It can be said that the best offense is a good defense. Armor is essential for keeping you and your teammates up while making battles much easier to win. That being said, these are the best pieces of armor in Persona 5, ranked on stats and ability.
10. Archangel Bra
Archangel Bra is a female exclusive armor that can be obtained by itemizing Sraosha. Not only does it have high defense stats, but it also allows its wearers to resist electric magic, which can come in handy much more than you’d expect.
Archangel Bra Stats:
- 200 DEF
- 18 EVA
- Reduce Elec DMG (High)
What Makes Archangel Bra Awesome:
- Highly reduces electric damage
- Can be acquired by itemization
How to Get Archangel Bra:
- Requires Black Cloth
- Requires Sraosha
- Sraosha must be itemized through Electric Chair Execution
9. Soul Vest +
Soul Vest is a unisex armor piece that grants the user an extra 40 SP when wearing. This is great for magic oriented team members who will definitely put the extra SP to good use when fighting enemies and supporting teammates.

- Raises SP by 40 points

- Requires Unholy Armor

Over Guard is a male-exclusive armor that can be obtained in the Path to the Holy Grail, located in the Qliphoth World of Mementos. While it does not have any special effects, it is still a high-tier armor that can be acquired last minute.

What Makes Over Guard Awesome:
- High defense and evasion stats
- Can be acquired as an item drop after battles, meaning you won’t have to go out of your way to obtain it
How to Get Over Guard:
- Can be acquired as an item drop in the Path to the Holy Grail, which is in the Qliphoth World
7. Demon’s Jacket +
Demon’s Jacket is a male-exclusive armor with the highest base stats available. It is also perfect for enabling the attack power of its wearer, by increasing their current strength value by five points.

5. Karna’s Robe +
Karna’s Robe is an excellent armor piece that is exclusive to female party members. With high base stats and reduction of physical damage, this is not only perfect for normal battles but also facing enemies who deal heavy physical attacks.

Titanium Set + is a female exclusive armor that has a good mix of high defense and evasion rate. Offering resistance to hunger, which is an ailment that can lower attack and double skill cost, this can be a lifesaver against enemies who have attacks that can inflict that status ailment.

Lucifer Guard is a high tier armor that is debatably the best choice for combat all around. With a high base defense, the Lucifer Guard also allows the wearer to resist magic attacks, making it a much more optimal choice than other pieces of armor.

- Can be worn by both male and female party members
How to Get Lucifer Guard:
