Spider-Man Overview

Bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker went from a High School Outcast to one of America’s most iconic Superheroes.  Fueled by the death of his Uncle Ben, Spider-Man would swing valiantly through the sky, scale the tallest building, and utilize his Spidey Sense to seek out and stop crime.  From teen nerd to an icon, Spider-Man is a symbol for everyone.

Daredevil Overview

Blinded at a young age (In a situation that seemingly involves The Ninja Turtles Origin…look it up).  Matt Murdock was blessed with superhuman reflexes and an insane radar sense.  He grew up and became a prestigious lawyer within Hell’s Kitchen.  By day he would put the criminals of Hell’s Kitchen behind bars, and at night he would beat the living snot out of them.

How the Battle Would Go Down

Spider-Man and Daredevil

Spider-Man vs. Daredevil.  The fight has come to life on numerous occasions through the pages of the comic books and in the cartoon universe.  It would be an interesting fight, the statistics of both superheroes are very similar, both are extremely agile but in different respects, one can swing valiantly through the sky to attack his enemy while the other embodies characteristics that surpass the greatest Olympian.  It would be a close and grueling fight, but in the end…this fight goes to Spider-Man.

Don’t get me wrong I like Daredevil, I gained a tremendous amount of respect for him through Netflix’s fantastic series.(Please include him into the MCU for God’s sake, figure something out!).  As Matt Murdock he’s a highly prestigious lawyer for Hell’s Kitchen, due to this fact alone it proves that he has the smarts and he can keep a cool head in frantic situations.  Due to his blindness, every sense of his is heightened to the max, an Echolocative Radar Sense if you want to be scientific about it.  It can be argued that his heightened Radar Sense surpasses Spider-Man’s Spidey-Sense because he can sense heartbeat’s, temperature fluctuations, and even sense ink on paper with his fingertips.  Murdock’s  also a highly trained Martial Artist, and possibly the best Martial Artist in the entire Marvel Universe (except maybe Shang Chi?).  He’s trained with Stick, Elektra, Black Widow, and Shang Chi.  His Martial Arts expertise mixed with his heightened senses puts him at the peak performance for any man…this means he’s about as best as any normal man can be.  But…I don’t think he can best The Web-Head even with these impressive attributes.

Spider-Man has a very spectacular resume.  For starters he has an amazing amount of strength, being able to lift well over 10 tons.  We’ve seen him stop cars, stop trains and even lift massive chunks of building over his head.  His Spidey-Sense gives him the ability to dodge, duck and weave himself out of harm’s way, often controlling his body before he even realizes it (that’s why his body looks so crazy in comics and on film).  He’s gone head to head with the best and while he may not have won all of them he certainly put up a hell of a fight.  It’s Spider-Man’s overall strength in combination with his Spidey-Sense that will give him the upper hand in a fight with The Man Without Fear.

The fight between Spider-Man and Daredevil would be a great match.  Both heroes would go in with nothing but respect for the other so it wouldn’t be a fight to the death.  Now, I’m not saying this is going to be a squash match, I think a good amount of this has to do with overall circumstance.  If the fight were to take place inside of a building, I think Daredevil would have a much better chance at taking on The Web-Head.  In a building, Daredevil could utilize the numerous floors, and the walls to get a good feel of where Spider-Man is, and get the first move on him.  Regardless, I don’t see Spidey taking enough hits to go down for a loss, eventually he’d catch his bearings and get a few hits on Daredevil to gain the upper hand.

If the fight moves outside or starts outside, then the win goes to Spider-Man unanimously.  He can use the environment, a swing attack here, and a swing attack there, all while his Spidey-Sense helps him avoid Daredevil’s Martial Arts attacks. Yes, Daredevil would use his batons, but they’re no match for Spider-Man’s web-shooters.  Daredevil makes great use of those baton’s but if he misses a strike he’s webbed up and incapacitated.  There’s even a good chance his batons wouldn’t do much damage to Spider-Man due to his increased durability.  This fight wouldn’t end in a death or even a brutal beating but as a well-respected stalemate between colleges.

And the Winner is…

The Web-Slinger emerges victorious

Spider-Man hand’s down.  Hell…all eight hands down if he has that weird ability that gives him eight hands.  As I stated before this would be a good fight, and Daredevil would flightworthy opponent for The Web-Head.  But the key factor here is that Daredevil is still only a man, even if he is at peak ability, even if he’s the best man there can be…he’s still just a man.  Spider-Man has an array of superpowers…if anything he’d have to hold his punches back from killing the prestigious lawyer of Hell’s Kitchen.
