League of Legends: How To Buy Champions

The purchase and collection of champions that a player wishes to play and build a champion pool out of is a fundamental concept for climbing the ranks. This guide will show you the various ways of acquiring champions in League of Legends.

 

Blue Essence

Blue Essence is the in-game earnable currency in League of Legends whose main purpose is to trade them in to unlock champions. Acquiring blue essence is a bit challenging as it can only be obtained by leveling up, obtaining champion shards, completing missions, or purchasing it.

 

Champion Shards

Over time, the player will acquire champion shards that can be disenchanted to acquire blue essence or used to purchase a specific champion at a discounted price.

 

Step 1: From the client, head to the shop in the middle right section of the client.

Step 2: Select the “Champions” tab.

Step 3: Use the search bar to find the champion you wish to buy.

Step 4: Click on the champion icon and purchase them.
