League of Legends released the patch notes for Patch 11.2 yesterday, detailing a variety of buffs and nerfs to champions, items, and runes, as well as the release of several new champion skins and a couple of key bug fixes.
Firstly, ‘/all chat’ has been disabled on a trial basis in several regions after the initial suggestion for this change generated a very mixed response between regions.
Secondly, there have been a variety of minor nerfs and buffs to a number of champions. Some of the champions that have received buffs include:
- Akshan
- Jinx
- Karthus
- Lux
- Sion
- Teemo
- Viego
- Xayah
The list of nerfed champions is significantly shorter:
- Graves
- Miss Fortune
- Quinn
A detailed description of individual buffs and nerfs is available in the patch notes that were released yesterday.
Three key items have received nerfs and buffs. The Goredrinker was proving too popular and even being used by classes that it was not originally intended for. As a consequence, it has been nerfed, with certain aspects pertaining to the ‘fighter’ class being buffed to maintain its usefulness to the class.
The Stridebreaker and Ironspike whip have also received minor buffs.
Several of the runes have been nerfed, one of these being the Conqueror rune. Players were using it outside of its intended purpose because it was so strong, making a nerf essential.
Besides nerfs and buffs, several new skins were announced in the patch notes. The patch has also fixed a number of bugs, one of these being that Nasus’s Siphon Strike did not destroy traps as it was supposed to. Another key bug that was fixed was that Warwick was not sensing weak, damaged enemies as he was supposed to.
