[Top 10] Persona 5 Best Armor That Are Powerful (And How To Get Them)

Untouchable Helps You Get Stuff
Untouchable Creeps Out Ryuji

Armor can be an important part of Persona 5 as it gives you extra defense and evasion as well as other stat improvements depending on the garment. Unfortunately, this does not translate to aesthetics as you cannot see them on your character’s body. Despite that fact, you will find yourself with quite a bit of armor as you play the game, so it is time to decide which one is the best.

#10. Archangel Bra

Though it sounds weird, this armor is actually good with defense and evasion as well as a good passive. However, this piece of armor can only be placed on female characters, making it restrictive on who to put it on.

Archangel Bra may take some work to get as it involves a high-level Persona to make but it is not impossible. Its passive is that it gives you reduced damage against Electricity attacks. This is useful, especially against enemies that use Electricity attacks as their primary means of attack. You get Archangel Bra by using Electric Chair Execution on the Persona Sraosha.

Why Archangel Bra is Great:

  • Reduces damage against Electricity attacks
  • Good defense
  • Can be acquired through Electric Chair Execution

Archangel Bra’s details:

  • Defense 200
  • Evasion 18
  • +Reduce Electricity damage (high)
  • Females

#9. Black Jacket

Black Jacket is insanely powerful with good defense and evasion with a decent passive. It can only be equipped by male characters, therefore, restricting who you are able to put it on.

Black Jacket will take some work to get as it requires the Electric Chair Execution. You need to use Hell Biker in order to get Black Jacket. Its passive is to prevent insta-kill attacks from Curse. It is not the greatest because enemies don’t often use insta-kill attacks and when they do, they don’t always land. This makes this armor very situational.

Why Black Jacket is Great:

  • It prevents insta-kill attacks from Curse
  • Relatively easy to get if you have Hell Biker

Black Jacket’s details:

  • Defense 120
  • Evasion 12
  • Prevents Insta-kill from Curse
  • Males

#8. Soul Vest+

Soul Vest+ has a great defense and good evasion and a valuable passive to those who need it. It is also easy to get in a sense. All you have to do is go to the laundromat. The armor is also unisex, meaning it can be placed on either male or female characters.

Soul Vest+’s passive gives you more SP which is important in almost every single fight. This is because SP helps with the ability to use skills during battle, when that goes away it makes fights either insanely difficult or impossible. In order to get Soul Vest+, you need to wash Unholy Armor at the laundromat and you will have a chance to get it.

Why Soul Vest+ is Great:

  • Good Defense
  • Gives more SP
  • Unisex

Soul Vest+’s details:

  • Defense 263
  • Evasion 16
  • +40 SP
  • Unisex

#7. Empathy Cape

Empathy Cape is like Soul Vest+ but slightly better and can be acquired easily late game. It has a great defense and good evasion while also having a really good passive. It is also unisex, meaning that you can put it on either female or male characters.

Empathy Cape gives you more SP which is just slightly more than you get with Soul Vest+. This SP will help you use more skills than you could normally or at least help you to survive longer. You get Empathy Cape in a chest in Qliphoth World, Road to the Holy Grail. This means that with enough exploring it is yours.

Why Empathy Cape is Great:

  • Great Defense
  • Gives more SP
  • Unisex

Empathy Cape’s details:

  • Defense 246
  • Evasion 12
  • +50 SP
  • Unisex

#6. Karna’s Robe+

Karna’s Robe has a great defense, good evasion as well as a relatively good passive that can help in any battle. On top of that, it is relatively easy to get, either by purchasing it late game or finding it in a chest late game. Unfortunately, it can only be worn by male characters, therefore limiting who can wear it.

Karna’s Robe reduces physical damage to the character who wears it. This is good because it boosts your ability to survive in battles, even by a small amount. How you get Karna’s Robe is either via a chest in Mementos, Sheriruth, or by going to Untouchable (12/22).

Why Karna’s Robe is Great:

  • Great defense
  • Reduces physical damage

Karna’s Robe’s details:

  • Defense 238
  • Evasion 14
  • +Reduce Physical damage (low)
  • Males

#5. Immortal Vest

Immortal Vest has an insane defense, good defense, and a good passive. It makes it onto this part of the list due to its high defense. It is easy to get as all you have to do is complete a quest. Again unfortunately it can only be worn by male characters and limits who you are able to put this armor on.

Immortal Vest’s passive gives you more HP, which isn’t the greatest but does help you stay alive in rather difficult fights but is not necessary if you focus on other stats. You get it by completing the quest “The Head Honcho of Showbiz.”

Why Immortal Vest is Great:

  • Great defense
  • Extra HP

Immortal Vest’s details:

  • Defense 304
  • Evasion 16
  • +30 HP
  • Males

#4. Haten Robe+

Haten Robe+ has great defense and evasion as well as a good passive that is useful on certain characters. It is rather easy to get as all you have to do is go to the laundromat. However, this armor can only be worn on females making it restrictive on who you can place it on.

Haten Robe+’s passive increases the magic stat of the character who wears it. Since this can only be placed on female characters, it makes it really good on characters like Ann and Makoto but can be placed on whoever you want. You can get it by going to the laundromat and washing the Unholy Armor and you have a chance to get it.

Why Haten Robe+ is Great:

  • Great defense
  • Great Evasion
  • Increases magic stat

Haten Robe+’s details:

  • Defense 275
  • Evasion 25
  • Magic +5
  • Females

#3. Tantric Oath

Tantric Oath has a great defense, good evasion, and a highly useful passive. It can be acquired through Electric Chair Execution but it requires doing quite a bit of work. Unfortunately, it can only be used on male characters and this, therefore, limits who you can put it on.

Tantric Oath’s passive reduces the damage you take from magic attacks. This is useful because a lot of enemies' main attacks are magic. You can get it by using Electric Chair Execution on the Persona Satan.

Why Tantric Oath is Great:

  • Great defense
  • Reduces Magic damage

Tantric Oath’s details:

  • Defense 272
  • Evasion 18
  • +Reduce Magic damage (high)
  • Males

#2. Demon’s Jacket+

Demon’s Jacket+ has an amazing defense, great evasion, and an insanely good passive. It can be acquired quite easily if you use the laundromat. Unfortunately, only male characters can use this armor which makes it limiting on who you can put it on.

Demon’s Jacket+ boosts the strength stat, this is insanely good as it makes your characters' attacks stronger within battles. Characters like Yusuke and Ryuji would benefit from such a stat boost. All you have to do to get it is go to the laundromat and wash the Unholy Armor and hopefully get it.

Why Demon’s Jacket+ is Great:

  • Amazing defense
  • Boosts strength stat

Demon’s Jacket+’s details:

  • Defense 304
  • Evasion 21
  • Strength +5
  • Males

#1. Lucifer Guard

Lucifer Guard makes the top of this list because of how good the passive is and how, since it is unisex, can be put on any character. Its defense is great and its evasion is good. It does take work to get as you have to use the Electric Chair Execution.

Lucifer Guard’s passive is to reduce magic damage to your character. This is good because most attacks that enemies use are magic. You get it by using Electric Chair Execution on the Persona Messiah.

Why Lucifer Guard is Great:

  • Great defense
  • Unisex
  • Reduces Magic damage

Lucifer Guard’s details:

  • Defense 250
  • Evasion 10
  • +Reduce Magic damage (high)
  • Unisex

Armor is not necessary for your playthrough of Persona 5 but it can definitely help in your playthrough. These are just the best you can use within your playthrough but it is all up to preference in the end. A lot of these take a lot of work or luck to get and that means you won’t be able to get them as easily. It is always best to choose what is needed at any given time.
