Izzet is a spellslinger’s color. The cheap interactions that you can get from this color combination is a surefire way of being an aggressive counter deck. Aside from the counter spells and the loads of card draw, it also allows you to target your opponents with possible burn spells and swing at them with hasty red creatures.
