Grip, and Laser + Bailiff 410 with Laser + Impact Grenade

The horizontal grip will add more movement speed for Maestro when holding his Alda 5.56
Maestro will be able to carry his Alda 5.56 better with this setup

This is the best loadout setup for Maestro players who prefer using the ALDA 5.56 LMG as their primary weapon over the ACS12 shotgun. That’s despite this setup sacrificing some recoil control in favor of movement speed. That’s because for this setup, the Maestro will be running with the horizontal grip on his ALDA 5.56 LMG instead of the recoil providing vertical grip that is more commonly used. But for recoil control, the flash hider on the weapon’s barrel should be enough to make its recoil manageable, especially if the user paces their shots well.

The reason for this is because movement speed is very important for Maestro. It may not sound like a lot, but the +5% movement speed from the horizontal grip will allow Maestro to be faster in setting up his Evil Eyes during the prep phase, as well as responding to enemies that he’s detecting with them and needs to frag in operator mode. Maestro may be a 1-speed rating operator, but with the horizontal grip on his ALDA 5.56 LMG, he’ll feel a bit more like he has a 2-speed rating, which is really just helpful in general. It can also make him a bit harder to hit while moving.

Excels in:

  • Maestro being able to move faster than normal which will be great when he’s setting up his Evil Eyes during the prep phase because the horizontal grip on his ALDA 5.56 will give him a +5% movement speed boost
  • The flash hider barrel attachment on Maestro’s ALDA 5.56 LMG will be a big help for Maestro when it comes to managing the recoil of the weapon since it will lower its overall vertical recoil
  • The holo A 1.0x sight along with the laser will make it faster for Maestro to go into aim-down-sight stance on the ALDA 5.56 which is very helpful when he’s switching from controlling his Evil Eyes on the observation tool
  • The bailiff 410 revolver shotgun is a great secondary weapon for Maestro since it’ll allow him to rework the map to the defending team’s advantage, and at times can also be an effective weapon for fragging opponents
  • The two impact grenades in Maestro’s arsenal will be great for creating rotation holes quickly on unreinforced walls which are great for flanking or escaping enemies, as well as countering shield operators.

Build details:

  • Primary weapon - ALDA 5.56 with Holo A, Flash Hider, Horizontal Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - Bailiff 410 with Laser
  • Generic gadget - Impact Grenade

The ACS12 provides Maestro with more versatility
Ultimately, the ACS12 is the best weapon for Maestro.

The ACS12 shotgun may not be a unique weapon to Maestro, but ultimately, it’s what will make him the most effective in his gameplay and role, and that’s because it will provide him with the most versatility. And for players whose go-to primary weapon when playing Maestro is the ACS12 shotgun, this is going to be the best setup. That’s because as mentioned before, the horizontal grip on the weapon will provide Maestro with a +5% movement speed bonus, and that will really help him when it comes to setting up his Evil Eyes during the prep phase.

When he’s moving, he will also be a bit more difficult to hit because of the added movement speed. The best part is that with the ACS12 shotgun, Maestro will have access to the magnified A scope, which will provide him with a 2.5x zoom when aiming-down-sight on the weapon. With the laser also attached to the ACS12, Maestro will be able to go into aim-down-sight stance faster than normal, and since he can already use the weapon to rework the map with rotation holes and lines of sight, he can run with the keratos .357 handgun instead which has tremendous stopping power per shot.

Excels in:

  • Maestro having the capability to rework the map to his team’s advantage with rotation holes and lines of sight on unreinforced walls due to the ACS12 shotgun as his primary weapon
  • Being able to move 5% faster than normal because of the horizontal grip on Maestro’s ACS12 shotgun which will greatly help in placing the Evil Eyes during prep phase as well as overall gameplay
  • The magnified A scope on Maestro’s ACS12 shotgun will be a big up on Maestro’s accuracy due to the 2.5x zoom that it will provide him as well as its main frame which doesn’t take up a lot of screen space
  • Having a secondary weapon in the keratos .357 handgun which has a very high stopping power as well as destruction rate per shot, and is great for finishing off enemies when the primary weapon needs to be reloaded in the middle of combat
  • Being able to slow opponents down on narrow corridors and most flanking spots due to the two barbed wires in Maestro’s arsenal which are great for preventing the defending team from being caught off guard

Build details:

  • Primary weapon - ACS12 with Magnified A, Horizontal Grip, and Laser
  • Secondary weapon - Keratos .357 with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Barbed Wire
