10. EYE: Divine Cybermancy (2011)
For the future is dark and full of options

Divine Cybermancy lets you play as the sole surviving member of a team of cybernetic warrior monks. Torn between loyalties, you quickly get caught in an escalating power struggle.
This game is an unbelievably complex FPS-RPG that places an incredible emphasis on giving you a ton of options for more or less any situation. EYE gives additional complexity to everything the genre is known for.
Not being user friendly at all, you will need to invest a lot of time to get the hang of this title, but once you do, it will become more than worth your while.
9. Alpha Protocol (2010)
A demonstration of Thornton’s Bond-like qualities

Agent Michael Thornton is sent to Saudi Arabia to assassinate a terrorist leader, but it all quickly goes downhill, and he is left to his own devices.
Alpha Protocol features an extensive Dialogue system that enables you to significantly affect the storyline. When you aren’t talking though, you are probably shooting things, and for these situations Michael can use up to 10 special skills. Michael’s abilities are also upgradeable, which is an interesting RPG element.
With a very strong and well-written interactive storyline opposed by an unpolished gameplay component, Alpha Protocol is a flawed gem, but a gem nonetheless.
8. Hitman: Absolution (2012)

Like in all Hitman games, by using a huge array of possibilities, you are to eliminate your given target within the designated area.
For all of us who enjoy stealthily eliminating a mark and leaving the area in style, Absolution has it all. Much like Agent 47 himself, the game is a no-frills, effective product.
7. Crysis 3 (2013)

Pick the approach you prefer (stealthy or guns blazing) and make you way through the game’s version of NYC. The powersuit you wear grants you access to various special abilities you can use to complement your playstyle.
Whether you're a fan of the series, or simply enjoy high quality fun, you can't go wrong with this one.
6. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (2015)

Here it comes. The final piece of the puzzle is near, and the gaming world will probably never be the same. With more options than any other Metal Gear Solid games, and the unpredictable storytelling by Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear as we know it is sure to go out with a bang.
5. Dishonored (2012)
The world is vivid and the gameplay is immersive

Corvo Attano, former bodyguard to a murdered Empress, seeks revenge against those who framed him for her murder. His quest will take him to the highest and the lowest parts of the steampunk city of Dunwall.
The title features gameplay reminiscent to that of Thief, sending you out to perform a specific goal, and letting you to decide on how to do it. Corvo has an upgradeable arsenal of gear and magical abilities, so the options are many and varied.
What sets Dishonored out from the rest is the way the game adapts to you as you adapt to it. Parts of each playthrough are randomized, and the rest of it further changes according to how you’ve played thus far. Highly recommended.
4. Mass Effect 3 (2012)
Years worth of storytelling, seasoned with a handful of whoop-ass

The last part in the story of Commander Shepard sends him on a galactic search for the mysterious Crucible, the key to victory against the advancing Reapers.
In the now classic MA fashion, the player uses the Normandy hub to access the main and optional missions that either move the story along or bring in more upgrades. The TPS aspect of the game has also been refined to a razor sharp point.
Even though the ending may be considered disappointing, Mass Effect 3 represents the culmination of everything Bioware has done with the beloved series since the first installment. The destination may be imperfect, but the journey is amazing.
3. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines (2004)
There has never been, nor will there ever be, a better vampire game

Having been turned into a vampire, you are thrown head-first into the sink-or-swim waters of bloodsucker intrigue.
After creating your own creature of the night, you are free to enjoy the game’s sandbox world and toolbox approach in any way you like. Bloodlines does not reward killing enemies, so a stealthy or talky way actually gives better rewards than slaughtering everything.
This title is the Tyrion Lannister of PC games: It killed its parents to come into this world, and in doing so captured the hearts of anyone who gave it a shot. Strong writing, great characters and an amazing atmosphere make the title a must play for everyone.
2. Fallout: New Vegas (2010)
The world can’t get much worse than this, so we might as well enjoy it

In case of post-apocalyptic scenario, please remember to dress for the occasion
New Vegas lets you control a character referred to as the Courier, who is gets double-crossed and left for dead. As in every good Western movie, our hero is not pleased with this treatment, and sets out for revenge as soon as he recovers.
This game takes everything that you liked about Fallout 2 and puts it into Fallout 3. Explore, finish optional quests, advance the main story, or do whatever you want. It’s all good.
With more of everything we are used to, and even the ability to finally put in cybernetics, Fallout: New Vegas is easy to recommend to anyone.

The graphics might be dated but the gameplay is certainly not
Waking up alone in what appears to be an empty spaceship, you soon find it to be full of mutated monsters. With no idea of what is going on, you try to escape with your life.
Fighting the monsters is generally discouraged, as it is usually a waste of time and resources, making your stealth and hacking skills invaluable. Completing quests grants your character cyber modules, which can be spent for ability upgrades.
System Shock 2 is the unpopular brother of Deus Ex. Both had the same potential, but the former was just too unnerving to be around and was eventually forgotten, while the latter thrived. Don’t be like the rest and give the game a chance. You won’t be disappointed.
