Enrichments give your characters a bit more boost when you are trying to get more resources in Guild Wars 2.
Enrichments give your characters a bit more boost when you are trying to get more resources in Guild Wars 2.

Enrichments were previously referred to as utility infusions. These one-of-a-kind upgrades could only be used to improve ascended amulets and had a variety of advantages. Enrichments are used to offer account bonuses based on the upgrade used on the ascended amulet. These are the best enrichments you can get for your characters, so let's find out which ones are the most widely used.

9. Otter’s Blessing Enrichment

Stats of Otter’s Blessing Enrichment

  • Increases Magic Find by 20%.
  • Adds a cosmetic animation of a spirit otter floating around you occasionally.

The Otter’s Blessing Enrichment is a great enrichment for your ascended amulet if you want to have increased Magic Find and don’t mind a bit of collection hunting. Most grab this enrichment because of the cute ghostly otter animation that sometimes pops up every now and again. It may be a bit time-consuming, but it is worth the wait.

What Otter’s Blessing Enrichment is great for

  • If you are looking for a technically free enrichment to boost your Magic Find stat, grab this enrichment.
  • Magic Find is always good to increase the odds of getting better loot in the game.
  • Magic Find can increase the chances of getting higher rewards during the Lunar New Year and the envelopes.
  • You can only attain one Otter’s Blessing Enrichment. Once you have it, you can pass it around your characters to whoever needs the boost in Magic Find.
  • It can be a form of bragging rights. Have we mentioned just how adorable the spirit otter animation is?

How to get it:

The Otter’s Blessing Enrichment can be acquired after completing the in-game achievement, Significant Otter, and using the Infusion Extraction Device or Ascended Salvage Tool on the reward item, an Ancient Norn Cape Pin. It can be a lengthy process to acquire it, but well worth the unique animation it has.

8. Magical Enrichment

Stats of Magical Enrichment

  • Increases Magic Find by 20%.

In Guild Wars 2, Magic Find dictates what loot you may receive from enemy drops or from bags and chests. Any sources of additional Magic Find can help would-be farmers during their quest for more gold. The Magical Enrichment serves as their best chance for attaining increased Magic Find in their ascended amulet because it is easy to acquire.

What Magical Enrichment is great for

  • Similar to the Otter’s Blessing Enrichment, it increases one’s Magic Find stat.
  • Just like the Otter’s Blessing Enrichment, it boosts your chances of gaining higher-level gear on enemy drops. Both, however, cannot affect some containers.
  • Once again, similar to Otter’s Blessing Enrichment, it can affect the chances of gaining higher rewards from the Lunar New Year Envelopes as it affects Magic Find as a whole.
  • You can top up your Magic Find additionally through the use of boosters, Magic Find guild banners, food, utilities, and this enrichment to further increase your odds during the event.
  • Unlike Otter’s Blessing Enrichment, you don’t have to go through hoops to get the enrichment, and is far simpler to get.

How to get it:

The Magical Enrichment can be easily purchased through several NPC vendors named Laurel Merchant for 20 laurels. Laurels are given to players as a reward for simply logging into the game. These NPCs can be found in every major city, Hall of Monuments, Hall of Memories, Osprey Pillars, Bay of Elon, and the Mistlock Sanctuary. You can easily identify them on the map thanks to the Laurel icon.

7. Gilded Enrichment

Stats of Gilded Enrichment

  • Increases gold dropped from killing enemies by 20%.

Everybody’s got to have gold. The more of it you have, the more you can spend on the Trading Post for whatever it is you fancy. The Gilded Enrichment can be used on your ascended amulet to further increase the amount of gold dropped from enemies.

What Gilded Enrichment is great for

  • It can increase the drop rate of gold dropped from enemies, albeit a minimal amount.
  • By itself, the amount is minimal, but when used with food and utility that can increase gold dropped from killing foes in PvE or World versus World, it can add up quickly.
  • The more gold you have, the more you can do in the game. It lets you purchase things from the trading store ranging from your character’s equipment to materials needed for crafting.
  • Gold enables you to gain several steps ahead during your quest for legendaries. Whether you choose to craft, loot, or purchase the precursors, you still need gold for the other materials needed.
  • It can also be very useful for guilds looking to upgrade their guild halls and provide their guildmates with useful and fun stations to hang around in.

