So you got some wins on your belt and your skills are improving. However, you are still not one with your vehicle; maybe you got the wrong one. Check out the game's most popular and balanced cars and see if these models will get you your first online trophy
To dominate the competition in Rocket League you have to think quick, have lightning-fast reflexes, and it doesn’t hurt to have a good car either. But, with dozens of different cars to choose from, with no individual stats to see, it can be hard for veterans and rookies of the game alike to know which car will give them the competitive edge
There are a handful of cars that do stand out above the rest, however. No matter what your playstyle or experience level using one of these five cars are sure to help you rise up through the ranks of Rocket League.
5. Hotshot
So fresh and so clean clean
A lot of people may be turned off by the weird look of the Hotshot, but if you give it a chance you will be delighted to find that scoring just got a whole lot easier for you.
The Hotshot with it’s long, low hitbox is well-suited to flicking the ball. When you’re trying to score and an opponent is advancing, the Hotshot makes it almost too easy to launch the ball over his head and into the net. It’s a finesse move and it’s sure to leave your opponent steaming mad.
If they do happen to stop your progress and take the ball the other way, the Hotshot has the best turning in all of Rocket League. It lets you turn around and get back down on defense as quickly as possible so you can stop their attack.
4. Breakout
Time to break out and get that ball!
Newer players should avoid the breakout, but in the hands of a pro or experienced player, it can wreak havoc on the competition.
The Breakout is one of the longest cars in the game and most narrow and i. Its body shape makes it great for performing aerials and mid-air dribbles.
In the top-tiers of Rocket League, the majority of the game doesn’t take place on the field, but above it. When you find yourself in one of these games, using the Breakout can give you an edge over the competition.
3. Batmobile
The Dark Knight Rises and has a dope chrome job
While the Batman VS Superman film might not have been received so well, the Rocket League car it inspired has become a favorite among players.
Picking the best car in Rocket League is all about how the car performs, not how it looks. But, it has to be said that the Batmobile is one of the coolest looking cars in the game. With its sleek design and sharp lines, the coolness factor of driving this car might bump up your confidence enough to tilt some games in your favor.
Looks alone won’t make you a great player, however. The Batmobile’s incredible handling on the other hand just might. It has one of the longest and widest hitboxes in the game making handling, aerials, and directing your shots extremely intuitive.
Also, it has faster turning while boosting than any other car in the game, meaning you don’t have to sacrifice speed when maneuvering.
With both the awesome look and the tight handling, The Batmobile is one of the most fun cars to use in all of Rocket League.
2. Dominus
Go Big or Go Home
If your playstyle involves a lot of high-flying maneuvers, few cars can compete with the Dominus. It’s a car that was made for big-time plays.
Nothing looks quite as impressive as chasing a ball up the wall, dribbling through the air, and spiking it in your opponents’ goal. To pull that off you’ll need a car that handles really well in the air.
Aerials are much easier to pull off in the Dominus thanks to its long nose and flat body that make spinning in the air feel fluid and easy to pull off.
And, while it’s spectacular in the air, it’s no slouch on the ground either. It has a tight turn radius and quick 180 degrees, making it one of the best cars to hold off opponents when they’re attacking your goal.
1. Octane
Winner Winner. Chicken Dinner
If you’re looking for an all-around type car that’s acceptable for everyone then you want the Octane. This is the car most players start with, and it’s the one almost every player comes back to.
There is a reason the Octane is used by nearly 50% of professional players, it just feels better than every other car. Something about the look and the way the car handles just feels realistic and natural out on the field in a way the other cars don’t.
The Octane has a well-sized hitbox, which determines the area of contact your car makes with the ball. It also has a balanced turning radius making it easier to reverse directions and maneuver on the field.
What really sets the Octane apart from other cars, however, is how easy it is to start performing aerial shots or dribbling. This is, something you have to be able to do if you want to stand a chance in the upper tiers of the game.
