Debatably the most important activity to do in Persona, ranking up your Confidants allows you to acquire moves, items, and other amazing features that will most definitely aid you as the story progresses. Of course, Persona is also known for allowing you to acquire romantic routes as well, which is indeed a feature in Persona 5.