How to get it:

The Gilded Enrichment can be easily purchased through several NPC vendors named Laurel Merchant for 20 laurels.

6. Experienced Enrichment

Stats of Experienced Enrichment

  • Increases experience gained from killing foes in PvE by 20%.

You have finally reached level 80, and the world has finally opened up to you, but why do you still receive experience points at max level? Level 80 is not the end of your leveling journey, but the beginning, since your experience points now go to both leveling up your masteries and attaining more spirit shards. Spirit Shards are valuable currencies used to purchase special items in-game, such as the highly coveted and rare Mystic Coins and Clovers.

What Experienced Enrichment is great for

  • The Experienced Enrichment increases experience gained from killing foes.
  • The effect is similar to what food, utility, and booster items provide and can be used simultaneously with them.
  • The more experience dropped from foes, the faster you can gain Spirit Shards OR Mastery.
  • You can hasten the process by joining maps that are doing events actively, specifically farming maps like Verdant Brink and Auric Basin during meta events.
  • This can speed up the process for those who have stockpiled experience boosters since the start of the game and want to do a mad farm for shards and Mystic Coins

How to get it:

The Experienced Enrichment can be easily purchased through several NPC vendors named Laurel Merchant for 10 laurels.

5. WxP Enrichment

Stats of WxP Enrichment

  • Increases World versus World experience gained by 10%.

World versus World is a fun game mode where players of one server and two allies defend their server’s borderlands against invading players from other servers. In the game mode, players can level up their WvW rank and gain additional benefits like loot and, if they are lucky, ascended gear. This is where the WxP Enrichment comes into play and lends a hand to those who want to raise their levels quicker.

What WxP Enrichment is great for

  • The WxP Enrichment aids players in the World versus World by increasing their WvW experience gained while in the game mode to level up their rank.
  • As players continue to raise their levels, they gain valuable loot and even earn a World Rank Chest. These may contain ascended gear along with Blueprints, Traps, or WxP boost items.
  • The increase in WvW experience allows players a much easier time to get the coveted God of WvW title, although it is still a challenging title to get.
  • Since it increases one's rank and players get loot, it becomes very important for serious players of WvW to raise their ranks and gain more blueprints that can help them to either defend their borderlands or invade other servers.
  • Players are also granted additional WxP for staying alive longer but they also need to be actively playing. You cannot simply AFK and expect to gain more WxP.

How to get it:

The WxP Enrichment can be purchased through the Laurel Merchant NPCs in World versus World. You will find them at the Blue or Green Alpine Borderlands, Red Desert Borderlands, Edge of the Mists, Obsidian Sanctum jump puzzle, Eternal Battlegrounds, or Armistice Bastion lounge area if you have a pass. The enrichment costs five laurels and 125 Badges of Honor.

4. WvW Reward Track Enrichment

Stats of WvW Reward Track Enrichment

  • Increases the World versus World Reward Track gain by 5%.

The World versus World Reward Track is the second thing to watch out for in World versus World. It is similar to the PvP Reward Track where each track rewards players with the 40th being the most coveted. The WvW Reward Track Enrichment increases the reward track gain whenever you progress.

What WvW Reward Track Enrichment is great for

  • The WvW Reward Track Enrichment is very useful for players looking to unlock certain rewards from the Reward Track.
  • Players need to be actively participating in the game mode for it to count in the progress bar. This can be done in a number of ways such as defending/killing dolyaks, defeating enemy players, capturing key points, participating in events, and many others.
  • Majority of players will be looking to unlock the Triumphant Armor, Legacy Armor, and Hero Weapon tracks because of the exclusive skins they provide.
  • The increased reward gain is useful for those looking to gain dungeon-exclusive armor sets without having to go and do dungeons with the various Dungeon Tracks.
  • There are also some holiday-exclusive reward tracks WvW players can opt to go for and enjoy the events.

How to get it:

The WvW Reward Track Enrichment can be purchased through the Laurel Merchant NPCs in World versus World. You will find them at Blue or Green Alpine Borderlands, Red Desert Borderlands, Edge of the Mists, Obsidian Sanctum jump puzzle, Eternal Battlegrounds, or Armistice Bastion lounge area if you have a pass. The enrichment costs five laurels and 125 Badges of Honor.

3. Koda’s Warmth Enrichment

Stats of Koda's Warmth

  • Increases Karma by 15%.
  • Adds a subtle fire effect on your character's chest.

Truth be told, the next three enrichments could easily vie for first place because their main effect is the same and is what players will mostly go for. Koda’s Warmth Enrichment provides players with increased Karma and a unique particle effect emanating from their chest, giving a warm glow. It is a great reward for a lengthy achievement hunt.

What Koda’s Warmth Enrichment is great for

  • Koda’s Warmth Enrichment increases Karma gained from various sources.
  • Out of all of the enrichments in Guild Wars 2, Karma may be the second currency more valuable than Gold due to the unique items it can purchase.
  • The enrichment can be considered a massive time and gold sink due to the achievement needed to acquire this unique item.
  • The enrichment grants players a fiery cosmetic aura that identifies it as being used on the ascended amulet.
  • Any item that can increase Karma will always be preferred by the player base.

How to get it:

This enrichment is technically free to get, although it is tied to an in-game achievement that can become costly. The achievement is the collection achievement, Koda’s Blessing

2. Celebratory Birthday Enrichment

Stats of Celebratory Birthday Enrichment

  • Increases Karma by 15%.
  • Adds a purple glow on your character's chest.
  • Occassionally shoots the Guild Wars 2 logo above your character with fireworks.

The Celebratory Birthday Enrichment is a wonderful present given to players who have been playing with their character for 8 years. Once equipped in an ascended amulet, it grants additional Karma to players. Every now and again, a unique animation will play and grant a cosmetic aura.

What Celebratory Birthday Enrichment is great for

  • Similar to the Karmic Enrichment, it boosts the Karma gained for players.
  • You gain increased Karma which you can use for unique loot in several events, especially in Wintersday.
  • Because it is given to players upon reaching their eighth year, it is one of the easier methods of getting the enrichment but may be difficult for players that may frequently delete characters.
  • Along with the enrichment, the loot contained in the Dedicated Anniversary Achievement Box is very valuable. It also contains an ascended amulet which you can select stats for to use the enrichment.
  • Technically it is a free enrichment when you first get it, but duplicates can be bought.

How to get it:

Players need to have a character reach its 8th birthday for them to receive a Dedicated Anniversary Achievement Box which contains said enrichment. Additional ones can be obtained via the Laurel Merchant NPCs in major cities for 25 laurels and five gold.

1. Karmic Enrichment

Stats of Celebratory Birthday Enrichment

  • Increases Karma by 15%.

The Karmic Enrichment sits at the very top of the enrichment pyramid, and for good reason. While Koda’s Warmth and Celebratory Birthday enrichments both do the same exact thing as the Karmic Enrichment without an animation, you gain the associated bonus effect for much less money and less work. It is also widely used by the majority of players, especially those who are preparing for the Wintersday holiday event.

What Karmic Enrichment is great for

  • Similar to both Koda’s Warmth and Celebratory Birthday Enrichments, the Karmic Enrichment increases Karma gained minus the obvious addition of the particle effects and animations.
  • The Karmic Enrichment can help increase Karma gained so you can use it for the Pact Scout’s Mapping Materials item and gain map bonuses.
  • Increased Karma gain prepares farmers for the Wintersday holiday and the amount of Wintersday Gifts they can purchase for Karma and then sell for gold in the Trading Post.
  • Karma gained can be converted to useful items via the Karmic Converter gizmo which can be used three times every day.
  • In a pinch, you can use the karma gains to trade for certain exotic gear in Orr maps via NPCs upon completion of certain temple events.

How to get it:

The Karmic Enrichment can be easily purchased through several NPC vendors named Laurel Merchant for 10 laurels.
